What do I want to study? It might be hard for some or most of you to believe this but the truth remains that: ***It was this year I finally realized what I truly want to study.*** Most of you would know through my previous articles that I'm a twin, my twin is a boy. Back then when I was younger, my dad made it mandatory that: Whenever my brother goes to have an haircut, I must follow him. Whenever I also visit the saloon for my hair to be made, he must follow me. And we must go to school and come back home together. Infact anytime I leave him in school, my dad lashes me with some strokes of cane. *Believe me, it was terrible, my brother always made me leave the house and leave the school late.* Anyways, due to the fact that I was still young and frail. Anytime I followed my brother to the saloon to have an haircut, I sometimes see the barber counting his money. This made me feel they were abundantly rich. Fast forward to the day my dad summoned us to deal us some questions. *My dad had asked my elder; twin brother and I, a simple question*. What do you want to be in future?. Such a great question right?. I felt highly proud of myself, I was so happy and pleased as I boldly said: **I want to be a barber.** My dad was bemused, I'm sure deep down, he would have felt my village people were following me. ***Disclaimer:*** *Not trying to say those people don't make their money, but there's a point I'm driving at.* I never knew what i really and truly wanted to study. ***I was in primary section then.*** I don't know about other countries but in my country, when a child is leaving Junior Secondary School to Senior Secondary School. S/he has to choose from these options, to either join: ***Art Class.*** ***Science Class or...*** ***Commercial Class.*** Choices are made based on what the person intends to study or be in future. For example; you can't see an aspiring medical doctor in Art Class, neither can you see a wannabe lawyer in Science Class or a soon to be accountant in any of the aforementioned. Now, I didn't join Science and Commercial classes because I don't know maths and I'm honestly not intrigued in knowing it. Maths is just not a thing of mine. In Science Class, one would study: Physics. Chemistry. Further maths Maths. Geography. Economics... Ahan, do you want to kill me!!!... The calculations are too much, I wonder why one has to further mathematics. *Well, I'm actually glad I joined Art Class though, else my regrets would have pilled up.* That was how I still had no idea even after I graduated from secondary school. Six years in primary section. Six years in secondary section. Yet I had no idea whatsoever about my future. Had I known: I left secondary school in 2017, taught as a teacher in a school; for two years. I had this weak mentality that I was too young to be in tertiary institution, I finally wrote jamb in 2019. I passed jamb, but chose University of Lagos as my first choice... of course you guessed right, I didn't gain admission into the university. My second choice was Lagos State University, I didn't even bother going for their screening especially because they don't give admission when placed as second choice. Yaba college of technology was my third choice, but I never took their exams. All hopes were placed in the basket of UNILAG. Well UNILAG threw my brother and I away. A little addition: *Even during jamb registration. My mum followed my twin and I to the jamb registration center.* *It was so bad... It was on that day, my mum and I deliberated on what I should actually go for.* *Political science was the choice, especially since I actually got a D7 in my literature that year.* Continuation. So no admission!!!... Ah!, I'll spend one more year at home!. Infact my brother and I had given up so soon, my brother was already making so much from teaching, and he boldly told my mum he isn't going to reseat for Jamb. Since UNILAG threw him away, and since that was were all our hopes were, he isn't interested in school anymore. My mum was obviously not pleased; hearing her son say this. As God would have it, she did her best and got us admitted as **"Part-time students"** into Yaba college of technology. ***But still...*** I didn't know what I actually wanted to study. My mum followed me on the first day I was to resume lectures. I can't forget that day. **Me:** Mummy, what am I studying? **My mum:** That's your class over there. **Me:** Ahan,what am I studying?, tell me, how can I just enter into a class without even knowing what it's all about. **My mum:** just go in, you'll find out later. I was utterly confused, I walked up to my elder brother and asked him, since my mum had refused to give answers. It was then my brother said: **My brother:** You're studying OTM. **Me:** Really!!, Which kind of course is this?. What does it even stand for?. **My brother:** Office Technology Management. Disappointment was written all over my face, but can I blame my mum? No!, If I knew what I wanted to study, all these won't have happened. This is 2022, and it's now I finally realized what I truly want to study. Five years, gone and I'll still have to start afresh if I truly want to fulfil purpose. ***Sighs...*** Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

The greatest gift. *A* ***gift*** *or a* ***present*** *is an item given to someone without the expectation of payment or anything in return*. Wikipedia Just like most of you, I love gifts alot. Gifts that comes as a surprise, without me expecting it; melts my heart big time. Infact gifts is just one amongst my list of love languages. People give gifts to others as a means of displaying emotions. The very obvious emotion I see here is **"love."** When you love someone, you'll give the person gifts; be it in celebration of the person's birthday, marriage, childbirth, friendship...just about anything. But we gift them all these out of love, yes love, pure love. We give gifts to people we love and care for. ***Sighs...*** Well that's not what I'm here for, having talked about all these gifts, let's now move to the main point. The greatest gift. *Are they clothes, bags, houses, chocolates, vacations, dream jobs, recharge cards, phones, money, shoes...? you name them* There's surely a gift that surpasses all these aforementioned. A gift that can't be wrapped in a box, but still yet, this gift isn't really treasured by all. Infact some of us feel entitled to this gift, we feel it's our right, forgetting that the owner of the gift can still withdraw it from our care. *Forgetting that the enemy of this gift is actually looking for means to steal away this great gift from us.* The gift that surpasses all other gifts, without this gift we can't receive other gifts. We can't wear those clothes, those shoes, we can't go on those vacations, have that dream job, we can't even receive wishes for our birthday, talk more of wedding or childbirth, we can't even see, breathe, hear or smell. This gift is the greatest amongst all others. None other than the "***gift of life."*** This is not child's play, this is not a game, there's nothing like a second life. Sleeping and waking up isn't child's play. Going outside your house and coming back home isn't even close to a joke. Infact being inside your house is also not a joke. Sighs...then you travelled out and arrived back home safely. You went to a bubbling and crowded market place. Or wait...you went to the bank. You were walking on the road, be it tarred or untarred. You crossed to the next side of the road. You boarded a public bus or you drove your car. The issue here is that you did all these and more, yet you're alive, Hale and hearty. Wait...even if you aren't even fully healthy, atleast you're alive right? *When* *there's life, there's hope.* Appreciate yourself more, be greatfull for the grace to sleep and wake up. I don't know about you, but I hear of different scenarios of death everyday. Just this previous Sunday, some bandits raided a church and killed the members of that church. I also went to church just like those people. Even if you don't have enough, just remember your life is worth being thankful for. You lost your job, you lost your spouse, you lost a child, you had a miscarriage, you lost that Visa, you lost that great employment, you lost your money, you lost your property...always remember; you lost all these but you didn't loose your life. So be grateful for living, a living body has more hope than a dead body. You can see, talk, walk, run, jump, hear, smell...common smile. You've got a life!!!. *I've missed this platform, but then you can't give what you don't have, how do I go on tipping others with such an amount in my wallet, I honestly hope Rusty comes back, pending that time; bare with me if I don't visit your articles frequently anymore. (Thing is that I'm not too good at just commenting and not upvoting).* Till we meet hopefully again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Relating my experience to life. It was raining when I woke up yesterday, I needed to go to church. *Yesterday was the first Sunday in the month of June so I really wanted to attend church service.* I wasn't at home and the house I spent the night in, the occupants didn't have an umbrella. At a Point I even wanted to just stay and not go to church because it didn't stop raining till past7. *Delay* *a period of time by which something is late or postponed.* Wikipedia At around past7, I stepped out. There was no bike at first, so I had to walk down the road a little bit before I spotted a bike and its owner. *Fast forward to when i was in the tricycle heading to Church.* *That was how the driver decided to branch to a fuel station to get fuel, there wasn't fuel in the first station. So he drove to another one and got fuel from there.* I kept looking at my wristwatch, church service had definitely started and here we were. He got the fuel and drove off, he stopped again in front of a vulcanizer shop and pleaded that he wanted to quickly pump one of his tyre. I was already quite frustrated. There wasn't much time left, service had long begun. To cut short the long story; i got late to church. Praise and worship section was over. Bible reading section was over. Testimony section was over. Payment of tithes and offerings' section was over. I was quite lucky to meet the choir ministration. ***What I picked from this experience of mine:*** In the journey of one's life, you alone would determine if you'll give in to those barriers, setbacks or distractions or if you'll ignore all these delays and just keep going. The **Church Service** represented **TIME.** The **Morning rain** represented an **obstacle** to getting or attaining my goal, it served as a barrier; standing against me going to church or staying back because it was raining. A barrier that would have **discouraged** me from starting or enabled my **procrastination**. In **life** **terms**, this barrier is popularly known as **Laziness** and also known as **Money.** Most times, we allow laziness draw us back, laziness would make us feel like... *...after all there's still a "next week Sunday."* Relating it to life: It would make us feel like there's still time and time would always be there for us to get things done at our own pace. The tricycle that kept stopping to do this and to do that; represents delays and setbacks. It simply means that in one's journey towards attaining success, it might not always be a smooth ride, there would be delay, there would be setbacks, there would be good and bad days. **Lesson learnt.** Time waiteth for no man: That it was raining that morning didn't mean service won't start when it was meant to start. Or that because there was some delay on the way, time would understand and wait. ***It's better to start going; even if the pace is slow, with time you'll get there.*** Imagine if i had decided that because it rained*(an obstacle),* I wouldn't go to church anymore. If i had stayed back, I would never had gotten to my destination, cause I gave in to the will of an obstacle*(rain)* and decided to postpone and go on the next Sunday. In relation to life. If you don't start, you'll never finish. *It's better to use a bicycle and atleast move, than to stay back because you didn't see a car.* *In essence...* *Life is a gradual process, even if the pace isn't fast, even if along the way there are setbacks or delay, as long as you keep going, you'll get there*. Don't just stay back because you feel money is a barrier, do something, look for ways to start, just start. The pace doesn't have to be fast at first. ***With determination you'll get there, but remember:*** Just like Sunday service didn't stop because i wasn't yet around, or didn't start because they were waiting for me to come. Always remember: ***"Time waiteth for no one."*** *So what you need to do, start doing.* *What you need to stop, stop doing.* There would be times you won't see a vehicle to enter; you'll have to trek for awhile. There'll be times the vehicle you entered would branch to get fuel or get its' tire pumped; you'll have to be calm and patient. What I simply means by this is that there would be times when you'll have setbacks, you'll be too tired to go on, you'll be stressed out and withdrawn. Let patience speak, but don't stop because of this, push yourself and keep going. ***Just keep going, you'll definitely get there.*** *I didn't plan to apologise, (I feel like you all might be asking yourself why I'm always apologizing), but then I still feel like.* *I'm sorry for not attending to the comments on my last article, I'll do justice to it today... sometimes the physical world mounts pressure on us and makes us less active virtually.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Walk a mile in my shoes. *The admonition to walk a mile in someone else's shoes means before judging someone, you must understand his experiences, challenges, thought processes.* Wikipedia Most times, we find ourselves doing things or treating people in ways that if the tides should turn, we just might not be able to accept being treated that way by others. A boss who always insults his staffs, speaks rudely to his staffs and just acts anyhow. A bully who derives pleasure in bullying others, making them feel bad of themselves. A person who takes the slightest chance in gossiping others, talking bad about others and not critically looking at the situation the person was in... **Truth is this:** If these all were to be a reverse case scenario: The boss who insults and speaks rudely wouldn't love or want the same to happen to him. The bully who bullies others wouldn't love or want to be bullied by others. The person who gossips others, would surely hate to be gossiped by others, especially when it's all rumours. *If we could walk a mile in someone else's shoes, we'll perform better.* A rich man who knows what it means to be poor, would never look down on the poor. A king who knows what it means to be a slave, would treat his slaves right. As regards the government, if the people held in high positions know what it means to be put in low places, there'll definitely be fairness in their dealings with others. *I remember seeing a movie about:* *A girl who came from a really wealthy background and a girl who wasn't really rich.* The rich girl was famous in high school, every other student wanted to be friends with her. *This high position she was placed in, made her treat some of them like a piece of shit.