There is something positive behind the Pandemic

Not all is bad news, since the pandemic has brought us certain circumstances that we could define as beneficial.

Human beings have to see the positive in everything, not only where there is bad, because even there, there is something good to learn or modify.

The pandemic is the result of disrespect for the environment, there is no doubt, and we have already seen the consequences of abusing it.

But also, we draw these conclusions after having observed positive changes in the human race and on the planet.

Have you seen animals walking the streets of populous cities? That is a demonstration that the planet has been cleaning up or at least, has received less garbage these days.

That the atmosphere is clearer after the quarantine, we have all seen that too; but there is more, much more.

Few infectious diseases

Due to the prevention that has become global, the possibilities of contaminating ourselves with saliva and body fluids of others is more difficult, so pathologies that are transmitted by this contact have decreased in high percentages.

Digestive pathologies such as gastroenteritis, hepatitis A and B; whooping cough, tuberculosis and polio, are just a few that have decreased up to 70%.

Care with food

Before, shopping in supermarkets or stores was something almost without conscience; now, we choose carefully; we wash the food or the purchases when we get home, and we have a greater hygiene in the dishes we prepare.

We eat differently

We are doing this on the basis of choosing foods that give us a large amount of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants, in order to increase our defenses.

We hope that this is a rule that we can continue to follow, since this way we eliminate the risks of cardiovascular diseases and overweight.

We promote respect

Living spaces have become temples where care and cleanliness is paramount; in fact, we now invite fewer people and if we do, we use open spaces and not the interiors of homes.

We also respect the space between people; something that is seen in the greeting that now is not of rubbing, only of signals such as head bows, and of course, we do not get so close.

We take care of the environment

Some people, many of us would say, think twice before throwing garbage in the streets and parks; we know that we are exposing the environment to mutations and changes due to pollution; and we do not want another pandemic so close.

We respect the animal environment

It seems that the traffic of wild or exotic animals has already decreased enough so that we can say that we have learned to respect the environment of animals that have little to do with humans, let alone eat them...

Health campaigns that work

We have proven that health and disease prevention campaigns do work, so they should be carried out more frequently with the certainty that people will understand and follow up on the suggestions made by the health agencies.

Maybe others are slipping through the cracks

Perhaps other acquired benefits are escaping me, such as the value we now give to family activities and spending more time together as a nucleus; but what is certain is that in everything, there are positive aspects; in everything, even in world pandemics; and we must make the effort to recognize them.

Asi es, debemos recordar que no todas son malas noticias. El mundo esta cambiando y el planeta respira un poco mejor.

Welcome dear Erigo, certainly, not everything is bad in this pandemic, despite so many bad news that we read daily, we can also see advantages to this happening in the world, in the hygienic part as well mentioned, now we are more aware of the terrible consequences of not washing our hands frequently, not disinfecting every product we buy in the street, among other things. However in Virtual Variety we want to add to such a good publication, that we see a great change in technology, we see that it is possible to continue learning from home, we do not need to be always in a classroom to learn. Undoubtedly there are many lessons we learned from Covid-19, and even if a long time passes, we will not forget these years, where the world was paralyzed, and that "invisible" enemy made us understand how fragile we are and the bad habits we had, greetings, happy afternoon.

Excellent thoughts on the bright side of adverse circumstances. The health statistics that he exposes are encouraging in terms of the reduction of other diseases due to the practice of prophylactic and hygiene measures. Of course, we all want the viral threat to end and part of the lost routine to return, I just hope that good habits are preserved.
