I thought I could

My life was a living nightmare

Yes it was

I lived off others and didn't care

Yes I was

I thought I could,I thought they would

I turned back and took a look

No,this I not how I wanna look

I changed from bad to good

I thought I could,I thought they would change

But as I did

They started drifting away

They moved bit by bit

Out of the way

I thought I could change them for good

But too bad they won't