* She looked down on this particular poor girl and always seized every chance she got to bully her. This rich girl and her friends harassed this poor girl alot. There was a time, they poured milk all over her body. This poor girl got home and prayed a strange prayer point through pains before she finally dozed off. She had prayed: ***Dear Lord!!, Let her feel what it is to walk in my shoes.*** Viola!, The next day the poor girl woke up in the house, room, bed and body of the rich girl. The rich girl's case was the total opposite. *It was quite pathetic, as the soul or mind of the rich girl was now living in the poor girl's body and vice versa.* *You can imagine how tragic it must have been for the rich girl and how strange it must have been for the poor girl.* *What am i saying in essence:* Before we act, let's always think and reason out what we would have said or how we would have reacted if we were to walk a mile in their shoes. *If I was in this position, how would I have acted?* **If we want to raise voices or insult a person, let's picture this:** *If I was the one who was about to be insulted, would I have loved it?* *If we could walk a mile in the shoes of others, we'll act well and better towards them.* ****Apologies:**** *I'm pretty sure you'll feel like I'm always apologizing, forgive my manners, part-time classes have resumed. Remember I told you all that's it was a two weeks strike, well that strike have come to an end.* *My apologies to the commentators on my last post and second to the last post, I'll definitely attend to it all and do my best to visit you all articles tonight.* *And to those; who I haven't renewed my sponsorship with them,* *read.cash* *has been pending the transaction ever since I paid, I'm sure it'll be resolved soon just like it was resolved before.* *You could also find me on YouTube to catch a glimpse of my spoken word poetry, I've been trying to build my channel there and here's* *the link**.* https://youtube.com/channel/UCoDj5fJQWFNxZ9Bd_Z6lFeA Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Feedback. The word ***"Feedback"*** has really helped in reshaping, encouraging and criticising the works of some people. Before I delve in further, let's look at its meaning. *...information about reactions to a product, a person's performance of a task, etc. which is used as a basis for improvement.* Wikipedia Honestly speaking, i doubt if there's a person that doesn't like to be given feedbacks. You know that feeling of constantly posting on your Facebook page, WhatsApp status and yet no single reply or comment as regards what you posted. Everyone just seems to be viewing and passing. No words like: *Oh!, This is a great writeup,* *Or...* *You tried, but next time do this and this so it'll come out better.* Nothing!. Like nothing, nobody seems to pick interest in what you wrote about, no concern, it'll look like you didn't do it well and that can actually be depressing. For people like me: ***"it's enough to reduce my self-esteem."*** I will suddenly start feeling no confidence in what I wrote about. And sometimes it might lead me into abandoning my pen for a very long time. *I was chatting with a girl yesterday, she told me a story from her experience; how she was always writing on her Facebook page but no one seemed to pay attention or show concern to her write-ups. She got frustrated and stopped.* *One day, she met an elderly woman who she was quite familiar with on the road. This woman who was also this lady's friend on Facebook told her on that very day:* **The woman:** I love reading your write-ups alot, they are really beautiful, don't give up, just keep writing okay. *This lady was shocked after hearing this from a person she would have never thought of if they were to ask her about who she thinks; reads her posts.* When she got back home, she logged into her Facebook account, went directly to her timeline to search her post and the names of all those people who reacts on her posts, she actually didn't see this woman's name... *Like, the woman didn't even leave a reaction, let alone leaving a comment, but according to the woman "she likes reading this lady's writeups."* *The truth is that, people are watching. That beautiful dress you sew, that lovely portrait you drew, that awesome poem you wrote, that touching live session you hosted...* They are watching, but most of them, if not all are "Ghost Admirers." They admire you secretly, but restrain from giving feedbacks or constructive criticism. It's just like sewing a dress for a customer and all the customer does is to pay and leave. There might be an uncertainty in your credibility. You might be left wondering: Does she like it? Is she happy with the dress? Would she come back? Is there any complaint?. But how would you know, when the customer didn't give feedbacks?. *There was a time like that, I had written a complete story on my WhatsApp status and added some questions regarding the story, at the end.* ***What was I expecting?*** *The comments and answers from the people who viewed and prolly read the story. But, nothing, like nothing, it was only my mum and a girl that reacted, they didn't even respond to the question I asked. I was downcast, after that day I gave up on posting on WhatsApp for awhile until another day when a lady on my contact list messaged me; telling me she loves my poems and I shouldn't give up.* I was taken by surprise because I hadn't posted in a long while, but here she was; telling me not to relent. This was someone who had actually never commented on any of my poems in time past. ***Her feedback that day, kept me going for a long while.*** *There are Ghost Admirers.* But people need to learn that feedbacks are necessary, it helps: In building one's confidence. Strengthening the part where one is weak. Making one aware of one's mistakes. **It makes a person Happy:** I'm always happy whenever I see comments on my post on read.cash, I'm always happy when a person replies to my WhatsApp status. There's this joy I feel inside of me whenever I see that people actually engaged in my articles, poems or writing in general. A person to make amends at areas where need be. A person to know that they are not alone and that people actually do care about them. *Writers don't write for themselves, they write for people to read, so imagine writing a whole article or poem and no one engages on it?.* Fashion designers don't sew clothes for themselves alone, they also sow for their customers, imagine sowing and then no feedback whatsoever?. *Or imagine leading a praise song in church; dancing with all vibrancy and yet the congregation keeps moving a step at a time with boredom written all over their faces?.* *And the list continues....* *It's bad, so bad not to give feedbacks.* So many talents have been put to waste, all because they thought no one was watching or no one cares. All because they thought they are not good enough or they felt they did trash. *People's feedbacks and just the feeling that people are actually reading/watching/viewing has really helped me alot.* It does help alot, especially at the beginners stage. In essence, let's learn to give feedbacks, even if it's once in awhile. If you like or admire something or a person's performance, learn to speak, say it. Two minutes of your time; spent in appreciating the work of a person is really worth it. *"Oh! I love this,it's beautiful."* *"Wow! This was inspiring."* *"I feel you could do more better at this point."* *"I don't think you should have used that phrase, this phrase would have been better."* *These...and many more have saved a lot of talents from going into waste.* If you feel, there are some errors, still give feedbacks and give constructive criticism. Tell it wisely, in a polite way to the person, so the person can correct his/herself. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Good and Bad Success. *I literally have no idea as to what I intend writing today, but I don't want to start a new month with not publishing an article.* *By the way...* *Happy New month to all my amiable sponsors, subscribers, readers, tippers and commentators.* Welcome to the month of June, which is the sixth month in the year, I hope we've started smashing our mapped out goals. *Sighs...* The Bad and the Good Success. This statement is coined from a biblical scripture and it's this: For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success. ***...from a part of Joshua 1vs8 in the Bible.*** Ever since my growing up years, I grew with the mentality that there are successful people in the world, but not all of them are actually clean*(I'm pretty sure everyone must have grown up with this mentality too).* It's great to be successful, but if we take a glimpse as to what's going on in the world today; we'll see that, there are successful people, but not all of them sold their way to the top with clean hands. When I recently finished my secondary schooling, there was this male friend of mine that kept saying: **Him:** I had to mute alot of people on my WhatsApp list so I don't have to view their statuses. When I asked him why, he had painfully said: *Almost all of them on his contact list had iPhones, and if he kept viewing their statuses, he'll definitely fall into depression all because he felt he was oppressed by their success.* I actually thought it was weird because all the people he claimed to have oppressed him were Yahoo boys, people that shouldn't have sparked up any form of depression. Well this friend of mine followed this phrase: *If you can't beat them, join them.* Yeah, he's now doing what they did to get them an iPhone and expensive clothings, and he has gotten his iPhone, he's also dressing like them...*I guess he should be happy now.* Good Success. Good success is gotten through consistency, sweat, smartness, diligence, labour, time, energy, practice, passion...you just name it. *One thing that's unique about* ***"Good success"*** *is that it's genuine and you worked well and smart to attain it.* Unlike Bad Success: ...which is gotten through rituals, Yahoo, consistency, sweat, smartness, lesser labour, deceit, time, energy, fraudulent activities, betrayals...you just name it. *One thing about* ***"Bad Success"*** *is that it's not genuine. One got it through cutting corners.* It all boils down to the things we see on the media, sometimes whenever I see that a boy or a girl has gotten a car. I first observe the source of the person's success. Is it legal or illegal? ***If it's illegal, it doesn't affect me in any way.*** ***But if it's legal, it makes me strive to do better.*** *I stand to be corrected, but you only allow what you want to allow, into your life.* If you want to feel depressed, then Viola, let's welcome in depression. If you want to feel oppressed. *"Oh! Oppression you're highly welcomed!."* If your mates who have started driving exotic cars or building houses look oppressive to you...then you need to be really careful. Sometimes, those who feel oppressed, later gets depressed and from there, they get frustrated, loose their conscience and become desperate to amass wealth, even if it means killing or using innocent lives for rituals. These days, we hear terrible cases of how a sixteen years old boy killed his girlfriend or killed his mother. We hear of how a person betrayed a friend; to use her for rituals. These same people; after bestiality, ritual killings, Yahoo and all other forms of fraudulent activities would come out after the behind the scenes deed has been done; flaunting their exotic cars and you, that's doing it the right way would start feeling oppressed and depressed that someone you're older than has gotten a car. ***"Ahian!, But why nau?!"*** The success of another shouldn't make you depressed, it should rather make you do better. *Bad Success shouldn't even pinch our skins at all and good success should make us do better.* *And it ends here, I've dropped my pen.* *Apologies:* *I'm really sorry I haven't visited most articles today, I'll surely make amends tomorrow morning. I have a really terrible headache, but just didn't want to miss out in today's publication; being the first day of the month.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Networking. *This might be the longest of my articles so far, I have a whole lot to say and I don't want to slash out some part and make this have a first and second part, so please stay with me till the end...* Networking as the name implies, is a very broad topic that might not even be explained in full details even though or if this turns out to be a 10mins read. **First and foremost, what is networking?** According to Wikipedia, networking is: https://Wikipedia *the action or process of interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.* *"the skills of networking, bargaining, and negotiation"* There's something I was taught in school. It's quite plain. Network is the linking of various computer systems to enable them share files and resources with one another. **Does that ring a bell?. Just as you link different computers together to an host computer, that's the same way it works in the world we live in.** ***It simply means:*** *we need eachother to survive. You can't decide not to connect to others or share your files(skills) with them and expect manna to fall from the skies. If you must sell your way to the top, you need proper and good networking skills*. Let's listen to my experience. *I started writing ever since I was in primary school, I would cut papers from a book and glue them back together but in a different format, after which I'll write different stories. My classmates back then; knew I could write, they were always eager to read how I later ended the story...* *I wrote so many books when I was in primary school, but that was where it ended. After my classmates read them, they'll give me back, telling me to write another story soon.* *I got to secondary school, and still kept writing, these particular books I wrote in secondary school are still with me up to this present day.* *There was a girl in my class;* `"JSS 3"` *to be precised; who loved my stories, she bought a full forty leaves notebook and asked me to write a story for her. It was no big deal to me, I was so excited to write another story. Immediately I got home and did what I was supposed to do and started off.* *Now for me, I get inspiration at anytime of the day but preferably at night, when the environment is tranquil. I didn't sleep that night, I wrote her story all through the night as the inspiration kept coming in. I completed writing her story to the end of the forty leaves notebook and gave it to her at school the next day.* **I'll still explain the reason for that story up there.** All through my growing up years, I had this mentality that if I write, people would plagiarize my contents, so I never wrote anything on any of my social media platforms and kept waiting for the day I'll publish my book. *(I felt it'll be authentic through this method).