Let us talk about Vocabulary and its significance in our day to day Life.
Many of the people I know would not mind or are not aware with the importance of having a great Vocabulary. One of the main reason why I joined this platform is to learn more Vocabulary/words that I can use my daily life and probably use when trying to engage to other people.
What is the significance of Vocabulary?
At an early age, it is important for someone improve their Vocabulary and even when we get older it is advisable to "not stop learning".
Here are the 5 reasons why:
Improves Comprehension
-This has always been a challenge especially when working. If you notice, in a working environment or in a team when the task is given to everyone and one fails to comprehend the task given to him/her and did not even care to ask could cause for a project to fail.
-Also, Vocabulary improves reading Comprehension especially that this is so useful during the Pandemic as we often use Email and digital communication to talk to our Colleagues.
Language Development
-Speaking with the words could improve communicating to other people confidently. Knowing the right words to say and by delivering exactly what "you mean" prevents miscommunication. It makes people easily express themselves effectively.
Communicating Ideas
-Since you have more or better Vocabulary it would be a lot easier for you to think as to how people could understand your point especially when discussing with a group of people.
Expressing yourself in Writing
-Other than being able to easily understand what you are reading, improving your Vocabulary would also make you express yourself in writing makes it a lot easier for your readers to understand what you mean and say do whatever instruction you may provide.
Occupational Success
-One of the best way to get hired is to make sure you were able to answer that interviewer with flying colors. Improving your Vocabulary and choosing the right words to say would make it a lot easier to nail an interview! There is no way we can just stay silent because in an organization you are assigned to every department and you got tasks to do and probably explain.
