In a week where the encounters of two worlds between great sports and entertainment personalities were highly enjoyed by the riders of the Great Circus, they went to play the 5th valid of the season in an attractive city in South Florida. Friday was marked by fast timing between the 2 most powerful vehicles of the season: Red Bull and Ferrari, where it was not clear who could be the owners of the first place for Saturday, however, George Russell with Mercedes GP slipped into the 2nd training session, a team that has not been able to achieve the indicated set-up where the multi-champion Lewis Hamilton has had to suffer to return to his days of high triumphs.

A new track, which must be recognized, again and again, to be focused on Saturday's session to seek to be in the leading positions that would lead so many drivers to error, including the current world champion Max Verstappen where he brushed the wall in the first practices and almost emulates it the next day. Drivers such as the experienced Valtteri Bottas who "premiered" the Miami track did not have the same luck, as well as Esteban Ocon and Carlos Sainz who had similar accidents in the same curve as shown in the image below.

On Saturday the high favorites continued to be confirmed, where surprises came from those eliminated at Qualys, at least for subsequent phases such as Magnussen in Q1, then other relevant ones such as Alonso, Ricciardo, Vettel and Russell who had been first in FP2 was left out of Q3. So they reached the TOP 10 of drivers where Charles Leclerc achieved pole position, followed by his teammate Carlos Sainz and 3rd Max Verstappen. Below are the total standings for the race:

The defining moment, the race. At the start, Leclerc easily maintained 1st place, while Verstappen beat Sainz to slip into 2nd. It was an uneventful start highlighted by a good start from Alonso and a big setback in the back positions from Russell. Before reaching lap 10, the champion stalked Leclerc to take 1st place in the race.

Between a series of strategies and overtaking, everything seemed to lead to a somewhat calm zone, until on lap 41 Pierre Gasly went off the track and on the way back he had a collision with Lando Norris that left him in the middle of the track and out of the race, for the Safety Car to enter. After some laps to clean the track due to the crash, there were 10 laps of high tension, which had several nuances, especially in midfield.

Rejoining the active grid, all kinds of more collisions with a street track would come. Mick Schumacher did not make a big decision in the first corner when he took his compatriot Sebastian Vettel leaving out the former champion and more incidents that radically changed so many positions that would later be investigated by the stewards.

Ahead nothing changed and Max Verstappen ended up taking the victory in the new Miami GP, followed by Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz third. It is the 5th date of 23 races that they will have in this long season, and there are still many emotions to offer.

It was an entertaining race, it feels special when it is another in the American continent, so we will make another special post of that magical weekend in this city of the USA because the pilots had a great time and the off-track moments they enjoyed should be emphasized.
