Minimalism does not mean living in one t-shirt, a backpack, a single room, but organizing what we have according to our needs and living with a focus on meaning instead of things.

The concept of minimalism, which has simplification at its core, has now found a place in many areas of our lives, from nutrition to clothing, from the size of our homes to our digital habits.

Consuming constantly, always needing more, has become tiring for us over time. We couldn't keep up with buying, reading, watching and thinking. Unlabeled clothes in our closets, shoes we never wear, storage spaces we fill to the brim, and our minds as full as they areā€¦ Our possessions have turned into a giant mess. So let's take a look at what we need to do to get out of this mess.

First of all, we should start the practice part by reviewing our belongings and habits. Next, we need to identify what is truly meaningful to us. Simplifying isn't just about reducing our stuff to a certain number. It is also changing our habits and making room for life. Of course, our needs and priorities will vary. For example, if the skateboard I bought years ago hasn't come out of my locker and hasn't seen the light of day, it's not a necessity for me. However, the same skate is a necessity for someone who uses it every day. As we review our possessions, or more generally possessions, we can ask ourselves these questions:

When was the last time I used this?

How often do I use it?

Is it really necessary for me?

In line with the answers we gave to the questions, we determined the condition of our belongings. Now we can eliminate them. We can use three methods here; If it's unusable let's throw it away, if it's in good condition let's donate it or sell it. Thus, we realize the first step of making space for ourselves in our lives. In this process, our inner voice may whisper to our ears, "Look, maybe we need it".

What is Minimalism?

Minimalism does not mean living in one t-shirt, a backpack, a single room, but organizing what we have according to our needs and living with a focus on meaning instead of things.

How is Minimalism Applied?

First of all, we should start the practice part by reviewing our belongings and habits. Next, we need to identify what is truly meaningful to us. Simplifying isn't just about reducing our stuff to a certain number. It is also changing our habits and making room for life.

How to Make Minimalism Permanent?

From time to time, we have to repeat the elimination process in line with our changing needs and habits. We should also be more conscious when buying new things. We must consider whether we really need it or whether we believe it is needed. Otherwise, we only change the items we store. We saw that the spaces we emptied were filled again.
