Self esteem defines how much we love and appreciate our being. Its not enough to exist in this world,we all need to live our lives to fully utilize God's given talent and purpose in us.
A lot happens to each individual while growing up, during the adolescent age. It plays a major role in building self esteem. So many environmental,social and physical factors affect the attitude one channels towards life.
You don't expect a child who grew up in a broken home to measure up with that other kid who grew up in loving environment, where both parents were always there to cater for him.
As much as this has an effect on self esteem, doesn't mean self esteem can't be worked on. A lot of people who have very low self esteem ,pass through challenging pressures at home,workplace, eatery because they can't fully express themselves.
High level of esteem only starts by building your self love to the highest level. Appreciate your being,where you are,who you are, what you do and where you come from. See yourself differently,there is something unique about you which no one else has. There are so many talents and skills you possess and you need to be thankful for them. Once you appreciate yourself everyday, that's you stepping out of your comfort zone.
Read books written by notable writers, on self esteem and how to step out into the crowd. Practice all you read, because practice makes perfect.
Smile more, smiling does not only keep you healthy, it also boosts ones level of self esteem. It's an attraction signature, that keeps new friends coming.
Try out new things, join a golf club,go sporting, join a poetry class, learn more skills, improve on the skills acquired, visit new friends and lots more.
In summary you're not alone in this, so never feel off about it. Once you set your mind to it, and work on it, your level of confidence will be 100% boosted.
