May 23, 2021 KMJS and the story of 10 years old child named Reymar who force himself to plow the land and plant Radish to be sold for only 0.20$ per Kilogram

Lots of Filipinos is a fan of Kapuso Mo Jessica Soho, for the life-changing stories they featured. But this episode catches me much. Because I know I had to write something about it. I canceled my scheduled article for today just to show you another side of the story.

Because of the face of the young boy in the face of the unseen nation. Nation colonized by the poverty Dynasty, that they don't know where and how it last.

He's Story.

The boy who forces himself

Reymar is a ten years old boy who forces himself to carry a load of 10-kilogram manual plowing to cultivate the land. He is dedicated to finishing a one-hectare land field to plant radish for them to buy canned goods for their meals. And he says if they don't have money they just pour salt on rice serve as their meal.

Labanus, he's horse buddy. Labanus is the native word for Radish. It is just shown that the 25 years old horse had been working in the field for his entire life.

He was living under a broken family, in the interview seen on the Television. His mother is living differently and already has her own family. He's a grandfather who has no choice but to let the child do the job. He has eye complications where he barely sees things but also working in harvesting the crops.

His father is detained for an illegal position of firearms, but in the interview, they explained that he only uses the riffle to protect their crop from wild animals. But they suspect he's one of the terrorists.

Imagine the life he received, while other child playing video-game, watching television, and enjoying their life, another boy is in the field, struggling, and there come times losses his confidence.

The other story.

Another video shows the mark of farmers' lives as poor, doing a dirty job. But in the sad reactions, hearts, and care react if the people and government will not do changes it will stay as it is. No change at all.

In the real world, many Filipino children are in this situation. Their parent is aware of their actions but sometimes it just simple as no choice but to let the young do the job. They called it being unfortunate.

Why People Pays 0.20$ only per kilogram?

Are you curious why radish is cheap? Here's why

• Radish is not popular

I don't eat radish, but another Asian country loves radish and makes the product of it. But in the Philippines radish wasn't that popular

The advantage of Radish farmers is that it doesn't require high maintenance and it could be planted on acidic soil.

• Their location

They have been living in a remote area, this must be the government subsidy, they need to create a road for the harvest to move from market to table.

Local farmers sold their harvested crops at a cheap price to the traders because of the monopoly market they don't have any choice but to sell their produce.

• Lack of Knowledge

If they don't know how to read and write, chances are they just bargaining their produce. They have been tricked by the traders and suppliers.

It's the reality educated person makes advantage of not readers to gain more profit.

My Story

I am an Agriculturist, proud farmer, and my advocacy is not only to help farmers but let the world see the real thing happening inside the farm and outside the market.

In the real story, we can't change the poverty assigned to them. Not this article or any of my posts will change. But you readers and your family could have a big part in the change.

Don't trick them, if you were living a good life, don't bargain their produce, don't ignore them because they are local. In short help the farmers by buying their local products. That's the start of changes.

We don't have any chance to be rich in this world, because we only want is to have a meal at least 3 times a day.

Why other child is too much lucky that they don't have to work hard, they have their mother and father and even they are the ones who scolding their parents. If I were them, I am the happiest kid in their world.
