Thumb up to smartBCH nodes and infrastructure maintainers

The Bitcoin Cash side chain, known as smartBCH, has long been considered one of the most innovative decentralized finance platforms around. Over the last few months, the smartBCH ecosystem has seen incredible growth and has expanded to tens of thousands of users. Despite this, the development team has continued to maintain the smartBCH nodes, working with low funding and few resources to keep the network running. This is largely achievable, thanks to the efforts of builders and smartBCH node maintainers like Josh Ellithorpe (aka zquestz) running the smartbch.greyh.at node, Jt Freeman (aka blockparty-sh) who runs the smartbch.fountainhead.cash/mainnet node, and many other hard-working contributors in the smartBCH ecosystem like the smartBCH node maintainers over at https://www.uat.cash/.

The smartBCH community has been growing rapidly, and thanks to the efforts of a dedicated few, the nodes remain one of the most reliable on the network. But with so much responsibility comes a great deal of pressure, and while the smartBCH community is fully supportive of the efforts of the developers, they would certainly appreciate it if their efforts were recognized somewhat more often. After all, it takes a lot of hard work to keep a node running smoothly, especially when you’re working with limited funding.

Did you know that smartBCH nodes can get over 200 requests per second on days with somewhat heavy network traffic? ? Especially when new projects or products are launched on the chain and there are huge amounts of concentrated activity!

Node & infrastructure maintainers need more funding, encouragement & appreciation to keep them dedicated to helping smartBCH continue to grow as a decentralized finance ecosystem. They are working with limited funds, and few resources, to keep the network running. The community should really show their appreciation for their efforts! I’m talking about sending a thumbs up, leaving a comment on any post made by these people, or sending some funds to support their work in any way that you can.

It is disheartening to see a recent tweet by Josh Ellithorpe only got a few likes and three comments which is very poor for a community such as smartBCH.It is even more disheartening to see that not many people are aware of the tremendous amount of work these few individuals are putting in to keep the smartBCH network running. After all, it doesn’t matter how many nodes we have if they’re not being maintained, right? The smartBCH community needs to show more appreciation for its efforts.

Most people don't even know what a node means and how they work to keep the smartBCH running smoothly. The work of the nodes is to ensure a smooth running of the network by ensuring smooth transaction experiences and that transactions are confirmed as quickly as possible. Without these nodes, smartBCH is completely unusable. The smartBCH nodes are responsible for testing out new features and running the data stores for smartBCH. They ensure the security of the smartBCH network by generating a chain of hashes to ensure the blocks contain only valid transactions.

It is difficult to explain all of this to a general audience and understand the amount of work it takes to keep a network running. Not everyone is aware of the process the smartBCH nodes go through to ensure that the network is not in danger. It is also hard to find information about how to support these nodes, and understand what they do in the background. I’m sure that some of the people that support the smartBCH network don’t really understand all of these facts as they didn’t know it before. It is therefore important for the smartBCH community to take the time to educate new people about the importance of the smartBCH nodes and the work they do to keep the smartBCH network running smoothly.

smartBCH & BCH network maintainers could be encouraged with more funding and appreciation for their efforts. This would give them further motivation, to be dedicated to helping Bitcoin Cash continue to grow as decentralized finance and peer-to-peer payments ecosystem. The community should really show their appreciation for their efforts in any way they can. They deserve it!

Just let them know that the smartBCH community cares about them and appreciates all of their hard work. They would surely appreciate it. It is time that we give them the support they need to continue their good work and hopefully make smartBCH the best alternative for decentralized finance!
