How to make egg rolls (Home made)

You can never go wrong with egg rolls. The can serve as snacks, lunch food for kids and adult. They are very nutritious and high in protein. Taken with a glass of juice, a cup of milk or a cup of tea.

Ingredients

Flour (2 cups)

Nutmeg( 1 tablespoon)

Milk flavor ( 2 tablespoon)

Butter ( 1 satchet)

Sugar cranulated( 1 cup)

Yeast (2 teaspoons)

A glass of water

Groundnut oil( 1 bottle)

Eggs

Procedure

  1. Pour a glass of water into the bowl, put two tablespoons of yeast and two tablespoon of sugar. Allow to stay for 30minutes, with the yeast risen.

  2. Mix the two cups of flour, one tablespoon of nutmeg and the milk flavour.

  3. Take a lumpful of the butter and add into the powdered mixture, pour in clean water while steering. Mix thoroughly to avoid lumps.

  4. Pour the yeast mixture which has already risen . Continue to stir till a paste is formed.

  5. Boil your eggs for 20 minutes.

  6. Unshell the eggs and allow to cool .

  7. With clean hands take a lumpful of the paste , use both hands to wrap round the egg.

  8. This procedure is repeated till a smooth round mass is formed.

  9. Set up your cooking gas, place the frying pan and add the groundnut oil , allow to steam for some minutes.

  10. Add sequentially all the round mass produced. Stir and allow to get cooked. Once it looks brown like in the above picture. Use your cooking spoon to bring them out of the pan, into a stainless seive.

  11. Allow to drain oil and cool.

  12. It is read to be served with chilled drinks or milk.
