To be a Man… A man can stay up till 2:00 a.m., wake up by 6:00 a.m., be in debt, broke, alone, and still have faith that one day everything will work out. It’s called being a man not because it’s noble, but because sometimes, you simply have no other choice. Sometimes, being a man in this generation is like being a phone with 3% battery, 12 apps running, and still pretending to be okay because “the charger is coming even if you are miles away.” Every day, you’re expected to perform miracles with minimal resources provide, protect, and persevere even when your own tank is running on fumes. You’ll smile in group photos knowing your M-PESA balance looks like a bad joke. You’ll encourage your friends to “trust the process” when you, yourself, are wondering if the process even knows your existence. You’ll walk around with confidence so polished it could win awards, while inside, you’re budgeting coins like a United Nations conference. We men are taught early that life won’t ask how we feel, only what you have done. So you learn to swallow your storms, laugh in pain, and plan your comeback like a movie script. You learn that sometimes, hope isn’t a soft feeling it’s a decision you renew every morning when you still get up and go again, despite every reason not to. Yes, it’s tough. You’ll lose friends who don’t understand your silence, lovers who think you’ve changed, and opportunities that slipped away because you were busy surviving. You’ll question your worth, your timing, and sometimes even your existence. But in the same breath, you’ll discover grit, endurance, and a quiet type of bravery that only those who’ve faced darkness can understand. And please, let’s not forget the comedy of it all because if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. Like that moment when you promise yourself, “from next month I’m saving,” but next month shows up wearing rent, bills, and responsibilities like cologne and you can't avoid them. Still, through it all, there’s something deeply powerful about the resilience of men who keep showing up. The ones who may not have it all together, but still hold it together. Who believe in their comeback story, even when the current chapter looks like a plot twist from a bad series. So to every man reading this, KEEP GOING STRONG. You’re not lazy, you’re just tired. You’re not lost, you’re evolving. You’re not behind, you’re on your own path, and maybe life is just building your patience muscles for a bigger blessing. One day, you’ll look back and realize that what broke you, built you. That those long nights and lonely mornings were molding your strength, character, and peace. Until then keep the faith, keep the humor, and most importantly, keep showing up. Because even when the world doesn’t see it, there’s quiet greatness in just not giving up. And if no one’s told you lately, you’re doing okay, bro. Maybe not great, but definitely okay. And for now, that’s enough. 💯

How Impacful Are Your Words? HOW IMPACTFUL ARE YOUR WORDS? Part 1 I remember having this topic on top of my writing list about a week ago. As I gathered momentum to pen down my thoughts, I rather came to a halt after a couple of minutes. Being in a stew, I began to wonder if everyone was not aware his or her words are so powerful since we are created in the image and likeness of God who brought the world into existence with his words. But if they were aware their words are so powerful, I'm certain the world will be devoid of people with depression, low self esteem, suicidal thoughts and everything the negatives could birth. Did I go back to writing? I couldn't see the wood for the trees with these running through my mind. Fast forward, I went for shopping few days ago. I walked into a bookstore, wanting to relish my appetite for African novels, preferably Chimamanda Ngozie Adichie's classics. I felt more disappointed after walking to and fro the novels section for minutes , only to find none as interesting as Chimamanda's. Then ,I felt the urge to take a quick glance at the Chrsitian books on my left. I got awestruck when I saw Sharon Jaynes' The Power of a Woman's Words lying on top the shelf. "Now this!" I said to myself, grinning like a chesire cat. I knew God was communicating. He wants me to pen down my thoughts on the power of our words. Ever since i purchased that book, I've been so blessed by it. Now, here's my big question: *HOW IMPACTFUL ARE YOUR WORDS* ? Watch out for part Tomorrow God willing ☺

Come Out of Your Comfort Zone I once dwelled in my comfort zone and felt stagnant in the seemingly densed world. I peeped through my window of limited possibilities and realised the 5% who basked in the light of their new world. Suddenly I felt the pins and needles of my comfort zone and a voice so clear which echoed loudly in my ears saying,"You aren't needed here!" The pains of the pricks hurt my entire being till I made up my mind to take the extra mile to the land with unlimited possibilities. Guess what? I found me. I found life. I found growth. Dear You, you are worth more than to remain stagnant in your comfort zone. Move!

