"in 6 Words" Day#7 of writing for 30 Days
Hello Readcashers!
I hope you are all doing well ☺️. Today is 7th day of writing for 30 days and today's topic is "in 6 words", a story in six words. So it's gonna be a little hard. Aniko said: once Hemingway was asked to write a story in just six words, and the resultant story was; "On sale: baby shoes, never worn". As we can interpret literature on the basis of our own background knowledge, and point of views. This 6 word story can be about a shop offering baby shoes which were given to them by a couple who had a child but couldn't see their child wearing those shoes. Or you can have other interpretations. In 2006, SMITH magazine challenged their readers and writers to write their memoirs and journals in 6 words, and this resulted with the book named " Not quite what I was planning. Six-word memoirs by writers famous and obscure".
So all this shows that a story, an experience, a thought can be expressed in 6 words. It's a quite difficult task to do. It would require to have a deep understanding of your life or any story you read and then choose right words for expression.
So I would go with:
" I never decided, but I did"
Here are some other 6 word stories;
" He was the one, I wasn't".-Cathy Colinson
"I thought we had more time". - Joe Hill
" I still make coffee for two". - Zak Nelson
Next slogan is " out of the frame". In this Aniko says to take a picture, a picture which is new to you or maybe interests you most. Just take it and try to imaginatively answer few questions like, what was going in the photo?, Who took this photo?, What are the circumstances?, What happened after taking photo and what happened before few seconds of taking the photo?, Etc.
That was all for today! Today's writing seems quite short to me, maybe because of the nature of the writing trigger. Well, see you again ☺️!
Bye-bye 👋🌃
