Today, I woke up to another news of a patient who was being misdiagnosed leading to her demise. However, I was more terrified when a good friend of mine gave me the news.
Inasmuch as we aren't in normal times, it equally calls for a careful reflection of our work ethics. We need to be EXTRA careful. Even as we are working, others are waiting to act on our wrongdoings. Let's all be on the lookout. Let it not be said that your license is revoked due to avoidable mistakes committed.
Don't you think it's about time we reflected on our practice as healthcare professionals? What are we doing wrongly which is causing insecurity in our healthcare system? What needs to be done?
