Cariaquito for Bad Luck
This plant is native to Central and South America and the Caribbean, it can also be found in Africa and Madagascar, it has more than 160 species, I only knew 3 until I investigated, the photos I show were taken in the surroundings of my urbanization. We have a saying: "Bathe with Cariaquito Morado" to eliminate bad luck. This plant is used in esotericism, witchcraft, although I don't believe in those things, they fly... they fly.
I love the yellow one, since it started to bloom it has been kept, it has been planted for four months and I notice that it is creeping, the orange one I like very much because it combines its color with the red one but it grows very high and it is necessary to control it and the purple one is the most common, it is everywhere. I have been told that the white one is very beautiful, but I have not seen it.
It is a shrub that can grow up to 4 meters high, I like them because they are in bloom all year round. Its reproduction is by seeds, although I have sowed them and the orange ones are not born to me, also by cuttings, that way if I have been able to reproduce them, I want to sow them in all the urbanization for their showy colors, of course if the neighbors let me. They have medicinal properties, it is recommended to make concoctions for respiratory ailments, also to take baths to eliminate muscle aches, also used to lower fever, soothe dizziness, relieve varicose veins, among others.
I use the plants sown around the crops together with other plants, as a barrier to harmful insects and attraction to beneficial insects, besides that the crop looks very beautiful. The plant is very beautiful, but when you touch it the leaves are rough and the stem has a kind of thorn that is stinging to the touch, it leaves scabbing and redness, not everything is perfect.

Does it give good smell?
The flowers have no fragrance, but the leaves have a very strong smell and I don't like it, as long as you don't touch them there are no problems.
Oh yeah i remember that, we have them in our school before. The leaves really stink for me that i get nauseated when I smell them.
