I shared a short post on noisecash yesterday on my preparation for today Sunday service, how I was pressing my cloth with pressing iron and polishing my shoe against today. I woke up at 6:30 am today to get ready and dressed up for today Sunday service. The service will start at 8 am so I have to be there early, today being the last Sunday of the month, I have been anticipating it because the praise and worship will hit differently. After all, we should thank God for allowing us to see today being the last Sunday of the month.
The Sunday service started with praise and worship and it lasted for about 40 minutes, after that, we move to a brief introduction into the service and the choristers came to the altar to bless us with their wonderful and prayerful rendition titled " pressing on". The song is to inform us to keep moving on to greatness with the power and backup of the Lord Jesus.
After the rendition, we move to the sermon session which was anchored by the senior pastor of the church. Oh, my bad, I forgot to tell you guys, my roommate followed me to church today without inviting him. I am glad he followed me and am very sure he enjoyed the service. The senior pastor started by telling the couples to sit down beside each other while we the youth maintain our sit. What was he trying to do? He only wants them to sit together to settle their longtime dispute because the topic warrants it. What's the topic?
Forgiveness
Are you still holding grudges with your partner? Or with your friend? Or your neighbour? Or even with your government? You are still keeping malice with them because of the things they did to you right? Hmmm, forgive and forget to make your way right in the presence of God.
The Bible says in Matthew 6 vs 12
" And forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us"
If we fail to forgive people around us, our heavenly Father will not also forgive us. Do you know what that means? It means our chance of getting to heaven is not sure at all because if God did not forgive you, who else will? Nobody at all because nobody is greater than God.
The number of times needed to forgive someone is specified in the Bible but many will see it as a means of holding unto someone not to forgive but what Jesus meant in that passage is you should forgive and forget no matter how painful the offence is.
Matthew 18 vs 21-22 says,
" 21 Then peter came to him and said lord, how many times may my brother sin against m and I forgive him and let it go? ( As many as ) up to seven times?
22 Jesus answered him I tell you ,not up to seven times, but seventy times seven."
Is only a jobless and foolish person that will start counting the number of times his brother offend him till it complete the result of seventy times seven. What Jesus was trying to say in all is to forgive the person and forget without holding any grudges or malice.
Keeping malice or grudges affect us emotionally and psychologically by draining us and stressing our hormones but many don't know this. Why undergo all these when you can just let go and take it away from your mind and have that peaceful and beneficial life.
All these was discussed today in church and I felt I should share it here with us so that we all can also learn from it. I am sure you have learn another new thing to what you know before, so happy to hear a yes as an answer from you.
Thanks for reading, I really appreciate everyone. Thanks again to @CoquiCoin for renewing her sponsorship, God bless you ma. Happy Sunday once again.

There are some people in our place that makes our heart sad, but we are just saying "Let us give everything to GOD". To forgive them without saying sorry:)
