Yoohoo I love the gratinated onion soup. I did not know it was a french specialty. Nice result!! ps: my personal own touch, I rub the bread with a garlic clove before grilling and mix a portion of the cooked onions to give the soup more texture and taste.
Do you know that if you don't have wine in the house, a great substitute is to add vinegar and sugar. Otherwise, lunch is great.
