The power of the mouth can destroy family, friendship, church, job, hope and reputation and can also damage the government and can lead to war.
The power of the tongue also gives peace and harmony to the people if it is used in a good way. This is how powerful our words come from our mouths.
It is written in Proverbs 15:4
“A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger."
We can compare our tongue or mouth to a knife, we have options on how to use it. We can use it to hurt or kill or to use it to save lives. Sometimes we do not realize how we are communicating with others, with our family members and with our children.
Sometimes we can get angry if our children are naughty and disobedient but we should also be careful that we are careful with our words to them. They say "The power of words" we can not say them words like lazy, stupid, worthless and so on because they can be true.
I am sure no good parent will give curses to their children. It is written in Matthew 7:9-10 "Who among you can give a stone to his son if he asks for bread? If he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent?"
Luke 11:11-12 reads as well: "Which father is there among you who, if his son asks for a fish, will instead of a fish give him a serpent instead of a fish?" , will he give him a scorpion?"
Here are some examples of things we say to ourselves that we think may not be harmful but we do not know that it brings a curse on ourselves such as the words I am poor, I am poor, I am sick and I will not recover, I will fail, I will have no hope, I will lose my job and many other negatives we can tell ourselves or other people.
By saying these words we claim in our lives the decision and expression of self-destruction. Just as you are sick, do not say you are sick but say you are healed in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:17 reads, "After that, the seventy returned with joy. They said," Lord, even the demons follow us through your name. "
John 14: 13-14 further states, "Whatsoever you shall ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. And if ye shall ask any thing in my name, I will do it."
These texts clearly say that there is power in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ so do not hesitate to contradict the negative words or curses that are said against you.
Remember words are like seeds that can bear good or bad harvest in your life. What does God want coming out of our mouths?
It is written in Ephesians 4:29 "Let no corrupt communication proceed out of your mouth, but that which is good to the use of edifying, that it may minister grace unto the hearers."
It is written also in Proverbs 18:21 "The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly."
Let us be careful in our speech whenever we want to speak negatively, let us stop. Let us ask God to change our heart and change our mind. Let us fix my mouth to say the blessings of God in our lives.
Here is an example of positve words we can claim in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ: "I am a child of God by the stripes of Jesus, I am healed." My family will be saved in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. I have God's favor in my life and some other positive words we can clqim in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
It does not mean that we should brag and say that we are rich even if we are not. Because others will tell a lie compared to being positive and claiming God's blessing.
The word has power, it is seeds that produce good or bad harvest. Depending on what we say to our neighbor or myself. Do not let your mouth interfere with your blessing or with the peeling of another person.
It is written in Proverbs 13: 3 "He that is slow to wrath is of great understanding: but he that is hasty of spirit exalteth folly."
Wait, is there a chance written in the bible about the curse of the people and it happened? We read a lot in the bible about the power of the word.
Just for example when he saw his father Noah naked he had a curse here. It is written in Genesis 9: 22-25 "Now Ham, the father of Canaan, came into the tent, and saw, and behold, his father was naked
and he came out, and told his two brethren. Shem and Japheth took a garment. and they laid them on their shoulders, and went backward to the tent to cover their father."
They did not look back because they did not want to see their father's nakedness. When Noah awoke from his drunkenness and found out what his youngest son had done, he said, "Cursed be Canaan. You will suffer and be a slave to your brothers." and if we read the events that follow in the bible we will see that the Israelites were not treated well the Cananeo, they were considered less.
Let us always remember that just as we guard our minds and so that evil thoughts do not enter, we must also be aware of what comes out of our mouths.
We read in James 1:26 "If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain."
Are we one of these defined texts? Will we just let bad words continue to come out of our mouths? You still decide friends. I hope you learn something on my article. Thank you for reading!
I agree with this post..
