Let me use this bible verse to explain what my topic means, "I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. Now choose life, so that you and your children may live". Permit me to rephrase the sentence, I have set before you wisdom and foolishness, riches and poverty. Now choose.
I can't be the one to choose for you, you are the one to make which choice will be good not only for you but for generations to come. Nobody will force us to choose to learn to grow wise or remain ignorant to become foolish in life, it is our choice to make.
I remember those days when we were still young, our parents will forcefully take us from the bed to bath us, most times, we will be crying while they are bath or brushing our teeth, forced to go to school, forced to do our assignments because we want to play but as we grow, they no longer force us, they only advice us because they believe we know what we are supposed to do.
The same goes with either learning or being ignorant, we decide within ourselves if we want to learn and get equipped for the future or if we want to be ignorant or remain ignorant. The choice is ours to make. In as much as, we are not forced to place food inside our mouth because we know it is the right place to put food, we can't as well be forced to learn because it is our choice.
We have all it takes, to be successful in life but we can only be successful if we decide to learn and not be ignorant. Life presents to us, learn and get wise which helps us accumulate wealth or remain ignorant and become foolish which makes us poor. The choice is ours to make. You know they say, "you can only force a horse to the river bank but you can't force the horse to drink the water.
Refuse to let the ignorant eat you up in this era where information is handy and can be gotten anywhere and anytime. It doesn't matter where you are or which country you are in.
Ignorance kills faster than we can tell and it is high time our generation refuse to let ignorance kill us when we can be learned and schooled anywhere and anytime.
Even in the comfort of our homes, we can know whatever we which to know as long as we are willing to and our heart is ready to accept it and take action towards learning.