Unearth Your Potential Get up... Few weeks ago, I connected with a friend. He narrated how he had to quit making use of his passion due to the many struggles he had to endure. I smiled.😊 This was an experience I had gone through before and still learning from similar struggles. It's so easy to come to a standstill after having series of failures. It's so easy to say, "Well, I've tried severally but no better results have yielded. Therefore, quitting is the best option." It's so easy to be frustrated about how paralyzed we are with our failures. So many of us have buried our dreams, zeal, passions and visions and are not enthusiastic about getting back up. So many of us have forgotten our WHYs- the driving force to unearthing our passion. 🗣Attention please! Even Jesus Christ rose from the dead in 3 days! it's about time you resurrected too. Getting up with a strong mindset to confront our failures is essential to our growth and we should persevere regardless. Every day offers us a new beginning. An opportunity to be better than our yesterday and a chance to confront our failures relentlessly. So far as there is breath in us signifies the unlimited possibilities ahead of us by the grace of God. Les Brown asserts, "The graveyard is the richest place on earth because it is here that you will find all the hopes and dreams that were never fulfilled, the books that were never written, the songs that were never sung, the inventions that were never shared, the cures that were never discovered, all because someone was TOO AFRAID to take that first step, keep with the problem, or be determined to carry out their dream." The world has never had enough of us. It's still waiting for us to take that bold step to awaken that passion within. Until I unearth what's within me, I'm not giving up. That should fuel you too.❤🥰 Get up strong 💪... ☺

The Health I Once Despised My prostate health journey My name is Kendolf Anid and this is my story. I come from a family where living sedentary lifestyles meant good living. In our quest to feel accepted in the society, my family lived in ways that was proof of a wealthy living. Growing up, I can recount the numerous parties held at home with my family and friends. Parties with the abundance of alcoholic beverages, fries, boxes of pizza and spicy barbecues. As a young man at the time, I thought it was cool having a father who allowed my friends and I smoke during parties. We lived life to the fullest and I regret ever not taking critical care of my health while growing up. My elder brother and I continued the tradition in our marriages and little did we know we were in for surprises. Three years ago, my father was diagnosed of advanced prostate cancer. This meant that the cancer had spread to other parts of the body including his bones. I didn't mind so much because I knew old age played a major role in the turn out of his condition. However, I became so alarmed when my older brother passed on a year and six months after our father's demise due to advanced prostate cancer. I was terrified. Could it be that prostate cancer was in my family? Could it be that I would soon die with the same condition as my brother and father? I needed answers to my questions so badly. I looked at my first born son running in the garden with his football and tears filled my eyes. I wanted to see my child grow. I wanted to see my grandchildren. I certainly wasn't ready to die from prostate cancer. With that being said, I decided to visit my doctor the following day for a routine check of my prostate. Series of tests were rendered and I learnt about my high risk of developing prostate cancer. I remember cold chills broke down my spine after reading my doctors lips, "Ken, you are at high risk of developing prostate cancer. The same condition that killed your father and brother. You've got to be careful." At that point, I was willing to let go of all my possessions for the sake of my health. I was willing to go all out to save my prostate from cancer. "I'm glad you're ready to make some adjustments to your health. These ways can help you reduce your risk of prostate cancer. Remember that based on your family history of prostate cancer and the sedentary lifestyle you've lived for years, you stand a high chance of dying from prostate cancer.", The doctor added. I felt a pinch of hope at last. There was a way to reduce my risk and I was willing to follow through and through. Looking back, I'm happy I made those commitments towards my health. It's been three years since my decision to stay healthy. I have a healthy weight and I no longer live a sedentary lifestyle. What healthy ways did the doctor recommend? Stay tuned! #This is purely fiction but with the intention of creating awareness of prostate cancer. Kindly stay tuned for healthy ways of protecting your prostate from cancer. With love, AbbieEducates 🥰❤