* Secondary School passed, years rolled by. My pen had lost its ink. And to worsen the equation, I couldn't care less. I kept waiting and waiting for the perfect time to show the world what I'm made of through a book. No proper guidance, my mum also had this terrible mindset. Until last year when I met with a lady who had to reset my thinking faculty, after she helped me think straight, I started posting my write-ups in form of poems on my Facebook timeline and WhatsApp status, of course my mum complained but then I had to explain all it really entailed. Deep down; I wished I met her earlier, but I'm still grateful I met her. If I hadn't met her, I might prolly still be swimming in the river of uncertainty. Let's delve into the major types of network. We have: **PAN:** Personal Area Network. **LAN:** Local Area Network. **CAN:** Campus Area Network. **MAN:** Metropolitan Area Network. And the boss!, The oga at the top, I present to you, nothing less than the great...: **WAN:** Wide Area Network. I want this article to be very practical, so I'll be using a persona as an example to explain these various types of networks. **PAN:** As the meaning implies, PAN is the smallest network that's made up of your phone and your system, it's usually within a room and is managed by an individual. *The example:* *I have a talent of singing, I keep it within me, and just keep singing whenever I'm alone and no one would hear me. The world doesn't know I sing, but I know for a fact that I can sing and that's pretty much because my voice and songs have only been sung for me, myself and I.* I hope that clarified it better. **LAN:** Just as the meaning implies, it's commonly used within a building or between buildings that are close to eachother. The distance between these buildings are mostly short. *The example:* I'm a singer, but whenever I sing, I sing so loud, the neighbors always hears this, so they're aware that I can actually sing. *Or...* *You're an agent, you placed your sign board In your compound, you didn't place it in anywhere else, you didn't even get banners to hang around in different streets or areas. Your office and your sign board is just in your compound alone.* In this scenario, it's only those people in your compound that would know you're an agent. This is **LAN**, It's only reflects to people living with me or people that would come visiting the compound. **CAN:** Now, this one is quite bigger than LAN. And the story typed in my third blocked paragraph depicts this more. CAN is usually used in tertiary institutions or in large offices. *The example:* *Remember the story I told you about how I wrote books in primary and secondary school, well, I'll link this to something similar to CAN. Not entirely similar though and that's because it was only my classmates that knew i could write, my school mates didn't know.* So now, let's picture your school mates knowing you have a particular talent. Have you pictured it? I'm sure you have. That's what I refer to as CAN. **MAN:** Metropolitan means geographical city or town. Computers are mostly linked together within a state or in some communities. We have our radio stations to buttress this point. *The example:* *Imagine if you're a singer, but you decide to sing only on a particular radio station in a particular state. It's only those people in that state; listening to that exact radio station that would know you, those are the only people that would have an idea of the fact that you're a singer.* And here comes the boss of all bosses!!. WAN: It's the largest network that connects various computers together across the globe. The best example of **WAN** is the international network, fondly called the ***INTERNET.*** It was through this particular network, I'm on read.cash, many people have cashed out big time via this network. **No dulling anymore.** Businesses are now done online. Transactions are carried out online. People now attend interviews online. Most marketers have started taking advantage, we can now order for clothes, shoes, cakes, phones...you name it. Jobs are gotten online. The good news is that, this is the easiest way to actually market yourself and your skills to the world. We have: e-Business. e-Tailing. e-Services. e-Commerce. We even have e-Books too. People now do virtual classes online and get paid. But how did they go about this?. It all boils down to: ****Networking.**** Remember what networking entails: *the action or process of interacting with others to exchange information and develop professional or social contacts.* Networking Is something I don't know how to do. You need to go all out of your way and just make sure that Mr A, Mr B, Mr C...all the way down to Mr Z, knows what you do. Referrals doesn't come from the skies, it actually comes from people. Constant reminders; telling those who cares to know about what you do is very essential. *Yesterday I had to go back to build my Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube account. It's been eons since I last posted on those platforms. I had a change of plans and decided to post on all those platforms yesterday.* *Who knows where the client would come from... Lol, I don't have followers or subscribers yet but posting and engaging there is better than just abandoning it and leaving it to decay.* One of the most powerful weapons of Networking is ***"engagements"*** read.cash taught me this big time. When I was a neophyte on read.cash, I never engaged in any articles, I just kept posting and receiving little or no engagements. Trust me; nothing can be more pathetic than spending time and energy to draft out an article that doesn't spark the interest of your audience, much less their comments. But then, just as networking entails, you need to interact with other people, through those interactions; bonds, friendships and relationships are made. I don't know about you, but I've met and made friends with really awesome people on this platform. I recently joined another blogging platform called **"Medium"** that's why my engagements here has suddenly reduced, I'm trying to build another community of friendship there on **Medium.** ***I'm trying to make it WAN, Lol.*** *Although, funny enough, I've not been able to spark any interest there yet, lol, I don't really even understand how the app works.* There's no form of work that you'll do alone without networking with others, except maybe house chores. Lol. As an agent also, we oftentimes network with other agents and that's because at times, the house linked directly to us might just not be what our clients want, so we usually put a call through to other agents to find out if they have this or if they have that. A church; networks with different people. In a church, we find the choir, the media department, the ushers, the congregation, the welcoming team and you just name it. We all need eachother and that's what networking is all about. I have so much more to say but then this is already longer than I expected. And lastly, always remember to keep passing in a reminder to people about what you do or what you're good at. Don't just post that drawing today and expect it to always ring a bell in people's heads. Keep up with posting, keep up with sending that message across, keep the interaction flowing. You could even ask for a repost, through this, you'll get more numbers on your contact list. WAN has actually made it easier for us to make cool cash online, like I said in my article on **"Creativity"** *Don't wait for connection to locate you, find that connection and connect yourself into that connection.* **How do you do this?** By your works, experiences, talents and skills. So don't let it die, keep growing it and keep creating that **public awareness.** If where you are posting your works isn't giving you the proper audience you need, then surf through Google play store and find that specific app that'll shoot you to the top. Don't just limit your skills to PAN, LAN, CAN and MAN, make it as wide as WAN. Market your products online, post on different platforms. This is the main reason why I'm trying to revive my other social media accounts. Post and keep posting, someday you'll be noticed. *Sighs...* *If you've read up to this stage, an hearty congratulations to you, I definitely appreciate your time.* There are still so much more to say about networking...so much more, that I might not even have an idea of. Networking is a really vast topic but I hope I touched few edges. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Another prompt interview. *I was about writing on a topic I saved in my draft today, but suddenly changed my mind and decided to postpone writing on it till tomorrow.* I've always wanted to jump on this prompt since last week, but lol, there was no writer's block, so I kept postponing the day I'll answer the questions. I came across this lovely prompt on one of @Oyinwrites articles, feel free to check her interesting version of these questions via this link. https://read.cash/@Oyinwrites/relationship-questions-and-answers-8b9321ac Time for some questions and answers!!. ***Can you continue your relationship with someone that slept with your best friend?*** First and foremost, I don't have a bestfriend, if I had one...it'll have prolly been a boy. But then, if I actually had a girl bestie and she slept with my boyfriend, there's no way I'll continue with such relationship. *(chuckles)* I mean, I don't really have to say it, the answer is glaring. It's rare to find someone that'll continue in such deceitful and baseless relationship. *Can you get married to someone you are not compatible with medically?.* There's no reason why I'll do this, nobody in his/her sane mind would get married to a person they're not medically compatible with. I've heard of some cases whereby some lovers broke up all because towards courtship; they realized they were not medically compatible. While some still took chances and their children suffered the consequences of their actions. *I believe, knowing eachother's genotype should be the first thing to tackle before entering or entering deeper into a relationship.* *Can you marry an abusive partner?* I don't see myself dating an abusive partner let alone ***"getting married to such species of monsters"*** some parent's negligence towards issues like this has actually increased the rate of monsters in human form that we have till date. A man who is abusive should not bother standing up when men are called, but should stand up when animals are called. I want a sweet marriage, my eyes have seen alot of things during my growing up years. I'd be a fool to repeat the same sequence of mistakes. *Can you marry someone with no source of income?* *You don't have a source of income and you have the mind to come and propose? Lol, nothing at all, no job, nada, nothing!!. Ahan, that's too bad... Are we meant to feed on* ***"i love you, I love you too."*** *No nau, how are we even going to plan the wedding? By borrowing abi?. Even the Nigerian singer* ***"Davido"*** *said: When money enter, love is sweeter."* As far as I'm concerned, it's **Purpose before Partner.** Yeah you can read that again. *(So if you've not found your purpose and you've not sorted out your life, don't come and look for me. And if I've also not found mine, don't also come and look for me).* I definitely can't marry someone who doesn't have a source of income, and I'll have mine too. *Have you ever fell in love with someone at first sight?* Just like Oyin said in her article, I also don't believe in ***"love at first sight"*** I can crush on you at first sight. Infact it's so natural for me to crush on any **TDH** guy at first sight. But it ends there. It can't be more than that, infact I might suddenly get irritated the next time I see you, or when I start noticing some dangerous traits in you. *I don't love easily, but I crush on people easily, especially when you're the* ***TDH*** *with* ***pink lips*** *version. 🙈* *Can you ever imagine yourselves in an homosexual relationship?* My answer is quite obvious, I can't imagine myself being in such kinds of relationships. *Can you marry your friend's ex?* I really don't know though, maybe, maybe not. It depends on the situation of things. My friend might actually be cool with it especially if she's prolly married at that time and oh well, love happens... let's split my uncertain answers in percentages. ***Me marrying my friend's ex, I'll say 15%*** ***Me not getting married to my friend's ex, I'll give this 85%.*** *Are you currently in a relationship?* Being single is actually so much fun *(no commitments, no breakfast, no quarrels that might lead to tears, freedom is 💯 guaranteed)...*I'm definitely not planning to leave this fun stage anytime soon. *And it's a wrap, we've successfully come to the end of my relationship prompt version, feel free to jump on it if you haven't.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Hearing from the horse's mouth. To hear from the horse's mouth is an idiomatic expression that simply means: *To hear it from the person who has direct personal knowledge of it.* What's this blog all about? The truth. *One thing about the truth is that it mostly comes out into the open, just the same way a pregnancy can't be concealed, the truth can't be hidden for too long*. There are some situations some people find themselves in, mostly as a result of their ugly past experiences. Some might prolly be as a result of the number of body counts, or as a result of the number of abortions they've had. Some might be as a result of murder, deceit, and so much more atrocities you can think of. It's really hard to tell the truth, especially when we need to tell it to our loved ones or someone we can't bare to be separated from. But while struggling with your conscience, always remember that: *"The truth sets you free."* Have you ever been in a situation whereby you concealed a bad thing in your mind for too long, but after sometime, your conscience just wouldn't let you be, so you spilled and whooah! Do you ever notice how free your mind becomes whenever you've told the truth? It's awesome right? The truth is relieving, It's stress free. It might start off on the bad side, but trust me it heals. The truth isn't hidden for too long. It saves you from constant pains and regrets. It also saves from blackmails. **But...in the end.** ***It's always best when the truth comes from you and not anyone else.*** Most people are so scared to face their past, some people's past still hunts them even after they've tied the knots. That's when you'll see their past boyfriend who had done one or two things with them; coming back to hunt down their happiness. `People fall into a more deeper sin, just by trying to hide the truth.` A short dialogue. **Helena:** Zach, I can't do this, you know I'm now a married woman, I can't meet up with you, especially not in an hotel, I just can't. **Zach:** I'm giving you 24hours Helena, 24hours to make up your mind, else your pretty little husband would find out about how many abortions you've had. **Helena:** *(sobs)* why do you keep doing this Zach?, Okay fine, I'll come, text me the address, but please let this be the last time. I can't continue doing this please, name your price, I'll pay you any amount. Just stay away from my family please. *One thing about Helena's past is that; it'll keep coming back to hunt her if she lets it, the only way Helena could have conquered her past is by telling her husband. Dropping the bombshell directly from her mouth.* It would still be hard, but it's always better if you are the one they hear it from an not anyone else. It's always best if they hear it from you first, it makes them heal faster. It might take some time, but they'll be more grateful to have heard it from you and not anyone else. *Gregory is filled with tears, while Helena Is on her kneels, begging.