*📖THE POWER OF THE GOSPEL*

👉(Reading: Romans 1:16-20)

📜For I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew first and also to the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith for faith *Romans 1:16-17 (ESV)*

📋The power of the gospel in changing people cannot be underestimated. Throughout Christian history, we have heard of wicked people converted by the gospel into very useful human beings. Paul himself was a witness to the power of the gospel in changing sinners into worshippers of the living God. The gospel is the good news that Jesus paid for the sins of humanity, and that, all who believe in him receive forgiveness of sins and are saved. This good news sounds simplistic to many who are unable to accept the fact that, its potency can change sinners into righteous people. In this scientific and technological world, many find the message of the gospel absurd. Psychologists believe that human beings can get better when they are told to believe in themselves. They therefore, think that, to tell people that they are sinners rather aids in producing guilt in them. Sin, therefore, is a mirage. This belief renders the gospel somewhat useless. But Paul said he is not ashamed of the gospel because it’s the power God for salvation to everyone who believes, and in it, the righteousness of God is revealed. Have you encountered this power? Surrender to Jesus now! His power will change you.
