The alarming situation floating around the country, regarding the proliferation of text scam and fraud through deceiving and nonsense text messages, their schemes are already unto next level, the trend to include our personal details, it's alarming how scammers now our personal details include on their short message, its entirely new breach of text scams! These scams have affected everyone, I asked all my friends and workmates about the said issue and no one is exempted from the scheme they made today. This kind of matter is very sensitive, those SIM cards company needs to keep our details on private

Text scam alert!!!!!!!

English translation: Maria macasa dumatong, 09952249080, as long as she doesn't pay her dept, I will sympathize you with her dept, WHEN YOU FINISH DIVIDING THE MONEY YOU WILL ESCAPE, you cant run but you can't hide, She made you as a guarantor, I have a picture with your name on it, I'm sorry to say but I will kill all of you one by one.

I don't understand why there are tons of text scams I receive every day, the attached photo above is very sensitive, the message is threatening my life, very alarming and it needs to be stopped in no time!

English translation: Download and you will get free 670 pesos money!

There are messages that give us false details, giving us free money but we need to download first the link they gave, this text scam should be stopped, and the government needs to put action to these against this kind of aggression of cybercrimes and fake news that tear away the fabric of democracy, thinking every day without the safety from the measures, makes us vulnerable to trickery and scams, that take away our personal details, passwords of our accounts, most especially our e-wallets, it cause anxiety, thinking one day we might be the victim.

I became more aware of these text scams, they already include my name on their message which means those messages are meant for me, maybe they get all my details for the games I downloaded randomly that I see in ads.

Lesson learned: Don't click ads, links that randomly tops up on your screen it may be harmful to your phone or something bad in return for just clicking the simple link on the screen

Im glad the government are aware and slowly making their move to stop this scam

House approves SIM card registration bill on 2nd reading

The House of Representatives on Wednesday approved on second reading a measure requiring the registration of all postpaid and prepaid mobile phone subscriber identity module (SIM) cards which is aimed at preventing the proliferation of mobile phone scams, data breaches, and assisting law enforcement agencies in resolving crimes involving the use of mobile phone units.

It means every sim card we buy and acquire, needs personal details before activating, so that every sim card owner can be easily traced, scammers making advance steps will now be stumped by the more details needed by the Simcard to activate.

In my country, you register your SIM with your national ID and all your personal information. But still scammers still exist. The best way to avoid them I to ignore third messages, report them and stop clicking on random links

That's how alarming the proliferation of this kind of scams, they know our name, to overthrow their scheme every number they use, we can report it to the national privacy commission so that they can deactivate the sim card number

The bill that passed on your place is already implemented in India for more than 10 years, still there are cases like that and it totally falls on the Cyber Crime this only means they are not doing their job actively because with this bill they can easily track the person.
