Introducing Metashoes game-fi/social-fi walk-to-earn platform on the metaverse

About a month ago I started exploring the blockchains in search of a fresh opportunity to earn some income in the NFT market space. After a lot of failed attempts, I found an innovative NFT project that I think has the potential to become the next big thing in the game-fi ecosystem. This project is called Metashoes, a project that starts with NFT minting on the Dogechain.

Built with Game-Fi and Social-Fi components. Metashoes is a platform that requires the use of an NFT that comes in the form of a Sneaker for a user to equip himself to engage in the walk-to-earn game. Users earn in-game tokens as they engaged in movement which is recorded in the app. The tokens can be used for in-game activities or swapped on the dex for profit.

MetaShoes incorporate a Social-Fi component as a solid foundation to influence millions of people toward a healthy lifestyle. It's a cutting-edge innovation that is capable of enhancing people's way of life.

In society today, the practice of exercising has completely faded out. The rate of inactivity has contributed most to the failing health of so many people. This is what the Metashoes project seeks to address by enabling people to take up a fitness challenge via the use of the Metashoes NFT as they connect with the metaverse.

With a focus on encouraging the development of your well-being, MetaShoes wants to be the main social networking site for the fitness industry. In MetaShoes, every step a user takes is an opportunity to make money. Achievements from MetaShoes can be used in the game world or just as NFT prizes. Making more friends and increasing interaction with everyone can be accomplished by participating in MetaShoes tasks together. Participating in group activities promotes interpersonal trust, warmth, and a deeper understanding of one another. ‎

The Metashoes project's vision is to create a virtual character that can be connected to users' profiles in the real world to take up a role in the Metashoes ecosystem.
It aims to encourage users to adopt a healthy lifestyle. By burning calories through movement activities with the use of the NFT, a user earn money. The more you move, the more calories you burn, and the more money you earn.

How to start using the Metashoes game-fi and social-fi platform

‎Step 1. Downloading and installing the Metashoes app (link not available at the time of writing)

The Metashoes app will be available for users to download directly from the Google play store as soon as it's released. The app release is scheduled for 17, September.

Step 2. Sign up for the app with your email address and confirm it in your inbox immediately.

‎Step 3. Create your wallet in the app. the process is similar to how you any Cryptocurrency wallet works. You will receive 12-words seed phases which you will be required to write down and keep in a safe place. The wallet is used for every transaction within the app.

Step 4. Fund your wallet

Although the Metashoes game-fi/social-fi platform has a free mode, users who want to earn money will need to fund their wallet with at least $6 in wdoge tokens. You can get this by bridging in Dogecoin using any of the available bridges.

Apart from wdoge you will also need to have some MTS token, the Metashoes platform native token. You can easily get it on the Dex which you can get into through the Metashoes app.

Step 5. Buy your Metashoes

If you want to make money using the Metashoes game-fi and social-fi platform you will need to have at least 2 Metashoes. The app has its integrated NFT marketplace where users can buy and sell their Metashoes easily.

At the time of writing, the Metashoes is currently being minted on their website directly at the price of 30 wdoge, about $2.56. After the minting, the app will be the platform where everything about Metashoes will be conducted.

The Metashoes are in a very limited supply, only 2000 shoes are available for minters in the first generation. There will be a scarcity of Metashoes once the 200 pieces are sold out. This can easily lead to a high price for the shoes once the game got underway.

Step. 6. Taking up the challenge to earn money

There are various challenges in the application. The challenges are about the distances of movement you can choose to accomplish within the specified period to earn money. As said before, you have the option of free challenges and paid challenges. Only users who own Metashoes can take up a paid challenge.

‎After picking up a challenge, engage in walking, running, or jumping activities to burn calories for Money.

Getting your payment

After completing a challenge, submit your results recorded on your device to the result submission section in the app. Once your results are checked your payment will be sent to your wallet in the app where you can either withdraw it or use it to buy more shoes or MTS token to get more staking power for your shoes.

Game structure

Solo mode:

‎This is phase 1 of the project. In this mode, the user needs to go with 1 Metashoes to start running, and MTS energy for 5 minutes of the race. ‎

when on solo mode, the player will appear on their in-app screen displaying the status after pressing Start. Players will begin running by selecting a pair of shoes that are appropriate for their fitness and health. The player will receive a varying amount of MTS depending on the kind of shoes they are wearing. The amount of MTS that each pair of shoes will provide for players will vary depending on the type, attributes, level, and personal speed of each pair of shoes.

Players can spend MTS to purchase additional energy when the allotted energy for a game day has been used up; the cost of 1 MTS will determine the MTS to Energy conversion rate. If you do not use your energy, it will able to build up in your wallet. ‎

That's all about the Metashoes game-fi and social-fi walk to earn for now. The next playing mode will be implemented during the second phase of the project where users will have the opportunity to breed new Metashoes by merging 2 older shoes and can invite a friend to play the game together.