* **Helena:** I'm so sorry Greg, I'm really sorry I didn't tell you, I was too ashamed of my past. I just couldn't fathom what would happen to our lovely marriage if I had spilled, please forgive me Greg. I'm really sorry. *(Sobs).* **Greg:** You should have told me!! You should have told me Helena, do you know how I felt when I heard it from someone else?. So my wife keeps secrets from me, I had to hear it from another person. You should have told me!!!! *(Walks away, enters his car and drives off).* **Helena:** *(painfully screams after him)* I didn't want to loose you!!!!! Oh no!! Greg!!! No no no, I hate you so much Zach! I hate you!!!... *(Sobs)* Greg!!!!. ***Lights fade out.*** Most people feel that telling the truth would make them loose their loved ones, forgetting that no matter how much they try, the truth would still show it's face. It's only a matter of time. Even if the truth makes them loose their loved ones, it's still always better to take the chances; especially because the truth gives freedom to your conscience. Even the Bible says: *He who covers his sins shall not prosper, but he who confesses and forsakes them shall obtain mercy.* Tell the truth, and let that truth be heard from you first and not anyone else. It's always better if it happens this way, than happening the other way around. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Who is wrong?. May 27th, 2022. The world children's day. A day to celebrate and appreciate our children and all the children around us. To all the children out there: ***"Happy children's day,"*** wishing you more of this day, I'm sure you had lots of fun. Lol, those days when I was still a child, I always look forward to eating rice and chicken in school or in church, the gifts and the dresses. I participated in children's day activities; like choreography, drama, choir ministration, memory verse and the likes. It was fun. Infact, being a child is fun, they deserve to be celebrated especially because they'll soon grow up to face what we; adults are facing. *Sighs...* We thank God for growth. `Without further ado, let's delve into today's blog topic.` So for today's blog, I'll be writing a story, a story that'll have a question at the end. I'll love for my dearest readers to air their views. Some people, due to either their past experiences or insecurities; don't trust their partners easily and because of this lack of trust they have, they put their partners to a test. *For some, they trust their partners so much and put them to some kind of test to test their faithfulness and probably boast to their friends about how great their partners are.* *I actually did this or something similar when I was plurally single.* But the question is: ***"is it actually right or proper to do such?."*** The Story. There were two lovers who loved themselves dearly, the female was named "Clara" and the male was "Paul." These two had been dating ever since their secondary school years, they promised themselves to get married once they were done with their education and when they are fully settled. Oh! How rosy it was, Clara was undoubtedly a gorgeous and everyone's wannabe with kind of lady. She was most men choice. There was this time these lovers went to the mall to get some things, on their way out, a guy who drove a better looking posh car; walked up to Clara to ask for her digit. She smiled and politely turned him down, she boldly and happily told him she was taken and her boyfriend was the one dropping off things in the boot. The boy had tried cajoling her, but she had bluntly refused. The rate at which Clara turned almost every guy down, both in Paul's presence and in his absence, made Paul trust her more. He could boldly beat his chest and say: *"No!, Clara can never cheat on me, even if I'm far away or out of the country for years, my baby would never betray our love."* That was how Paul raised his shoulders whenever his friends dared to compare his beloved Clara to the ***"all girls are the same"*** phrase. **Paul:** Not my baby girl, my baby girl can never do it. You can't even get her number and you're here; talking about getting her heart. Clara is not those regular type of girls ooh. My baby is 100% loyal. *(After Paul said this during one of his regular Hangouts with the guys, one of his friends; named Kelvin, stood up boldly and told Paul that he'll get his girl, Paul first eyed him from head to toes and bursted out into some sort of laughter, the other friends urged Paul and told Paul to try Kelvin, that if Kelvin of all people didn't get Clara, then they'll accept that Clara is different from other girls).* **Paul:** *(thinks for awhile)* good deal, not a bad idea, fine...the deal is on, I'll give you two months to accomplish this. I'll be away for two months and I'll leave you alone to try your luck. *(He said hysterically and laughed once more, he dropped some money on the table and told his friend that he'll be given more if Clara falls).* *Hmmm, what are my readers thinking?. Lol, I know already, you've all gotten the gist, so let's not prolong this further.* Kelvin shot his shots, and as usual, Clara didn't catch those shots at first, unfortunately for Paul, Kelvin got to know things that Clara loved so much, things that Paul; who knew her for years had no idea of or prolly neglected. The goodnews was that most of what Clara liked was practically what Kelvin fancied. There grew a certain chemistry as Kelvin kept helping Clara attain her career goals. After a month, Kelvin grew to love Clara and vice versa. Clara suddenly became not too interested in Paul anymore, she became confused as to what or who she really wanted. Here's Paul, who she had been with for years, who she had always thought she was connected to, and here's Kelvin who she met a month back and it looks like she has known him for years. Kelvin also would never had thought that he would find love with Clara. He never would have thought that Clara would make him love again. Paul was left in the air, well Paul lost Clara to Kelvin. There was a little rift between Clara and Kelvin when she found out that the foundation of their friendship was built on lies, this was later settled and trust me; Clara didn't take it likely with Paul when she found out that he had put her to a test. ***Would you blame Paul for putting Clara to a test?*** ***Would you blame Clara for not passing the test and falling in love with Kelvin?*** ***Would you blame Kelvin for falling in love with Clara instead of focusing on the bet?*** ***Or, would you rather blame love?*** Personally, I feel Paul should never had put Clara to a test, your friends shouldn't make you do things especially when it concerns your love life, it's so wrong to use your friend or anybody to test your lover. Clara is human, I guess Paul was used as a tool to connect her to her soulmate. She fell for Kelvin, only because she felt a certain way with him, a way she had never felt since all the years she had been with Paul. **Disclaimer:** That Clara fell for Paul, doesn't mean that what the boys debated on Is actually true, or that all girls are the same...no, quite far from it. It is what it is. Love happened. I stand to be corrected though, but 90% of people who used their friends or someone else to test their lovers; ended up loosing their lovers to them. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Friends and Unfriendly Friends. *This blog was initially titled:* ***"family and friends,"*** *but along the line, there was a change of plans.* *I was initially writing about how family is very important and how friends shouldn't be given as much importance as family, but then I decided not to use my experience and feelings to write. I had to research on the topic. After the research, I realized that not all friends are foes, neither are all friends fake. Real friends are just rare to find and it leaves us with more of the unfriendly ones.* **Friends** and unfriendly friends. It's better to be alone than to have a million friends who are unreliable. Real friends are rare to find, and that's why most people urge that once you find a real friend, value and cherish such friendships. Who is a friend? A friend; to me is a soul in two bodies, a friend is someone you can rely one, someone you share your burdens with, someone that would always be Keen to lift you up. Someone who's always genuinely happy about your wins and achievements. A person who doesn't go behind you to spread rumours, someone who doesn't laugh at your insecurities. A friend is someone who sees you as a family. An unfriendly friend. Just as the name implies, these kinds are pretty much your friend, some of us still keep them around prolly because we haven't noticed their envy or ill wishes towards us. They pretend to be your friends, but it's quite far from it. They are the complete opposite of who a true and real friend is. Funny enough, these people can even congratulate you with smiles, jumping and jubilating at your wins, oh!, You'll definitely feel their fake love is genuine. ***But...*** They are green snakes under the green grasses. These types are the ones that you don't see when you need them the most. They always talk about themselves only, they are never interested in hearing about what's going on in your life. They tease you about your insecurities. They want you for themselves and themselves alone, making your other friends feel inadequate. They are never appreciative of your wins. They are not secret keepers, a little quarrel and the whistle is blown. They are competitive, they never want to hear that you've achieved more than them. They always want to be on top. In this sense; they'll do all they can to make you feel so bad of yourself. They are not interested in where you're headed, they're rude about things you like. A short dialogue: **Trisha:** *(excited)* Triana, remember that job interview I told you about?!! **Triana:** *(unconcerned)* yeah, what about it? **Trisha:** *(looks at her keenly)* take a wild guess?. **Triana:** oh spill If you wanna, you know I'm bad at guessing. **Trisha:** uhhhm, okay!! I got the job!!!. **Triana:** ehya, congratulations ooh. *(Changes the topic)* ehn ehn, did you bring that shoe I told you about yesterday?. They are unsupportive. They don't make you happy anymore, you don't find it fun to be around them, you suddenly just feel moody whenever they stop by. They make you feel insecure. They are always good at giving bad advice. It's an unfriendly friend that would ask you to cheat on your spouse because you caught him cheating. An unfriendly friend would ask you to go and confront your spouse in public, just because you saw your spouse with a lady. An unfriendly friend would ask you to give your husband attitude just because he refused to give you money. An unfriendly friend would always be the first to suggest wrong and bad ideas to tackle a situation. A short dialogue: **Trisha:** *(worried)* My boss keeps making advances at me, I just don't know what else to do. **Triana:** ahan, babe, common...you know there are no jobs out there, sleep with the man and let's close this chapter, what's there? You're not going to be the first person that would sleep with your boss, neither would you be the last. An unfriendly friend comes with different characteristics. The worst kinds are those ones that would happily laugh with you, but deep within their hearts; They are so jealous, envious and angry at your wins or achievements. These kind of friends are the ones that pastor in my last article had, he had them as his members, he had them all around him. https://read.cash/@Ellawrites/love-me-when-i-live-not-when-i-die-6c3d90a9 Unfriendly friends are all around us, yes they are. For some, their true character plays off when the going gets tough. For others; you'll notice it just by the way they talk or react to good or bad news. *It's better to be alone, than to have so many unreliable and untrustworthy friends.* **Sponsorship renewal:** *It's one thing to be sponsored and it's another thing for that sponsorship to be renewed. To a great writer on this platform, I'm honored for your constant show of support. My hearty gratitude to you* @Tomi-Ajax Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Love me when i live, not when I die... There was a poem I wrote sometime back, it was inspired by a true life story a friend of mine told me. **The Story.** He told me of a pastor who was pretty much close to his mother. This pastor had a church and also had members (atleast few members). It was going on pretty well, till one fateful day when an incident occurred It rained heavily on that fateful day; heavily enough to collapse the whole building of the church. I guess the foundation of the church wasn't strong enough. No life was lost, but this Pastor became extremely sad, he was downcast and started pleading with his Church members to assist him with funds to rebuild his church. No one came to the rescue, the pastor developed an high blood pressure and fell seriously ill, it was then he came to meet my friend's mother and narrated his ordeal to her. ***Sighs...*** She assisted in the best way she could, but I guess it wasn't enough. He died. His burial. The rate of people who came to attend his funeral made my friend wonder and kept wondering: ***Where were all these people when he needed them the most?*** They made his funeral a grand one, bought the best coffin to place his dead body in. What triggered my tears was when I heard that after this Pastor's death, they all gathered money to rebuild his church as a way of paying their last respect to him. They rebuilt his Church. They rebuilt his church!! Why didn't they do this when he was very much alive and badly needed their help? Where were they when he needed them the most? When his church collapsed? When he felt ill? When he asked and begged for help? Where were they? Of what use is their help now that he's dead? Of what use is the grand funeral they hosted for him? The money they spent for the burial ceremony would have gone a long way in helping him when he was alive. `Where were they when he was alive?` The truth is that; people have normalized not helping you in time of distress or need, it has become normal for people to stretch forth their hands to help or you when you're gone. They attend one's funeral, shedding crocodile tears, lamenting and wishing falsely that you were still with them. *How Sad!!.* Honor me when am alive, not when am dead. I want to embrace the feeling of love you share. I want to know that I'm loved and cherished. If you can't love me when am alive, hale and hearty, if you can't aid and rescue me when I'm sick and dying, then don't love me when I die. I would have said much more, but this article is quite connected to my next article; which I'll share tomorrow to buttress more on this topic. *It's always best to do what you can to help save a life, than to do nothing and do everything when that life is gone.* *Sponsorship renewal:* *It's one thing to be sponsored and it's another thing for that sponsorship to be renewed, I want to extend my deepest gratitude to these great and top-notch writers on this great platform.* *To* @Talecharm *and* @MichaelBCH *, thanks immensely for the sponsorship renewal.* I'll reply to all the comments on my previous article and attend to other unread articles tonight, I couldn't do that yesterday because I was indisposed. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Passion vs Profession. ****The second warning...**** *Sighs...