It's a beautiful Saturday here, the sun is shining so bright with a clear sky. How are you enjoying the weekend at your end. Don't forget to use this free time to plan for the coming week.

As we are planning for a new week, lots of goals will be set, and we also hope that we will achieve those goals. Sometimes we share it with our roommate, or a colleague and the response you get from them is not encouraging. They know very well that those goals are achieved but the will be so serious and bold enough to tell you that you can never achieve any of those goals you've set for yourself. This could discourage you for working towards achieving those goals, you see it as impossible at that moment.

This is not a new thing that if i should ask now, almost everyone of us here will agree that they have come across this kind of situation before. Some months back, i set a goal for myself that before the end of the next month i will own an android phone, not just an android phone but a good one, Samsung was on my mind as at that time and i need $220 to get the phone. I shared it with my friends, they in turn told me that i will never achieve such goal, coupled with the fact that i needed it in a space of two months. I was discouraged at some point, and i began to think of making a change in the goal, maybe go for a cheaper phone that i could afford before the set day elapse to avoid looking like a joker.

A day after, i was on YouTube with a friends phone when YouTube suggested a video to me, it was a documentary of one of Barrack Obama's speeches, i decided to watch it since it was a 2 mins video. In the video, he said something that brought hope to me immediately, "YES WE CAN". I personalized it so fast and said to myself "Yes I Can". It is so possible that i can get the phone of my choice. I stood my grounds that even if it means i don't buy new clothes for myself that i was going to get the phone. Initially i was so afraid of failing, but after that word sank into me i promise myself not to go for the less. Today i am so happy that i was able to achieve that goal even if it wasn't at the expected time, but it finally came. If only you can see it, believe it, then it is possible.

You could imagine how you life would be if you had decided to shy away from those goals that has brought you this far. Never settle for the less, whatsoever you are dreaming, work towards achieving it, don't let people tell you how to do your own things. If you allow people to dictate every of your moves, you will never go far in life, your life will never get better. If in any way you share your dreams with people, and few of them gives negative feed backs like that dream of yours is never attainable, prove to them that you have strength within that will help you achieve those dreams.

If you know what you want, and where you are heading to, they opinions of others shouldn't weigh you down. It shouldn't make you to stop your journey halfway. Whatsoever gave you the morale to have that big dream, trust that thing. Don't be afraid of going extra mile in following your dreams. Whatsoever dream you have, be patient enough and stick to it, trust your feelings, have a positive mindset. All of these will help you to see how strong and capable you are in pursuing that dream to the very end.

Bye for now...

The truth is the fear of failing is overwhelming but the fear of not achieving our full potential is more much stronger so we have to make sure we don’t give up

"Never settle for less". Words that can power up the spirit to go further until the dream is achieved.

I don't share my dreams with people, i only tell it as a story when have finally achieved it. Peoples words can influence one to stop pursuing their goals.
