The whole "bad energy consumption by BTC" is scientifically mislead. Energy is needed for everything. The game theory mathematicians will tell you, that no matter what energy BTC consumes you have to count the worst, because if it would not do it, these worst could be shut down ... sounds logical. But the future is not reducing energy consumption but building up renewables. If the poltical aim is to switch to renewables, renewables have to become the cheapest. As mining is most profitable with the cheapest energy, every mining takes place, where the cheapest energy is available (and where the politics do NOT threaten to pull the plug) Conclusion: Dear politicians! Please set the economic environment to produce the cheapest and sustainable energy. AND welcome crypto miners.
