in everyday life in the wild, many predators set to hunt to survive. Yet few risk their lives to enter dangerous battles, which can be turned upside down at any second. So let's together review one of these daring apex predators.

Panthanal, Amazon is home to a special member of the big Cat family. Jaguar, the third-largest big cat, an apex predator with unique hunting skills. Unlike his cousins in Africa, the jaguar, likes water, for it holds some of his favorite meals! And sometimes dangerous ones! Caimans.

Other big cats do not have much chance when facing crocodiles. Even in group on land they can barely take a croc same weight as themselves down.

But Jaguar is a true croc killer! not only on land but also in water.

what makes the jaguar gaining the upper hand?

The Jaguar has the most powerful bite force among all big cats (equal to 1500 PSI). That enables him to take on larger dangerous preys because of the way he hunts.

Other big cats kill their prey by suffocating it. while Jaguar’s powerful bite can punctures the prey's skull and makes an instant kill!

That enables the jaguar to take on crocodilians larger than himself even in water where the Caiman has more speed and agility.

The predator & prey challenge continues until the jaguar bites the skull. This, immobilizes the prey and gives him the chance to pull it out of the water.

Jaguar’s habitat mostly overlaps with that of Jacare caiman. They are medium sized crocodilians and fairly easy meal for the Jaguar. but lets see how far this can get.

Jaguar Vs Black Caiman

The black caiman, is the largest predator in the whole Amazon ecosystem.

They can grow up to 20 feet long and weigh over 2400 lbs!

Besides enormous size, they have the strongest measured bite force among all animals equal to 6000 PSI! Their jaws can easily shatter turtle shell.

The black caiman has been the Amazon’s apex predator for millions of years. Even big cats like jaguar and cougar avoid waters they call home.

Yet, there have been few cases where Jaguars tried to take on younger black Caimans.

This is a truly dangerous prey.

If the jaguar gets bitten even once from the Caiman, the tables will be turned. That’s when the hunter becomes the hunted!

In confrontation of these two apex predators, the Jaguar is not always the lucky one.

There have been a recent footage showing a young jaguar were found inside a big black caiman in brazil.