* Honestly, I was really scared when I saw the notification again, this would make it the second time I'd be seeing it. **How it came to play:** I was actually replying the comments on the prompt article I wrote three days ago, I had just replied @Vince, and was about to reply @Bilqees... I kinda wanted to repeat the same thing I told Vince to Bilqees and just as I clicked on "**Add Comment**," this suddenly popped up. Immediately I saw this, fear creeped into mind. I suddenly became scared of replying other people's comments and commenting on their articles, I had to muster up courage to actually do it. And yes! I also had to quickly change the words I intended leaving as a reply to Bilqees: This is the second time, read.cash would send in that notification, I'm afraid of this saying that goes: Once was a warning, twice was a lesson, and anything more than that is simply just taking advantage. Wikipedia. It relates in a way, in the sense that, this is the second time I'd be receiving such warning. The third time; I might prolly not be warned at all. I have no idea as to how many times the app sends in that notification. Oh I don't pray for a third time. Rusty's visit: He didn't visit till few minutes to 6pm(Nigerian time). This time around, the visit of rusty wasn't just a reason for my earnings to increase, it was more like an assurance that my account is still active. *Sighs... It is well...* Today's blog. **Passion for something or towards something:** an extreme interest in or wish for doing something, such as a hobby, activity, etc Cambridge. **Profession.** a paid occupation, especially one that involves prolonged training and a formal qualification. "his chosen profession of teaching Wikipedia *For profession, you do it to earn a salary or pay at the end of every service you render.* So I saw a movie today, a Nigerian movie to be precised. The summary of the movie was: Two lovers lived together in the same apartment, the girl lover actually had to quit her job at the bank to pursue a career in being a makeup artist. Her boyfriend obviously never supported her passion, he actually felt it was stupid of his girlfriend to have quitted her job to become a makeup artist. After sometime, her boyfriend travelled to Canada; with the funds/assistance of his girlfriend... *Okay, Pause.* There was something the girl told her lover; which was this. ***You find your profession in your passion, that way you get fulfillment***. She also said this: ***Profession gives you a job to earn a salary while passion gives you a purpose to earn fulfilment.*** When we find passion in our profession, it brings a taste of fulfilment. *But...* When you are not really passionate about your profession, there might be setbacks. Sometimes; you might not even feel happy; doing your job or in your place of work. *Profession minus passion equals to frustration.* Although In all fairness, passion may not always bring materialistic relief, but profession can. *I'm sorry I can't digress further, I'm writing this based on the movie I watched and not based on research.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Story time... A journey back to the good old days. Eighteen years old Estella; stood In front of her parents grave, reminiscing on lovely memories from years she was younger. Estella had been the only child her parents birthed. She sobbed as she remembered how elated she had always been in anticipating dad's return from work or travel. That overwhelming excitement that emerges from within her whenever she saw her mum and dad. Estella ecstatically jumped off the school bus and ran into the embrace of her beloved parents; whose arms were lovingly stretched out. She cried out in cheer excitement. ***Mummy! Daddy!!*** Daddy carried her and placed her on his shoulders, walking into the house with mummy by his side. Mummy had prepared lunch, but from the expression on Estella's face, one could tell that she dreaded **"beans."** Mummy definitely knew how well to cajole her daughter. She dipped her hands into her shirt pocket and brought out some candies. Immediately Estella sighted this, the excitement that grew more in her was unhidden as she tried yanking it off her mom's hands, but her mum slightly pushed her hands back, signalling to her little Estella and pointing to the beans; deliciously placed in front of her. **Mummy:** Eat your meal first and the candy is all yours. ***(Mummy teased).*** Estella slightly twitched her lips as she munched down the food. Every night, before sleep steals her away, mummy and daddy never forgot to snuggle her into their arms, filling her cheeks with kisses of love; which made her giggle or chuckle as a reciprocation to their overwhelming affection. Not a school day passed without five years old Estella telling Mom of everything that transpired in school. She never for once; denied her mother of the details. How she always waited for the jingle of the closing bell, so she could rush back to the embrace of her loving parents. At age six, little Estella did the house chores with so much joy and love, running errands for Mama without murmuring or complaining. *Streams of tears rolled down her cheeks as she looked on at their graves with pains and regrets, if she could turn back the hands of time, she might prolly get one last chance to tell them how much she cares.* Ten years old Estella was already a big girl. Twelve years old Estella became an adolescent. Mama taught her how to clean herself up when stained, how to properly place her sanitary pad and so much more. *She grew and kept growing.* Sixteen years old Estella had a developed body, started making more friends, and worst; started craving for her space. **The changes were glaring.** Her once loving mother, became a nagging woman. Her super, duper cool father, became a parcel filled with boredom. The presence of her parents which her younger self had enthusiastically craved for, became a sordid irritation. **Mum:** *(yells)* Estella!!! I sent you to get me fish from Mummy Dora's shop, since morning and you're still lying down there. **Estella:** *(grumbles)* Oooh!! Arrggh, you've started oh, someone can't have peace in this house again. She fell on her kneels, as her mind wandered to the very last moment she had with her caring and loving parents. **Dad:** Estella, I called you and your mother here, to talk to you. Why are you treating us this way? Did your mom and I do something wrong? **Estella:** *(bellows)* Just let me be please!, You're going to the mall right?, Go already! And stop bugging my life. ***(She could remember mummy's teary eyes, the hurt, the pains...)*** *"Why was she behaving this way to her parents?" She had questioned herself... "But they can be so unbearable at times." She had hastily defended herself.* *She hadn't said a word of apology to them that morning, even when she had felt the nudge to, she stiffed her tongue and kept growling more hurtful words to her parents.* They had gone to the mall that day, but unfortunately; they never returned. Estella finally found her words, she screamed out loud: I'm sorry Mum!!!?, I'm sorry Dad!!!. Oh!, I should have said sorry! My conscience would have been happier; knowing that you both died with the thought that i love you. I should have apologized! Oh no!, Why didn't I?. I should have told you how much I love you!! No! No!! Noooooooooo!!!!!!. She screamed, hitting the sand so hard; with her hands. A saying: *We don't really know the value of what we have until we loose it.* To our parents, loved ones, friends and families, and sometimes; even to strangers, let's make them feel loved. *To birth and nurture a child till the stage when the child can stand on his/her own, isn't child's play.* So let's make peace with everyone, because we know not what tomorrow holds in store for us. *Disclaimer:* This story is partly fictional and partly non-fictional, it doesn't happen in most homes, but it does happen in some homes...remember, I write mostly from experience, this literally means that **"experience"** is the source. *Also, this has initially been written on my Facebook page. It was written months ago, I only decided to transfer it down here.* ***"Honor thy father and thy mother"*** is the greatest commandment with a promise. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

@Ellawrites

Prompt interview I read an article yesterday, talking about how some read.cash users leave comments on people's posts without even reading the article/post. What baffles me most is the fact that some of them leave irrelevant comments; comments that isn't even related to the article in any way. I'm usually shocked at times when I read some people's comments. I feel that, if you can't read one's article, isn't it better to just skip and move on to the next. ***Why commenting out of point?.*** I remember a time like that, when I wrote an article on a particular topic, this user came; commenting about ***"a parent being strict to their children."*** Yes, I know I've written on ***"strict parents"*** before, but this particular article wasn't in anyway related to ***"strictness."*** *I always read before dropping comments, and sometimes when I've finished reading and I'm just clueless as regards what to comment, I tip and pass.* Let's try and curb off this habit, just as the writer said, there's a reason why it's called **"read.cash"** and not **"write.cash,"** the platform expects you to read the articles of others and if you can't... cause trust me, it's not possible to read everyone's articles. There are so many articles I've not read for a long time, and it just keeps piling and increasing by the day. *That's why I do take the articles of my commentators as my first priority, before checking out the articles of others.* I understand you, really. But tipping is better than leaving irrelevant comments on people's articles. Or even if you can't possibly read to the end, atleast have something awesome to say in the comment section, not something so off and different. It hurts too, when you don't read an article at all and it's so obvious that you didn't read it or you prolly read only the title. Lol 😂 ***Anyways, it is well.*** Before we proceed, I need to leave a message to my sponsors. *To my sponsors, I'm immensely grateful for your loving show of support, thanks for the renewals, thanks for your stay on my block. Mr* @Olasquare *thanks so much, for the sponsorship renewal.* **Today's blog.** I first came across this questions on @Gaiom post, he answered these questions brilliantly and I made my request known; stating that I'd like to jump on it. He gave me the go ahead. Without further ado, let's delve right in. Do I like who I am right now? ***Sighs...*** It depends though, I partly do and I partly don't. ***Partly do.*** I love for a fact that I'm wiser than what I used to be, I'm better and I have clearer visions. ***Partly don't.*** Aah, I'm lazy, the visions are there, but there's no driving force, I procrastinate alot, I eat too much biscuits; even after knowing it's harmful to my health. One minute, I'll say I won't eat biscuit frequently anymore, the next minute I'm in Mummy Dora's shop buying and buying. Wasting so much on something so invaluable. Even my mum doesn't trust me with buying something meaningful with money. It's always biscuits and all forms of junks. I know the steps to take, but my self-control towards things is pretty weak. So I'm happy and still unhappy with who I am. When was the last time I laughed so hard? ***Sighs...*** It should be some weeks ago, when I was teasing a close friend of mine as regards how he says words like: ***"I think, because, and stuffs like that."*** Lol. What would I truly regret not doing if I died tonight? ***Sighs...*** I'll definitely regret not achieving my dreams and goals in life, not being able to conquer my spending habit, not using my time on Earth in doing wise and profitable things. Not being a good daughter to my parents. ***I'm being truthful here though, it's the truth, my life is quite complicated.*** What advice had someone in my family given, and that I have taken just in time? From my dad actually, he said: Never look down on/downgrade anyone. Don't be proud. **What were the top three lessons I learned the hard way?** In all you do in life, don't forget where you came from, don't ever forget these six letter words: **"family."** Most people don't really care about you, the moment you are useless to them, they drop you like a piece of garbage. So never loose your value. There are two words that consists of four letters, one is **"love"** and the other is **"lust."** Most people confuse lust for love, I learnt alot from this, and believe me, I learnt it the hard way. What would I do if my biggest fear came true? ***Sighs...*** My biggest fear is failing and not being able to eat a meal in a day, more like going back to square one. ***Sighs...*** I honestly don't know what I'll do, I can't say, I'm clueless as to how deep it'll cut through my skin. I might even loose faith. I'm not here to mince words. The truth is: ***I might not be able to scale through it again, especially since I've been there before.*** What would I do with my remaining years if I had only a year left to live? ***Sighs...*** I'll spend it with my family, do all I can to achieve my goals, be a good daughter to my parents, overcome my weaknesses and strive to leave a legacy to generations and those yet unborn. Am I a servant of money or does money serve me? Without sighing or wasting time. I am a servant of money...yeah, I hope the tide turns soon. Why am I afraid of being true to myself when others are around? It's just quite hard to be true without having people judging you. But then, I've changed though. Whatever you do, people would surely talk, some will be your supporters and some will be your opposers. So just do what you know is right. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

@Ellawrites

