How many times does your elbow hit something, numb your body in pain, and feel as if a million volts of electrical energy penetrated your arm?

This trauma is completely uncompromising and which continues to feel pain because of it for two minutes. You think that it is caused by collision of the elbow bones, but it is not this real reason. To know what happens when your elbow collides, you should continue reading the article:

Why does electric shock occur?

The bone in the elbow area is called the "entertaining bone", which after colliding with anything becomes an indefinite name! And the nerve that feeds this bone is called the "ulnar nerve", which passes at the beginning of the spine and then passes the arm from the back and then wraps to pass around the inner part of the arm and below the elbow until it reaches the palm of the hand.

This nerve is one of the three nerves responsible for feeding the arm, so it has a lot of pressure, and this pressure is at the spine or under the palm bones, but the most common is that it is compressed at the elbow area.

And it extends through the muscles under the forearm to reach the palm of the hand and feeds the pinky and ring fingers, and because the elbow area is very close to the skin, so it is very sensitive to any shock, and this pain that resembles an electric shock is emitted upon collision and you feel tingling in the pinkie and ring finger and this is because the nerve extends to the palm .

Pain is not only related to collision in order to feel pain, but just because you bend your arm for a long time increases pressure on the ulnar nerve and causes a feeling of numbness in the forearm area, and because this stimulates the nerve, bending your arm for long periods or bending it several times in a row will bring you many painful symptoms.

For example, when most people bend their arms during sleep, this exacerbates the symptoms of pressure on the nerve, which causes them to wake up at night, but their fingers remain numb (severe numbness).

Funny bone

Doctors call the elbow area a "joint bone" for two reasons:

  • The first is anatomical, because when viewed through the microscopic rays, it looks comical.

  • The second is the result of pain, tremors, and a loss of ability to hold things when exposed to shock.

The terminal bone is connected to the ulnar nerve, which extends from the spine, then passes to the arm from the back, then wraps to pass around the inner part of the arm and below the elbow, until it reaches the palm of the hand.

Although a large part of the ulnar nerve is protected - like all other nerves in the body - by muscles and ligaments, the part in the cubital canal is surrounded by fat and skin only, which makes it subject to continuous trauma.

Risks of bruising to the junction

Constant pressure on the ulnar nerve when bruising in the marginal bone in the elbow region may cause some health problems, including:

Chronic irritation:

One of the transient bruises may cause the ulnar nerve to suffer chronic irritation, which causes the person to feel pain and electricity for several times, and this condition is known as ulnar nerve syndrome, and the most prominent symptoms of it are:

  • Severe pain in the elbow area.

  • Feeling of frequent tingling.

  • Pain in the fingertips.

  • Tingling in the hand.

  • Inability to carry things

  • Inability to close the palm.

Cubital canal syndrome

The ulnar nerve nourishes the small muscles in the hand and so it controls most of the fine movements. It also nourishes the larger muscles in the forearm that help you grasp things stronger.

A person suffers from “cubital tunnel syndrome”, in that the matter in the first case is to feel just a rapid, throbbing pain that hits the ulnar nerve, while in the second case it is to feel excruciating, painful and compressive pain that affects that nerve for a long period of time or repeatedly and here must be See a doctor immediately.

This is very important bone in human body, and heap also. Spine is the most important, because it hold almost whole body and give important moves to the body. Elbows and shoulder is critically overloaded at tennis sportsmen. So they need to take care about them a lot.

Being active is very important to the health of the spine, bones, heart, and all parts of the body, the more you stay active the more you contribute to the health of the spine.