Be Extra Careful Today, I woke up to another news of a patient who was being misdiagnosed leading to her demise. However, I was more terrified when a good friend of mine gave me the news. Inasmuch as we aren't in normal times, it equally calls for a careful reflection of our work ethics. We need to be EXTRA careful. Even as we are working, others are waiting to act on our wrongdoings. Let's all be on the lookout. Let it not be said that your license is revoked due to avoidable mistakes committed. Don't you think it's about time we reflected on our practice as healthcare professionals? What are we doing wrongly which is causing insecurity in our healthcare system? What needs to be done? #LetOurLoveandPassionForpreservinglivesLead #WearetheBrainandheartofHealthcaredelivery #ItsTimeForRealChange #PeopleArewatching

Be Yourself Life is like an iceberg. There's more to life than we can think of. But most of us focus our lens superficially without taking into consideration what lies beyond life's tip of the iceberg. Beneath it is ETERNITY. A place you and I must be conscious about. Do you know eternity presents 2 great choices? But to ENJOY eternity is to allow the thoughts of it shape your deeds while you bask in the tip of life's iceberg.

A Letter From E.Coli ☺ On Behalf of the Many Bacteria Causing UTI (urinary Tract Infection) To whom it may concern. On behalf of the many bacteria found in Rectum, I, the E. Coli, write to you fuming with anger. Asking how you are faring in this period of Covid'19 pandemic would doubtlessly aggravate what I feel towards you this morning. On this note, permit me to go straight to the point. Few days ago, as my family and I had breakfast in my humble base, we were drifted unceremoniously to a foreign land, the Urinary system. Like rapture, we had no time to prepare or worse still, plead to God to forgive us of the many sins we had committed. Several hours in captivity, my family expected me to wear my lens of bravity to find some food in this foreign territory in order to satisfy their hungry stomachs. After all, I always portrayed myself as a responsible father- I couldn't complain. Surprisingly, just when I thought about approaching the Urethra, I met some of my fellow men. Eiiii! They had the same facial expressions as mine: bewildered and resentful. I thanked God at least this rapture catered for my family members. What about that young handsome bacterium who had cried his eyes out for being taken away just went he wanted to enjoy the fruits of his labour? He was taken on the very day he got hitched and you can imagine the pain for having left your beloved behind. For days, my fellow bacteria resorted to monitoring the inhabitants of the Urinary system of their every move. They came to a conclusion that, the Urinary system was a third class country. A country which wasn't fully equipped with strong immune system and which couldn't fight its invaders like us. As a result, the inhabitants of the land were prone to a lot of attacks. To survive in this foreign land meant invading and destroying everything they had taken years to build. Well, their system of governance was so weak thus, paving a smooth way for us to devour. Counting the many grey strands of hair on my head and skin, I was then chosen as their leader. This attribute of mine portrayed the many barrels of wisdom I had accumulated over the years. Now, a consensus had to be reached whether to invade the Urinary system or not. Well, I ecstatically agreed- perhaps, it was time I laid down my title as a church president to join the fight. After all, God is always ever forgiving. He understands survival is for the fittest. One instinctive thing I observed was the fact that in no time, many of my kind had migrated from Rectum. Weren't they proud to be a citizen? Or were they also drifted unawares? When briefed by their misfortune, I noticed majority shared in my experience such as women not properly observing good Anal hygiene practices, thus, causing a mayhem in the urinary system as we are transferred unknowingly from the Anal Region to the junction of the Urinary system. We observed with great disdain how some women wiped from back to front each time they visited the washroom. Could it be that they had forgotten to do otherwise? Who are I to question God's sophisticated design of the females' urinary system? Well, I guess more education concerning proper anal hygiene practices need to be given in this area of concern. The night of doom, as we called, was here. We were fully armored to attack the Bladder. We knew planning guaranteed about 90 percent of our success, therefore, a lot went into planning. After the plan had taken its shape, I requested to excuse myself for fresh air and to let my brain vividly picture our plan for the night. I spotted two female bacteria of the Urinary System just few meters away from our camp, They had stood with arms akimbo and gestured in ways that revealed the act of gossiping. They probably didn't notice we had camped in their territory. I camouflaged just so to satisfy my level of curiosity and to be sure they weren't spying on us. Eavesdropping on their conversation, these females complained bitterly to each other how their city's health had been deteriorated, obviously blaming the leaders at the House of Kidneys for not instilling proper measures to curb the situation at hand such as improving the Urinary system's immunity to terrorists and enhancing security. Amidst tears, they recounted how their city had to compromise their standards because of your bad hygienic practices. I heard them talk about women who used douches and other feminine hygiene products to ensure vuvular and vaginal hygiene. Little did you know that these substances were a threat to the Urinary system. This must stop, please! Since the Bladder is a constant supplier of urine to the Urethra as a way of ensuring proper care of the bladder, some women and men chose to hold in their urine for a longer period of time and this irritated the inhabitants of the abode. Moveover, menopausal women and pregnant women were not spared either. Due to their lowered immune system, women in these categories were prone to infections of the urinary system. I felt so sad hearing pregnant women were particularly at risk of UTIs. This is because as the baby grows, it sits on the bladder making it so difficult for the bladder to as usual, perform its periodic mop up of urine in their territory. By this time, i was so engrossed in listening that I didn't notice one of my fellow bacteria had come around lurking in the shadows too. He had fully dressed and ready to take action but my appetite to know more influenced my decision not to return to the camp. I guessed there was more to the ranting these females spewed which I greatly relied on to satisfy my curiosity. They continued to expose how some men also contracted infections from women during unprotected sexual activities. Although men naturally have long urethras which prevented them from easily contracting UTIs, unprotected sexual activity involving women with vaginal infection easily crippled men, as a result, making them fall prey to the such gruesome infections. In addition, people with health conditions which directly attacked the immune system including conditions which required the wearing of urinary catheters were also victims of UTIs. At this moment, trying to conceal my emotions was quite impossible. I finally revealed myself from the shadows and approached them with the aim of sharing my ordeal. They showed great empathy and agreed to help my team get to their City. In collaboration with these frustrated damsels of the Urinary system, we successfully navigated our way through to the Bladder. Indeed, the night we anticipated for days was now made manifest and we couldn't afford taking chances. With the many lives that had been taken especially due to the bad anal hygiene practices being observed by you and your fellow women, we had no option than to attack a system which had no regard to boost its immune system as a security enforcement to ward off terrorists like us. Indeed, you pushed us to the wall and we had no option than to strike. Afterall, it's not about the war, it's about striving to survive in a foreign land. In the next few days, we will get so comfortable and you will start manifesting the fruits of our labour. No, you won't experience Covid'19 symptoms instead, be prepared to experience the ever painful signs and symptoms of UTIs Devotely, E.Coli.