Would you rather tell?... ***First of, something pretty exciting but not so exciting happened today, lol. Before I continue:*** `Respect pregnant women ooh!.` I always admire all pregnant women, infact the thought that there's a foetus growing in their womb, a foetus that'll form into a baby...aaah! It's enough for me to respect them. How do you feel, seeing a pregnant woman exercising, or prolly if you see a pregnant woman on a bike? Well for me. There's this fear that creeps into my mind, I'm always scared that something might happen to the baby, especially whenever the bike man uses his bike to climb road bumps. ***Well, why am I saying this?*** Today, a pregnant woman and I, climbed a bike and OMG!, Her stomach was directly rubbing my back, it actually made that part of my back; quite warm. I was enjoying the feeling and at the same time, scared of the feeling. I was scared especially when the bike man had to climb the road bumps. I had this feeling that the baby won't be comfortable and it might affect the health of such child. *Don't mind me, I always have such feelings.* ***Sighs...*** I just couldn't wait for her to highlight, it was a wonderful, yet strange experience, cause I was wondering if climbing bikes during pregnancy is healthy for a pregnant woman. ***No cap...they are trying.*** Today's blog. Would you rather tell?. How do you celebrate your wins?. Who are those people that comes into your mind when you have a great news to share? Are you the loud type of person who allows too much excitement open up your mouth to start spilling out? Or are you just the calm person who doesn't speak until you've seen the results? Would you rather tell? Or would you rather remain quiet till you've achieved your goals? How sure are you that your best friend loves you that much? Are you the open minded kind of person; who believes that everyone wishes you well? Or are you the over religious person who feels that everyone is either a witch or a wizard?. ***Wait...***or maybe you're just in-between the two questions I asked last. Flora and Gloria had been best of friends ever since they were much younger. *Did I just say friends?.* Oh! No! Forgive me for that, they were more like sisters, that's how closely bonded they were, they always acted like conjoined twins. Anywhere you see Flora, you must definitely see Gloria. Gloria without Flora and vice versa was an imbalanced equation, to make the equation balanced, they must be together. Just like Gloria was close to Flora, their parents were also close to eachother. When Flora turned Eight, she lost her parents into a tragic car accident. It was pathetic and really painful for her, she almost lost herself. Gloria on the other hand, was always around, cuddling up her friend into her hands, continuously reminding her that she's loved and cherished. Just as we must have presumed, Gloria's parents took Flora in to live with them and yippie!!, Flora and Gloria officially became sisters. Life went on, they both clocked twelve, then thirteen, fourteen and they were still as close as ever before, infact their bond tightened up and their love for eachother increased. They shared everything with eachother, they told themselves eachother's secrets. You can't tell Gloria a thing and expect her to keep it away from Flora. They kept aging, aging in affection, aging in bonding till they clocked eighteen. They obviously finished from secondary school together, they were both processing their visa to school abroad. ***It was then...then something happened.*** Flora was denied the Visa, while Gloria was given the Visa. Gloria was so excited that day, she ran all the way home to spill out the news to her dear sister. She was bemused when she was welcomed with her sister's sadness. **Gloria:** What's wrong Flora? Why are you this moody? **Flora:** ***(sad)*** I was denied the Visa Immediately Gloria heard this, she bursted into tears, how does she explain such good news to her dear and beloved sister. She was dumbfounded and sad. Flora had to break the sudden silence that came after the bad news was spilled. **Flora:** ***(wipes off her tears)*** Anyways, how about you dear? Were you also denied the Visa? Or were you given? **Gloria:** ??? The end... If you were Gloria, would you rather tell? Or would you probably lie and forfeit the Visa, to still stick around with your sister?. After all...just like a comment I read in one of my previous article. Twenty people can't travel together for twenty years. So would you rather decide not to tell her and travel without her awareness?. And for those questions I initially asked: *The people that comes into my mind whenever I have good news to share, are members of my family. Especially my brother.* *And lol, I am calm till I've seen results, and I can also be loud, but anytime I speak too fast, I always end up regretting.* Do forgive me, I might not have engaged on some of your articles today, and that's because I can't engage without tipping, infact that's why I haven't really replied to the comments on my previous article. I'll surely and definitely do justice to it, before tomorrow overpowers today. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Creativity. the use of imagination or original ideas to create something; inventiveness. Wikipedia Ever since **"May"** started, every Sunday has been one; where we learn new things. Last Sunday wasn't an exception. When it was time for ministration, the pastor climbed the altar and again; the theme of this month was talked about, oops, I forgot: ***"this time it was more practical."*** What was the theme again?. *Oh yeah, it was...* ***"Breaking financial hardship."*** Last Sunday, different ways to make money were discussed, but let's first talk about this words. This ten letter words. C R E A T I V I T Y. It's the ability to think or do things differently. The ability to create or recognize ideas. The strength or capacity to invent new objects. The ability to make your imaginations productive. The ability to bring out your hidden capabilities. The ability to catch your ideas before they are gone. *Sighs...* Creativity is creating something out of nothing and creating something out of something. If we look at the story of how **"man"** was created, we'll notice the link between idea and creativity. To create something, an idea must actually be there, and I guess this is what we call or term: **"utilizing one's idea and using it to your benefit."** As worthless as an empty bottle may seem to be. Someone actually used his/her creative mindset, to create that lovely artifact you're looking at in the above picture. It took time before I realized it was mere bottles and their covers. We all know how empty bottles can be used to do different things right. Making of Bangles. Flower vases. Pencil holder. Toy cars. Filter. Broom... *Oh! They are innumerable.* Now, all these sprang from someone's creative mind, I could wake up tomorrow with an idea of recycling a bottle into a bag. In essence, they created something out of something. They didn't just imagine creating it, they worked on their ideas, they made their imaginations productive. *It's one thing to think and it's another thing to act.* Imagine if you were in a classroom and the teacher asks a question, you know the answer but you didn't speak. No one else knew the answer and the teacher assumes that all of you haven't been paying apt attention. You feel bad, to walk in such shoes, especially because you know for a fact that you paid utmost attention to the teachings. Well...it's fine right, you know it, but how do you expect the teacher to actually know that you know it when you refused to act, by speaking up. *Your ideas would die as ideas if they're not creatively implemented.* When God said: **"Let us create man in our own image."** He never said that and went to sleep, he said it and immediately turned that idea into something everyone would see. It's not enough to have an idea, but utilizing it and making something creative out of it, is worthwhile. ***Sometimes we usually say:*** *We are not yet ready, we don't have the connection to start and blow...many of us, with myself included just want to do it once and become famous immediately*. It's always better to start first, I noticed something, once you've started... you're more likely to achieve something. Two scenarios to buttress more. The first scenario. Whenever I want to do the laundry, I'm mostly lazy, lol, I'm among those people that love wearing *"the clothes"* but hate washing them. If I had Powers ehn, one of those powers would be for me to always have clean clothes, it should never ever get dirty, that way, I won't have to wash. *Back to the gist...* Anytime I feel lazy and I know my clothes are dirty, I'm pretty much aware of the need to wash, but to stand up and start washing is a big problem for me. ***I realized this...*** If I get up, get a bucket, put the regular quantity of water, add soap and put the first batch of clothes into it. Trust me... I'll end up washing it. The second scenario is... I just decide that, I'll still wash it, but let me rest first, I'll do it later, later comes, I prolong it to another later, till the day gets dark. I always end up not washing them. The difference between the first and the second scenario is that, in the first scenario, I started, and in the second, I only had the idea to start later on and ended up not starting at all. It's not enough for you to have the idea, start from somewhere... If you aren't seeing connection, connect yourself through your works. Thank goodness, our smartphones plus the internet has made it quite easier for us to advertise ourselves and the things we do. Applications has been created to soothe different things. So **many money making machines** are on Google play store, you just need to search and find them. Create an online presence, be good at what you do and watch how those connections you're looking for would come knocking at your doorstep. The difference between a poor man and a rich man is lack of making use of ideas, lack of creativity, lack of taking advantage of opportunities and a stagnant initiative or mindset. Inability to think big. On Sunday, a person asked a question after the sermon: The Holyspirit told me to go fully into the ministry and the Holyspirit said I shouldn't work, what do I do? The Pastor first laughed, because even **"Jesus Christ"** who should be our role model, worked. The Bible itself, says: **"I'll bless the works of your hands."** He said: Poverty is not the same thing as holiness. The chances of a poor man making heaven is slim, the Bible itself said: **"be fruitful and multiply."** Being holy doesn't mean you should be poor, the Bible itself said: **"A good man must leave inheritance for his children's children."** I'm actually advising myself too, the opportunities are there, but we have refused to see them. *Yes!! We!!...* Lol, you know this statement: "**Preaching what you don't practice**." That's me, and that's one of the reasons why I write some articles I write, I might need it as a reminder when I find out that I'm actually going against my words. Greatfull for read.cash, there are some other apps the man spoke about, freelancing apps. Fiverr. Freelance Upwork. LinkedIn... This is where, thinking or doing things differently comes in. In whatever anyone finds him/herself doing, the ability to do it well and perfectly different from others, is what would single you out for recommendations and connections. You have to do it well, so well, that even the person that gave you the job, would want to recommend you to others, would want to come back; giving you more jobs. **That's where your creativity speaks.** Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

@Ellawrites

Ever wondered why... Early this morning, my mind wandered back to my last semester's exams, there was a time I wrote about the issue I had with a friend of mine, and how we kept arguing; with me constantly repeating that the age of a youth starts from 18 and with her continuously repeating that it's a lie, it starts from the age of 20. Now, during the cause of that argument, there was something she said that I'll never forget, Esther said and I quote: ***You're always acting like you're the most intelligent one amongst us, you always feel like you know it all.*** Honestly speaking, I was so shocked and taken aback by what she said that day, infact, I kept wondering when or the period of time I ever acted intelligent. The reason why my mind wandered... Funny enough, I've always seen Esther as the most intelligent one amongst us, I've always respected her brilliancy, hearing her say that really baffled me. It triggered the inspiration of this article. Ever wondered... I literarily don't know what to call this blog topic, that's why I just left it as ***"ever wondered why."*** Someone you admire and feel is too pretty to talk to, might also feel the same way about you. There's someone who I admired so much, she is actually a girl, I always envisaged talking to her someday, but never knew how to go about it. One day, this girl actually walked up to me and spoke to me, I was beyond shocked, especially after realizing that she also felt the same way about me all along. Funny enough, I'm pretty sure most or rather I say: "some of us would have experienced this particular one." Sometimes, we might feel that someone is actually doing so well and so better than us, we'll secretly be admiring that person and for some, such admiration leads them into the web of jealousy. I've heard of many cases whereby **Mr A** would feel **Mr B** is actually doing so well financially and would secretly want to be like him... ***But guess what?...*** **Mr B** might also feel **Mr A** is doing well financially and also want to be like him. I actually don't know what to call this, but then, it happens alot. For example, Esther's perception about me; acting like I know it all. I honestly couldn't picture it that day, especially because I've always admired Esther's intelligence. ***But... If she could make that statement, does it also mean that she had also been admiring my intelligence?*** Now, that's what I strictly don't know. I've been in situations whereby: ***Me:*** *Oh! The first day I saw you, I wanted so much to talk to you, I loved everything about you, I admired the way you spoke, I loved the way you walked, I loved your dressing, I just so wanted to be a friend of yours.* ***And she'll say:*** *Really?! Honestly, everything you just said is what I felt about you the first day I met you. Anyways, thank goodness we're now close friends.* Ever wondered why.... Sometimes, the friend you're admiring for her unhidden beauty might also be admiring you for yours. Sometimes, the friend you're admiring for his job, might also be wishing he had your kind of job. Sometimes, the friend you're admiring for her unhidden intelligence, might also be seeing you as a very intelligent person. Sometimes the friend you feel is just so beautiful, might also feel you're extremely gorgeous. Sometimes the people you feel like you're not up to their standard, might also feel like they're not up to yours... *And lastly...* Sometimes, the friend you're wishing you were like, might also be wishing (s)he was like you. Just be good to yourself and appreciate your values, you aren't so bad looking neither are you doing so bad. Please can someone tell me what this means, I literally don't understand, I tried sponsoring few people yesterday, they approved it, I received the notification, sent the money to their wallets, but the issue here is that, after sending the money since, it has still been placed on **"pending"** since yesterday. I don't know if it's just me; facing this. **I don't understand what's going on.** ****Apologies:**** To my lovely commentators on my last article, I'm sorry I haven't replied yet, I'll definitely do so tonight and read the articles of those I haven't read yet. Thanks for your constant show of love, care and support. **Don't forget to subscribe to these pages:** @Mekus_rebound , @Auroraviolet, their previous account was spammed, please let's assist in bringing their new accounts back to life. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

@Ellawrites

