Hello Friends!
Today, let's talk about this quote from Jose Rizal.
He who does not know how to look back at where he came from will never get to his destination. - Jose Rizal
That quote has so many meanings, it's about not forgetting your roots, it's about not forgetting the people who helped you in times of drought, in times when there is no one that you can turn to. It's about remembering the people who mold you, who guide you, it's about the people who teach you about values in life. It is about looking back.
Respect begets respect.
Looking back where you came from is also connected with that line respect begets respect. It's about learning to respect the elders no matter how old you are. And parents should instill in their kids how to respect the people around them, whether they are young or old, rich or poor, they all deserve respect, and that also means respecting yourself. It is hard to respect other people if you don't know how to respect yourself.
If you want to be respected you have to respect the people around you, not only the people who are up there, not only those people with rank but all the people around you, and when I say all the people around you it means the janitors, the security guard, the peddlers, the street sweeper, the utility workers, the househelper, the people who collect your garbage, all those people.
One must learn to respect all kinds of people not only those people who can give you something, not only those people who can help you but even those people who have nothing because they are all human beings and they deserve respect too.
Looking back.
No one grew up alone, no one grew up without a hand to hold onto too. All of us were once a baby, a toddler, all of us undergo such development that made us who we are right now. Your parents, your grandparents, and the people around you help each other, support each other to mold you, to make you a better person every day.
Learn to appreciate those people who helped you grow up. It's not only your parents who raised you, who guide you in becoming someone that is respectable. There are also people around you who contributed something in order for you to grow up so well.
Just like on your first day of school, teachers are there to guide you, your classmates who became your friends are there to support you. And by the time you start to work, there are also people who will be there to train you, who will guide you on what you are going to do. Furthermore, there are still a lot of people that you are going to meet along the way to achieve your success. They may not help you now but it doesn't mean that you will not need them ever. Most of the time we meet people for a reason, and we never know when that time will come.
Remember all those people, cherish them, respect them because without them, without appreciating the efforts that they've done for you, without looking at how they contributed to your life, it is hard to make progress, it is hard to reach that success that you've been aiming, you may say that it is all your hard work yes it is but climbing up that ladder alone is hard, it is lonely, having some people around you to cheer you while on your way to success is a sweet achievement.

A unique phrase dear friend, no doubt many people when they reach a position or improve their economic condition, suffer a kind of amnesia and forget where they came from and who helped them get to where they are.
You have said something very necessary, we should not only thank our parents, they will always be paramount in our lives, because they were the first to help us progress and grow, but after them comes a large group of people who were a key piece for us to reach the top, because alone we would never have made it, and that is the problem many people because of their ego, think that they were the only ones who managed to make their dreams come true, but nobody helped, but even the one who drives a bus was a key piece for you to get to a meeting that maybe changed your life, without him, you would not have arrived, so these are things that we must keep in mind.
Each one of us has received internal or external help, to do something or achieve something, however we must ask ourselves, I thanked that person, is that with a nice phrase, you make the change: Thank you for helping me, thank you for being in my life, that changes the day of anyone, this publication many should read it my beautiful friend, thank you for sharing it, and write it in this way so beautiful and necessary, greetings.