Be Unforgettable I was all smiles as I recalled some fond memories of my senior high school days, while reading this book. I missed school so much as I reflected on my school's anthem and motto dubbed, "Obra Nye Woara Abo", meaning, life is what you make it. I remember the joy on our faces as we sang our anthem during special ceremonies organized by the school. I missed those moments when we came together to dance and sing with all types of God-given voices including those who never knew all the lyrics to the anthem, yet managed to creatively add their own words. However beyond the singing and dancing, I believe, was something the song tried communicating : Make your life Worthwhile; manifest yourself. Clocks tick every now and then. As usual, life goes on offering us opportunities to leave indelible marks of our lives. I couldn't agree more when I once learnt that people aren't looking for you, instead, they are looking for what you are carrying and if you don't manifest what you're carrying, the world would ignore you. I couldn't agree more. Leaving footprints on earth would require that you manifest what you're carrying. Yes! That seed of greatness within you. Are we leaving footprints for our next generation? Won't be rob off the world should we not manifest what's within us? Won't we deprive our generation and the ones behind if we don't strive to be Unforgettable? What will you be remembered for when you finally cross to the other side? How will your epitaph be inscribed? Just your name, dates of birth and death or your epitaph will have a summarized note of the remarkable footprints you left in addition? Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, which you're going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.(Ecclesiastes 9:10 NIV). Be Unforgettable! 😊❤
