Posibly you have seen, or known, or are yourself a person with a university degree, and many times we hear or have known that since there are some people who did terribly in their university career, others did not do so badly.
And today I want to talk to you from my experience. A few months ago, thank God I obtained my university degree, and it was simply not easy for me to obtain it, and not because I was a bad student, but because when you choose a university degree, you not only choose the degree that your diploma will have at the same time. time for it to be delivered to you, not only do you choose the "graduate", "engineer", "doctor", "lawyer", "teacher", no, when you choose a university career, you choose an adventure, in which many times not everything It comes out as you expect it.
In my case, during my university career, I had moments in which I had to stay all day at the university, because the fact of returning home would simply make me miss the ticket to go to class the next day, and well when I had those days many times I could not prepare a packed lunch (due to the country situation) and I had to endure some moments of hunger, sometimes I met people who without me asking or saying it, simply wanted to share with me, which I am very grateful to God.
It also happened to me many times that no matter how hard you try, there will always be someone for whom you are not doing well, and in those moments I had to cry many times in the university bathroom, because of the helplessness I could feel in that moment, but thank God I always found people who gave me words of encouragement, and just that for me at that moment was enough to wipe away the tears and continue.
Other times I realized that the sacrifice was worth it, when I got good grades, and there were people who required my help in some evaluation.
But I also had disappointing moments when I helped many times and missed the absences in some evaluations of many people, and when I needed it, I just found people with very sharp claws.
Well, anyway, as I had moments in which not everything was rosy, I also had moments in which, thank God, things went very well for me, the truth is that many people, or many of our families, are oblivious to knowing what you really live when we are in college and we really want to get ahead.
That is why behind a university degree there are many things, from bribes, cheating, to study and true sacrifice.
Noy all stories are the same, this is mine in particular, and I think that I have fallen short with the amount of things I experienced in college (laughs), I can only tell you that if you are studying, keep going, no matter how hard that it can be, and as a song says: "and in the end what will come will be much better, it is part of a purpose and everything will work out well (Y al final será mucho mejor lo que vendrá, es parte de un propósito y todo bien saldrá)."
Congrats to you. I have 3 degrees and am working on my 4th (seminary). Times can be hard when earning a degree. My first was when I had a family, worked 2 jobs and went to university. I hope your degree pays off for you. Mine did in some ways, but ultimately they are pieces of parchment that demonstrate to others that we possess the wherewithal to study and stick to something. Most people never work in the field they graduate from. That's a fact. Good luck!
