A controversial topic sprung up after my course mate(Affiliate Pharmacist) shared a testimony of how she was healed instantly of an infection without administration of drugs.
Below was her (Rx Ivy) testimony
Hello everyone ,I HAVE A TESTIMONY
I have not been sick for over 5 years (since 2014) . Recently I had a rash behind my neck,it turned to an irritating fungal infection that released pus.I laid my hands on it and told it to dry up IN THE NAME OF JESUS. The infection has dried up. THE NAME CAN TAKE CARE OF YOU TOO . JUST PRAY AND BELIEVE IN THE NAME ALWAYS. Also study God's word to know the resources available for you to live a fulfilled life. NO SITUATION IS TOO BIG FOR THE WORD OF GOD.
After she shared her BIG testimony, my fellow course mates began to react, which lead to a controversy.
Because we are Pharmacists what the world expects from us, is to preach about good drug use and not against it.
Here were the responses laid out by my Colleagues and Rx Ivy's replies.
Rx Jago -Dear take your medications ....fungal infections always have relapse.

Rx James - Heaven helps those who helps themselves.
(Rx. Ivy- You don't need God if you can help yourself)
(Rx Lesley- Good testimony,but you're a future pharmacist that will be dispensing anti-fungals for patients to get healed instead of dispensing only prayers for healing,that's why God blessed humans with the knowledge of science.
(Rx Ivy-You don't know if I would practice pharmacy in the future. Truly these drugs also existed in the days of JESUS but he didn't use them to heal people. Read Matthew,mark , Luke. You would learn more.)
Rx. Juu- That was how a pastor's wife died during childbirth cos she refused to receive blood transfusion...saying God will heal her...
Now apart from those responses above there were others that backed up Rx. Ivy with various scriptures from their Bible. But it still couldn't put an end to the whole controversial topic.
Which side am i on....
My dear, God heals but you have to play your own part. When sick seek for medical attention and at the same time commit you life to God, ask him for divine healing. He uses those medications as a point of contact to your health.
Imagine if Symptomatic Patients of Covid -19 just sat there, praying to God, without going to the hospital for medical attention.
Imagine there was no hospitals during this pandemic, instead we had churches. Imagine what would be our case.
Amongst all the responses from my colleagues, the last response put an end to the argument. Response from Rx. Alex
Rx. Alex-
Supernatural healing is scriptural and it is a reality.
But taking medication does not also mean you don't have faith.
The point is that just make sure your trust is in God and put your confidence in His power. And when you take medication it does not change the reality that you believe in God's power.
Then there are diseases that defiles medical science and only the power of God can handle such cases. And I believe we all agree with this.
For Rx. Ivy's testimony I believe that the power of God can do that. And I encourage you to continue in faith and enjoy more of God's power working.
Then for those who believe you have to take medication. It doesn't negate that you don't believe in God. Just take your medication trusting in God's power that you will be healed.
Finally there is no where in the Bible that negates taking medication or seeking medical help. If medication or medical help is necessary please employ it while still trusting in God's power to heal.
As for me I take blood tonic and preventive malarial drug. This does not negate my faith. I believe in supernatural healing.
Finally lets beware of what we preach, Bible even says, In all your getting, get wisdom. Wisdom is the most important thing.
