How hard for a small country hit by a Typhoon ranging 15 times a year
How hard is it for our fellow countrymen to experience catastrophic events almost every month, every month there is a new typhoon with a different name by the government alphabetically, and it resets every year that starts from letter A, now we are experiencing the raging brute strength, and power of typhoon Paeng, Paeng is the 16th of the alphabet which means its the 16th typhoon since the start of the year 2022, the Philippines is infamous and very well known in terms of the typhoon, Philipines is top two most hit by typhoon every year peaking from May to November, next to china who comes first, it's hard for a small country to cope these unfortunate events, especially the damage, houses are ruined, life been taken, kids and animals are the most victims in every typhoon especially floods because they are helpless they can't save their own :(

One of the scariest typhoons I experience
Bagyong Sendong
Bagyong Sendong is one of the scariest typhoons that hit our city, Cagayan de Oro, I still remember back then, December 16, 2011, I'm in second-grade level at that time, Highschool student, I can't forget as it is our Christmas party the day before the incident. December 15 we are so happy enjoying the Christmas vibe with my classmates celebrating our Christmas party at school, we are happily dancing, singing, and playing with prizes given by our school adviser, I remember its already afternoon I go home early as I see the sky slowly turning dark, the rain is not that strong , apparently, the rain in our city is just minimal, the trees and buildings can cope the wind strength, but little do we know that the mountain side connected our river rain strong enough to raise the water at dawn, no one expected that, the river water level raise so high as high as coconut trees, it happened at dawn everyone is asleep, people are defenseless waking up floating, its dark, no electricity, people end up questionable and confuse, many people died, towns washed up by the strong wind.

No one expected that even the local government did not know what to do, we are attacked by nature at our most vulnerable time, and all they could do is help those lucky people who grabbed tree branches and stayed on the tree for safety, it ends up killing 1472 lives, dead body lying everywhere, it's one of the saddest Christmas we had. celebrated.

while in our place we are also near a mountain-connected river but our river is delayed in terms of raising the water level, in our place, the river raise early in the morning, and many people shouting outside, shouting the river is raising steadfastly, people are shouting to alert everyone, to wake up everyone, we are lucky everyone is alert and we are lucky the water level rise in the morning where everything is clear and people are already awake, I remember I shouted my mother to save all the electric devices and appliances up to the second floor, I and my stepfather easily lifted Refridgerator way up to the second floor while my mother saved all the dogs first and all the important documents., that's what we call the adrenaline rush, we had all our reserved strengths.

Back to the present typhoon, Paeng struck Mindanao so hard that even the gymnasium as people's evacuation site, being reached by the flood, I was hoping everyone was fine and everything will be back to normal but sad to say I hear bad things in news today, as of now there are 45 unfortunate lives being taken by the rage of this unwanted typhoon.
It's so hard to experience all these catastrophic event for a small country but the most important thing is UNITY no matter how hard, no matter how difficult the situation people learn to help each other guide each other even it put our lives indanger, thats the nature human has, we may be irresponsible in taking care of nature that it puts to the test where nature back fires for all our bad doings , we are still humans who help each other to continue living for another day :)
All photos are not mine, as the places hit by the typhoon are far from our place, all photos are credited to the respectful owner, Thank you
I absolutely agree with unity when it comes to disasters and calamities. We should think about others as well and not just ourselves. It's traumatizing to experience catastrophic events brought about by natural phenomenon. We can't help but worry every time we experience a storm. Let us unite and continually pray for each other.
