Our health as a criteria for happiness.

In search and pursuit of happiness in our everyday life activities, we do many things. We travel a lot to relax and learn new scopes of life such as new technologies, cultures and beliefs. We tend to follow our passion to finally acquire satisfaction in our minds. We meet new friends, go on outings and enjoy being around them. We eat delicious food to quench hunger and in order to feel satisfied.

We are always looking for ways to get happy. Now, I want us all to meditate and think about this one thing, if we aren't in a good health condition, can we be able to search and enjoy anything? (Happiness) particularly.

Let's take a wounded or sick person on a sick bed as an example. Whatever is offered to he or she, be it a delicious meal or a travel ticket to his or her dream country, will he or she be able to enjoy that offer? Absolutely "NO".

Then, what is that one thing that when being possessed by us, makes us feel happy? We are all aware that happiness is inside our body not outside. So, It has definitely made friends with one thing inside us which is our sound health. Now, let us observe the relationship between health and happiness.....

If we do exercise, do we feel happy?

If we go on a walk, then again, do we feel the presence of joy with a smile on our faces?

Do we feel relaxed and very light if we evacuate our beds properly in the morning?

If we eat fruits in the morning, does our body feel light just like a feather?

If the answer to all the above questions is "YES", then this directly means that if we do healthy things, those things that are in favour of our body system, we feel relaxed, happy, and very satisfied.

So, don't endeavor to find happiness elsewhere. Instead, try to work on yourself. Take proper care of your body and mind today, I'm sure you will never regret that, you will certainly feel happy at all time.

Chase health today and happiness will follow you.

Below are suggestions for the acquisition of good health;

  • Regulation of exercise

  • Consuming healthy foods

  • Sit in silence at least ten (10) minutes daily

  • Message or reach out to your loved ones everyday.

Note: Whatever emotions we feel, that's as a result of the chemicals released in our body. If we are healthy, the general populace of our body will be fine too which in turn will make us feel balanced. So, we tend to feel our genuine emotions without interruption.

Health is wealth. I remember last month when I was sick during my exam. Nothing else made sense to me than to be healed. I could not even read.
