Psychopath (Part 2)

As usual, the heavy loads of works awaits for Jim. Seeing the corpse every day was just normal for him. Their place is full of crimes and violence, it seems killings was just a normal thing in their city. Maybe their city is full of 'Psychopath', according to his thoughts.

As the days passed, his desire and admiration for Lily get stronger and stronger. Although she didn't approach her again, he was just working casually and professionally with her after he was busted on his first attempt at pursuing her. He just watches Lily from apart silently, 'maybe I will just find the perfect timing to get her attention' he said to himself.

The day ended, he stretches and grabs his suit ready to go home. He reached the parking lot, he was about to enter his car when he heard quarreling voices. He searched for them, he saw Rick and Lily are fighting again, Rick was slapping Lily. He went to them hurriedly. Rick was about to slap Lily again, he was fast and stop Rick and hold his hands, while Lily stands behind him.

"Hey man, I slow down a bit! and stop hurting her!" Jim said.

"And who are you meddling with us?!" Rick shouted and punch his face.

"Don't you know who I am? Stop meddling with us or else you will be one of the corpses being inspected on the lab!" Said Rick while he gets his gun and pointed it to him.

"Rick stop it, please I am begging you! and please Jim leave us alone!" Lily said.

"But Lily what if she will beat you again?" Jim got worried.

"Again? so you are stalking us huh? This is the last time I warned you, bro, back off and mind your business nerd guy!" Rick said while grabbing Lily and forced her to enter the car.

Jim can't do anything because he is holding a gun, he was mad and furious with Rick he clenched his fists. Rick is abusing his power as a policeman, pointing a gun to a concerned citizen civilian. He is now convinced that their place is full of psychopaths even the men in uniform. In the morning, at the files room, she bumped into Lily again. Lily approached him.

"Hi, Jim hmm thank you for defending me yesterday but Rick is right, you should not middle with us," Lily said having a sad face.

"No, Lily I never regretted that I help you yesterday. Rick is a bastard for hurting you, he doesn't deserve you" Jim said.

"Thank you, Jim. It's just that I can't cut ties with him, he will threaten me" Lily replies.

"Don't worry Lily, I got you covered trust me" Jim promised her.

From that day they became friends, they got closer to each other and Lily is not scared of him anymore. Lily now notices that Jim is handsome, even if he is a nerd. If only Jim does not wear glasses and a bit fashionable he is more handsome than Rick. Jim promised to help her, this past few days Rick is busy in his undercover duty, the destiny is giving them a favor to have more time hanging out together. While Rick is away, Jim helps Lily to find a new apartment and leaving Rick, the sadist. He also accompanies her going home and picked her up and going work together. Lily started to fall in love with Jim, he is kind to her and very gentle, without knowing the danger awaits her when Rick will about to discover her affairs with him. Rick is obsessed with her, that always end ups to conflict and turn him a sadist. Lily felt like she was a damsel in distress and finally found a knight, Knight with shining thick glasses ackkk!
