Exploring the Differences Between ENFP and INFPs
ENFPs and INFPs can have some similiarities. As they share similiar functions, they will naturally have certain characteristics in common. They are also both known as intuitive idealists, who are also perceiving types. While this is true, there are also some important differences between the two personality styles that it can be interesting to note.
ENFPs tend to be more free spirited while INFPs usually come across as more internal and reserved. In this sense they can seem quite different, at least in how they may seem at first.
A similarity which may be particularly note is that both of these types tend to act as mediator. NF types are known for their mediating qualities as they seek... This is part a quality of extroverted intuition as well as some other factors. Perhaps it is the quality of being a mediator as well as extroverted intuition and feeling preference type.
Both of these types, ENFPs and INFPsthey are both romantic, imaginiative and idealistic. Their lives are based around their emotions, ideal and relationships.
The INFP will usually feel like a more withdrawn personality. In some cases they may have many friends. Much of the time, the INFP seems withdrawn and reserved, even if they have many friends.
The ENFP in contrast feels more open and interpersonal, even just as a vibe. It is perhaps one of the most interpersonal seeming types, in how they come across. Because of their strong feeling preference, and also their strong interest in other people (which is aided heavily by extroverted intuition).
The ENFP and INFP are both types known for dedicating themselves to causes. This cause may be a person, or a political or social cause. They can become passionate in relation to this cause. In the ENFPs case they tend to spread themselves too thin by going from one cause to another too quickly, this is something they are known for.
The extroverted intuition function creates a stronger interest in others, and the interest ing cultivating many interests. Extroverted intuition seeks possibilities outside of itself, and seeks to connect the dots and notice patterns and hidden or previously unseen meanings. While introverted intuition might want to narrow, extroverted intuition wants to expand into new territory and create new possibilities.
ENFP can feel more fun and lighthearted in vibe than INFP. This has to do with how they seem at first. However, Introverted Sensing means they both usually both have a serious side.
ENFPs come in both serious and more lighthearted varieties. I think that ENFPs can seem quite lighthearted, and their serious side may be surprising to what you originally impression of them was. Though they seem lighthearted, their serious side is something they would see in themselves seriously.