Issues with me. ***First of, thanks to all my amiable sponsors, subscribers, my wonderful commentators, readers, tippers and mostly to those who asked after me. Thanks for your lovely show of concern.*** I've kinda been absent for over two days now; basically because of weekend stress due to my hectic part-time classes. *After the hours of lecture on Saturday, my brain was too stressed to read with understanding; the articles of my lovely writers, so without understanding what I've read, there's surely no way I'd be able to drop not just a comment, but a reasonable one, talk more of creating my own article. I'm actually a little bit happy that ASUP have decided to put all full-time and part-time students on strike for two weeks. (Partially happy though). Not so happy about that...* *Sighs...* Special appreciation to these two lovely writers on read: @VinceCharlie and @FashTioluwa . Today's blog. I'm one who is highly anti-social, so completely different from my brother; who is actually free, finds it easy to mingle with people and also the boss when it comes to retaining friendship. Making friends... I find it so difficult when it comes to making friends or retaining such friendship. And worst of; I find it strange when a person speaks to me for the first time, talk more; laughs and is just extremely jovial to me at first. There are these ladies in my church, we are all in the same group, one Is named: ***"Oyindamola"*** while the other is named ***"Boluwatife."*** The very first day I set my eyes on them, I had imagined and so dreamt of becoming friends with them, I actually fell so in love with their dressing and their charisma. *But...* I can't, like I just can't walk up to them and strike a long-term conversation. Something happened yesterday and it was quite shocking. During rehearsals, Oyindamola was sharing a particular testimony and Bolu; who sat beside me, laughed and whispered something into my ears, I literally didn't hear her, I only responded with a slight chuckle. Then this question popped into my mind. Really?... Did she just talk to me? Oh my goodness!! Is this a sign?. *I honestly wasn't expecting any conversation from either of them and that might be because I might prolly have an issue with lack of self-confidence.* *Sighs...* *I'm this kind of person that hardly relates with people, and gets so shocked when people, especially pretty ones; come, talking to me.* I stayed in my previous area of residence for 18years, when I was 13years, we had a new neighbor, a family that consisted of their parents and four children, of which, two were girls. I admired these girls and imagined being friends with them someday, but till my family and i relocated, the only words I ever uttered to these girls were: ***"goodmorning, goodafternoon, goodevening and goodnight."*** I always see myself as one kind of not too good looking lady who can't strike a friendly and long-term conversation with others, and when those ***"others"*** come; sticking around, I'll be like... '***Awww, is this really happening?.'*** **This next one is a question though and also something about me.** Does this happen to everyone? In most cases, when we meet a person for the very first time, (s)he tends to act all calm and normal, but after you've finally gotten to know this person so well, you'll surprised at their real interactive nature. (Not something bad, in most cases but something way different from the first day you both met). I'm this kind of person that behaves normally at first. For a guy, you might actually think am tripping for you, with the way I'll just be laughing and talking like someone that is picking her words. For some other guys, I'll be too respectful, literally adding ***"Sir"*** to everything I type or say. And for the ladies, I'll be so humble and calm, slowly observing and looking for ways I can showoff my true nature. But, when I get really close to you, ***sighs...*** you'd be so surprised. *And finally...* Who else does this? When you go to an event, and you don't know anyone there, your friends are not really available, it's just you for yourself. The food is served, it's not takeaway, it's eat and drop the plate. How do you eat? One thing about me is that I find it so difficult to eat in public with the exception of having my friends around. If I'm the only one at that event, I usually eat meals in a way that people who sits close to me, assumes I'm forming. I joined a **Redeem Church** last year, as stated earlier, I find it hard to make friends, most times, if you don't walk up to me, I might not walk up to you, even if I'm dying to be your friend. *Back to the gist...* I was in this church, just attending services, helping them keep their seats warm and going back home. *One day...* They announced that there would be a youth seminar after service, and oh! I love attending seminars. I stayed behind, after service and assisted them in arranging the tables. They arranged the tables and chairs exactly the way it is in the picture above, after about an hour later, people started trooping in. We sat on the chairs and the seminar began. *Now...* ...since the tables and chairs were arranged in a dining room kind of setting, of course, that means there would be lots of goodies to eat. The ushers started placing groundnuts and sweets on each tables. The problem here was that, they didn't place it like: ***"one per person,"*** but they just poured lots of sweets into a plate, lots of groundnuts into another plate and they placed both plates on each table. It was: ***"eat as you like, just pick sweets or groundnuts and throw it into your mouth."*** I was so famished that day, the people sitting beside me, were just picking sweets from the plate and licking, packing groundnuts and munching and I was there practicing how I'll stretch my hand to pick atleast; one sweet. My dear readers, I couldn't... I just sat there, so hungry, I had to go purchase a sausage roll to eat. People from different tables, came to join us on ours, cause they saw that our sweets were still very much plenty. So they actually came to help us lick the sweets, since we've proven to be so slow at finishing them. One guy who came to join us collected my number afterwards and guess what he told me?. **He said and I quote:** You couldn't lick those sweets, you were forming because of me right? **In my mind, I was like:** Guy!!! Really, it takes grace for me to fall for a guy to the extent of forming for him. But then, I couldn't blame him, it actually seemed like I was forming. It was then I started wishing... **Me:** aaah, if I knew just one person in that place ehn, or if I had a friend there, oh gosh!! The way I would have packed sweets and groundnuts ehn, you people would be wondering how many stomachs I actually have. ***Thing here is that:*** *Is this normal? Do I have any reader here, who finds it difficult to eat in public when you don't know anybody there?* *Or do I just have to work on myself?* ****New sponsor:**** I should have done this quite earlier, especially since I got this notification, three days ago. Thanks alot @NiceAYO for counting me worthy enough to be sponsored, I love and won't take this kindness of yours for granted. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

I've always wondered what it'll be like for one who is journeying to a particular place, to divert and move to a completely and totally different destination. *Here it is...* Most times when I'm in a commercial bus heading to a particular place... ...and I see a person highlighting from the bus, I keep wondering if I can also highlight with them, that feeling of telling the bus driver that I'm stopping there, but then... I have a destination, if I stop at someone else's destination... It's either I pass through the stress of looking for another commercial bus, or I end up getting lost. Worst still, I might also end up getting late to my own destination. ***Before I proceed:*** *Let's use few seconds of our time to admire my lovely sponsors, you should check them out, and I bet their top-notch articles would lead you to clicking on the* ***"subscribe button"*** `My amiable sponsors.` What is destination? ...an act of appointing, setting aside for a purpose, or predetermining. ...the place to which someone or something is going or being sent. Wikipedia You and your best friend might be in the same bus; heading home, and you both were gisting on a very important topic, do tell; does that mean that when your bestfriend gets to her busstop, she'll stay back because of the gist?? Definitely no. She has a place she's going to and you also have yours. *Just as we have our various destination when we're in a bus or on the road, that's the same way we have our various destination in life.* I'm someone who loves strolling alot, so there was this boyfriend of mine, and by boyfriend; I mean: **"a boy as a friend."** Whenever i try cajoling him to stroll out with me. There's a question he usually ask. **Him:** Stroll with you to where? Where are we strolling to? *And I'll be like...* **Me:** Nowhere nau, we'll just stroll to that end, come back, stroll to that other end, pass this route and come back. **Him:** So we'll just be walking up-and-down, with no destination or direction?...see ehn, if you don't have a specific place we are going to stroll to, then let's just sit on this covet here and talk, when we are through, we'll go home. From that short dialogue, you'll observe that my boyfriend actually never liked moving round in circles, there should be an exact place we're going to. ***Disclaimer:*** *Don't get me wrong though, I'm not saying that; strolling around is actually a bad idea, but I'm just trying to use that context to explain the topic for today's blog.* *Everyone has different destination in life, we all have what we were created to do.* That I have a twin brother, doesn't mean we are going to work in the same organization, or get married to twins from the same family. We just need to focus on our own future, not being swayed by the prosperity of others in their own field. *Omo... Ingrid is a multi-billionaire and it's because she's an accountant ooh, ah, let me also study accounting, so that I'll start earning and spending money like her.* ***When we know our destination, we won't stop at other people's bus-stops.*** Most people love doing things because their friends are doing them. *Oh, Biola is in science class, let me join science class too.* *Fiona wants to be a footballer, let me also join.* *Rachel is my best friend, and she wants to be a chef, let me also learn and be like her...* *Stop it please...* Know your destination in life, have a plan, have a goal you're set to achieve, don't do things because your friend is doing it. Do things because it's what you love and have passion for. ***Remember this.*** ***...Worst still I might also end up getting late to my own destination.*** It simply means that; when you copy the lifestyle of others, instead of doing what you are ordained to do, you might just end up prolonging issues and at the end, you'll still fall back into what you are meant to do, but it might not be as interesting as you; getting to know and do it early enough. Because your dad is an engineer, doesn't mean you'll be an engineer as well, if you don't have passion for engineering...you might as well never succeed in that line of business. *I know of a girl whose parents wanted her to be a lawyer, she had to study it no matter how much she tried, five years in the University plus all the months of strikes...she finally graduated.* *The girl is presently a fashion designer and she's making her cool cash, her parents forced her to study law, and the certificate is presently not of use to the girl, and that's because; being a lawyer was never her destination, she nrver had passion for it*. ***Don't forget to subscribe to these lovely writers page, if you've not:*** @Mekus_rebound @Auroraviolet Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. When I heard their problems... I actually don't publish by this time of the day, but what can one do when one's phone battery is low and there's just no means to charge it? Special apologies: This goes to the lovely writers who commented on my previous article, I'm very sorry I haven't replied yet, I'll definitely do justice to them, once my phone is fully charged. Also to those writers who publishes their articles at night and whose articles i constantly read, like, upvote and leave a comment, I'm really sorry, my battery was totally low. Today's blog. Feeding. I once complained of having to eat two meals a day, but when I saw a family begging on the street just to have a meal, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. Clothing. I remember the moment I thought that my life is just so bad because I could count the clothes I had, but when I saw a family that wore rags, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. Transportation. Those days when I envied those who had cars, I rebuked my parents for not working enough; so hard that it might have earned them a car, but when I saw the feet of a little boy all soiled and almost peeling off due to the hours of walk he had under the sun, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. Marriage. I was still single at the age of 35, I felt God wasn't doing enough, my mates were already married and here I was; fighting for a man to look my way, but when I saw a bride who lost her husband few weeks into their marriage, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. Childlessness. When I finally got married at the age of 37, it was hard to conceive, two years into the marriage, yet no issue, I was clouded with worries and anxiety, I questioned my faith, but when I saw a married woman whose faith was unwavering after 18years of marriage without children, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. Joblessness. I complained so much, when I had no job to fend for myself, the one I had wasn't paying enough, yet my mates were all abroad, but when I saw a lady of my age bracket, hawking under the scorching sun, with so much smiles on her face, I retraced myself and humbled myself. Child birth and child death. I gave birth but lost my child when my child was just 2weeks old, I cried and stopped believing, but when I heard of a woman who lost her child and lost her life during the process of giving birth, I retraced my steps and I humbled myself. Shelter. I complained of living in a house that's not big enough, I was ashamed of where I stayed, I felt so bad because I stayed in a room and shared the toilet and bathroom with other tenants, but when I saw a family sleeping under the bridge, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. Accident. There was a fire outbreak in the house where I lived, I lost all my properties but still had my life and that of my family, I couldn't get myself, I cried and lamented, I felt like it was all over for me, but when I saw a newly wedded couple who were also victims of the fire outbreak; dead and burnt beyond recognition, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. And those days I'll cry to sleep, telling God; I was tired of life, the suffering was too much, but when I saw the dead; one who was way younger than I was, decayed and smelling, I realized: "I have my life to be thankful for." I didn't have food to eat for the whole day, I got lost and habored hatred towards everyone who came by, but when I saw a person struggling to feed and poo, eating through a pipe, I retraced my steps and humbled myself. This made me remember, the song we sang when I was smaller: ***Some have food, but cannot eat.*** ***Some can eat, but have no food.*** ***We have food and we can eat.*** ***Glory be to thee oh Lord.*** ***Truly they say:*** ***One would think one's problem is actually big until one hears the kind of problems other people are facing.*** *When I heard their problems, I realized mine was as tiny as a mustard seed; compared to theirs.* *When I heard their problems, I realized my life was enough to be thankful for.* *When I heard their problems, I cried and wept cause I realized I've always been an ingrate.