It benefits allot to be obedient and heed to advice of elders because they are More experienced and know more than we do

There's a parable that says what an elderly person sees while sitting even if you a Younger one climbs the tallest tree you cannot see it, you should have pondered over this a little.

Now,what is obedience,we all have various ways of defining obedience but I will define obedience as the adherence to set down rules and principles by higher authorities or elderly ones.

Sometimes not obeying the order if so elder helps one scale through trouble and regrets but most at times it benefits to obey.

The fact that am saying obey your elders doesn't necessarily mean that even when you are asked to commit an offence by an elder you should go ahead and commit it, as a matured Person we should be able to distinguish between good and bad,so as to know when to obey and when not to, but when you don't want to heed to an elders instructions you say it in a proper way not rudely.

In most situation people obey orders Because they want rewards and want to avoid negative consequences of disobeying, and because they believe an authority is legitimate. In more extreme situations people obey even when they are required to violate their own values or commit crimes.

Benefits of obedience: obedience has lots of benefit both to individuals and society at large but I will just mention a few of them;

1)it helps you deal with bad events whenever you experience difficulties.

2) Elders around you will always help you in need when you are loyal.

3)helps you gain happiness.

4) helps you live a better life.

5) stores lots of reward for you in heaven.

6)it poses a good image of you.

7) makes you trustworthy.

8)makes your parents and elders love you more etc.

I will like to share a story on how obedience helped me escape trouble.

My friends and I planned attending a friend's birthday party, I told my parents about it but they told me I shouldn't go that they don't have a good feeling about the outing, my friends told me that their parents also had the same opinion about the outing and refused them going but they said they couldn't miss this party for anything in the world and I told them that I can't disobey my parents.they started calling me respectful child and other name, saying I can't be bold and courageous for once but I still bluntly refused joining them.

On that faithful night, they snuck out but I refused going as my parents had advised,so I stayed back but I was unhappy and felt lonely refusing to see or talk to anyone.

The next day I was anticipating for their call for them to give me the gist on how the party went. Then something shocking happened the next day, while my parents were watching the news they saw that some set if students died on their way back from a party, my parents recognized my friends and called me immediately telling me to listen to the news on hearing the news I was so happy to have listened to my parents.

At first it may look as if your parents are over protective but the fact is that it's for your best interest and later you'll know the reason why they did it for you and you will appreciate.

Please like and comments and also share your experience on how obedience has helped you scale through trouble.

Thanks...