* *When I heard their problems, in my sober heart and with my weeping eyes, I knelt down and remembered all the good things that exceeded the bad things in my life.* *When I heard their problems....oh when I heard it all...I raised my hands to the sky, begging God to forgive my unbelief, I became grateful for all I had.* ****Sponsorship renewal:**** it's one thing to have a sponsor and it's another thing for that sponsorship to be renewed, thanks an hearty lot to @Talon for the sponsorship renewal. The baby again?!. *Sighs...* Being married is a thing of joy, especially when one gets married to the right person, but for most couples if not all: "conceiving and bearing a child adds more salt into their homes and by salt, I mean beauty, taste and spices. Just like the meals we eat, when you don't put salt in your meal, just expect to eat something utterly tasteless. For some women, their first trimester during pregnancy can be quite burdensome, I've heard of women that would suddenly love the smell of chalk, I've heard of another; that would actually beg her husband to iron clothes, only because she loves the smell of ironed clothes, there are some women that find it difficult to eat their own food during pregnancy, if they eat the food they cooked, they throw up easily. Worst still; I've even heard of a woman who finds it quite difficult to eat proper food during pregnancy. Anytime she eats, she ends up stooling or throwing up, so she had to resolve into just the intake of "icecream, water, juice..." during the period she conceived. Different pregnant women, with different ways it triggers them into suddenly being allergic to some meals or things, and getting to love some weird things or maybe not; for some. For today's blog, I'll be writing about a not too fictional event or rather I say; story. The baby again?! Just like the writer has written in the first paragraph; being married is a thing of joy if married to the right person. Flora and Dave had been married for five years ever since their not so elaborate wedding when Flora was 27. All hopes and cry out to get pregnant proved futile, but after five years into the marriage, Flora conceived... ***Oh yeah, she took in, somebody shout Yaaay!!!.*** It wasn't quite easy for Flora and her hubby during this period, especially during her first trimester. Flora suddenly developed allergies to some certain types of food, she started selecting meals. Flora could eat party jollofrice today and lick her mouth in satisfaction, but In the next day, Flora would eat it again and suddenly start stooling or vomiting. **Flora:** Oh honey, could you get me Amala on your way back from work? Amala with goat meat was the only sure food, Flora hardly developed distaste for, anytime, any day, give her this meal and she'll kneel down to render you an eulogy. Flora; during her pregnancy, had to quit work, especially because the teaching job she was doing was draining her energy, one thing about Flora's body was that, Everytime she over works herself, she gets so lean. She could be really plumpy today, but you could see her so skinny tomorrow. Once you see her this way, just know that she has stressed herself with work. The doctor told Flora to actually be on bed rest, till he says otherwise, during her pregnancy too, Flora couldn't climb bikes, else it would affect the stability of her pregnancy, she also couldn't eat salad; which was actually her favorite meal back in the days of her single and early married life. Truth is; if she had mistakenly eaten salad during the period when her pregnancy was just weeks old, she would have had a **"miscarriage"** Now, why did I say that?. ***Exactly!!...***I said so because, Flora ate salad during the stage when her pregnancy was six month old, she ate it with rice at a party and guess what?. She stooled that night, like never before, infact the stooling was so heavy to the extent that it actually made her once big stomach reduce in size. For someone who is six month into the pregnancy, one would think there's no baby in her womb. Stooling isn't good at all during pregnancy. **Flora:** Oh honey, I feel like eating jollofrice, the one they cook in parties or ceremonies. **Dave:** Oh Flora! Where do you expect me to get party jollofrice so early this morning? You can cook jollofrice in the house and eat **Flora:** (sad, and speaks with a goofy face) the baby doesn't want homemade jollofrice, it's party jollofrice the baby wants. **Dave:** (exhausted) how do you know what the baby wants? Where do you expect me to get party jollofrice this morning? Do you expect me to start going to streets; looking for where they are doing party? Make do with what is in the house please or change your choice of meal. *The next day...* **Flora:** Honey, I'm not feeling too well, the baby has been kicking since midnight, I stood up, danced, walked around, sat, laid down and did all sorts but still yet, he wouldn't let me rest. Another day... **Flora:** Honey please get me shawarma on your way back from work. **Dave:** okay dear, I would. *He's back...* *Dave gives Flora the shawarma, she thanks him happily as she collects it, but immediately she opens it, she suddenly feels like puking...* **Dave:** Again!!!... Flora!!! Again!!!! **Flora:** (with a goofy face) don't blame me nau, the baby doesn't want shawarma again, the baby wants to eat rice, white rice and there should not be stew inside, just white rice. **Dave:** the baby this...the baby that, okay ooh, let me go and boil "**WHI**te rice." (**'Whi'** is written in blocked form to show the empathic stress on **"Whi...te"**) *Few minutes later...* *Food is ready, somebody say Yaaay!!!.* **Flora:** (perceives the aroma of the white rice immediately it was served and suddenly rushes to throw up in the toilet) **Dave:** (screams) again!!!! Arrgh Flora, Again!!!, What exactly do you want to eat, madam? **Flora:** (washing her mouth, she speaks from the bathroom) it's the baby ooh, the baby wanted white rice before, I don't know what happened all of a sudden. **Dave:** (confused and frustrated) The baby again!!!... *Disclaimer:* ***Just like I said, this story is not so fictional, most parts are real events, while some were just added as a figment of the writer's imagination.*** ***The writer had watched most of the written scenes play out, so let's just say, this is like a biography of someone's pregnancy stage.*** ***The writer didn't write this for all, some pregnant women hardly ever have issues during any of their trimesters. So this write-up isn't generalizing all pregnant women***. *Respect mothers, most of them went through tough times in bringing up their children.* ****Renewal:**** It's one thing to get sponsored by someone and it's another thing for that sponsorship to be renewed. Transfer of aggression. Today's blog topic is one that we are conversant with. I'm pretty sure most of us would have surely acted this way to others of rather I say; been a witness or a victim to someone who has acted, or usually acts this way. *Okay, so then what is transfer of aggression?* **Transfer of aggression could also be called displaced aggression.** *In displaced aggression, an aggressive behavior is directed at a person or other target (e.g., a pet) that is not the source of the aggression arousing provocation or frustration.* *Displaced aggression occurs when it is impossible or unwise to respond aggressively toward the source of the provocation or frustration.* Wikipedia I'm sure we've all been in this situation before or better still, some of us acts this way at times, skip the "some of us part," let me come out plainly: I have actually found myself acting this way on most occasions, I'm someone who has terrible anger issues, and there's a point whereby I'll just want to download all my frustrations on someone, but since the orchestrator of my frustration isn't available... I tend to talk angrily to myself instead; cursing, hissing, crying... Ooh! All form of negative emotions you could think of. *Now the problem here is that:* If you mistakenly...I used the word "mistakenly" because of the outcome. If you mistakenly call me or come to meet me during this process, there's a great possibility that I'll transfer such aggression to you. One amongst my thousand experiences. I was angry about what someone did to me on that particular day, I was so angry...I started talking harshly to myself, cursing and hissing, shouting and remembering. My phone rang, I saw the caller's ID, it was my twin... I decided not to pick, especially because I knew he was calling me because of the issue that triggered my anger. But then...it rang again and boom!! I picked. **Me:** (shouts angrily) Hello!!! What happened?!! **My twin:** Wait, is it me you're talking to like that? **Me:** (cuts in rudely) Wo, say what you want to say, I'm listening. **My twin:** It's fine, goodbye...(hangs up) There's one thing about my twin, of anything... He hates when he's being spoken rudely to, especially not from me. That particular day, right after he hung up, it was as if the anger was suddenly wiped off, I felt immediately sober and started calling and calling him... Nah, my twin didn't pick, he picked after the fourth ring and trust me, his tone wasn't nice at all. Most people, due to either frustration or an annoyance that arrived from the way their boss behaved or prolly; any their colleagues at work, when they get finally home; They start shouting at anyone who comes in their way. They become suddenly irritated with the slightest mistake. The tinniest mistake triggers more provocation and trust me... they won't fail to actually lash out their annoyance in a more annoying way... Now, how can one actually deal with displaced aggression? Words are seeds, if not careful, it could kill. It's easy to say "sorry" but it's terribly hard to make the person forget those negative and bad words you said towards them, so in essence: "think before you speak." Only speak or lay out your concerns or emotions when you're calm. You could also take some time out, just for you to properly get back your sanity. Learn to forgive the person that actually caused the aggressive mishap. You could also make use of humor, you could listen to music, see a movie, flip through pictures, watch a comedy skit, try to say funny things yourself, infact you could just laugh out loud... Do things that is soothing enough to reduce the boiling tension you feel. You could also take a deep breath, lol... I learnt this helps too. Transfer of aggression isn't really nice, we tend to shout or talk rudely to people that don't even have an idea as to where our anger orchestrated from. Sighs... New sponsor: An hearty thanks to @Jumper-01 for the sponsorship, I appreciate this and won't take it for granted. ****Special announcement:**** I really don't know how it feels, I'm not sure I'll be able to cope, but it happened to him, his previous account was spammed, I really don't know how, neither do I know why, but oh! How happy I'll be if you follow his new account... @Mekus_rebound , he's a lovely writer, who loves and supports other writers and trust me, his articles are top-notch. Three questions to my readers. I was completely surprised when I learnt that yesterday; **"8th May, 2022"** was another day slated out to celebrate our mothers, I'm guessing we'll still see and hear more about mother's day. To all the lovely mothers on this great platform and to all the mothers all over the world, not excluding the wannabe mothers and the ladies: *"Happy Mothers Day"* Before I proceed: My sponsors are gems, I love them and I really appreciate their lovely show of support, having people with great and dexterous writing skills, to support me is an achievement I won't ever take for granted. Cheers to my beautiful and amazing sponsors. Today's blog. Questions for my readers. During **PCS's** class, People Communication Skills. The lecturer engaged her students in a discussion, and by ***"students,"*** I was inclusive, it was based on different things and how to address colleagues and bosses in an office, I'll be writing on what she asked and the examples the students gave from their experiences. She asked this question***: How do you maintain a good rapport with a colleague that has chosen to be a terrible issue to you in your workplace?*** A student stood up and narrated her experience. When I was an SSC (senior secondary school certificate) holder, I was teaching in a big school as a class teacher, the organization brought in a BSC (bachelor of science) holder to be my assistant teacher, which was because; some schools deal mostly with the number of years one has, as an experience in the teaching field. This lady was a class teacher and you know; as a class teacher, she's entitled to give instructions to the assistant class teacher, well she couldn't and that was because she felt it would look irrational to give instructions to someone who was not only older than her in age, but also older in certificate and qualification. In her words: I found it really hard to give her instructions, but I expected her to know her duties, this lady never assisted me in class, not in awarding marks on the scholars' notes, not in feeding, not in doing anything... There was a day I asked her to please help me out with marking, I was so tired that day, I was expecting her to help, but unfortunately she surprised me when she said: *"I can't help you ooh, I thought you usually feel like you're the only one, ehn, go ahead and do it yourself, I'm not doing it."* It went on and on till it was time for parents to come and check out their children's performances. If you've taught before, you'll know that most teachers love such days. Generous parents tend to gift hardworking teachers with ***"cash, soap, food and just any other goodies."*** The parents gave this **SSC holder** alot of goodies, but the issue here was that: This **SSC holder** gave nothing to her assistant teacher, because she felt her assistant was just being too lazy and irrational. She felt it was time to pay her back for all her wrong doing. The assistant class teacher went home with nothing... ***Now the question here is, do you think the class teacher(SSC holder) did the right thing?*** ***What do you think would have made the assistant teacher(BSC holder) act in such irrational way; refusing to assist the class teacher in taking care of the scholars, and attending to their needs?*** And after debating on these questions, some people supported the ***SSC holder***, while others felt the ***BSC holder*** shouldn't have been treated in such way, especially because the ***BSC holder*** had more qualifications than the ***SSC holder***. Infact some people went as far as saying that, the school should never had put a ***BSC holder*** under the supervision of an ***SSC holder***. In their words: ***"it's professionally wrong."*** The next question was quite brief, infact it was given to us as an assignment. It stated: You're an office manager, you're in the office and your boss; being a man, is inside his own personal office with his girlfriend and he gave you an instruction that: ***"no one should come into his office,"*** suddenly the wife walked in, and the usual manner of the wife when she comes into the office is for her to walk straight to the husband's office without taking permission from the office manager. ***As the office manager, what would you do?.*** Well, to me though, I'll stop the wife and tell her that her hubby is in a meeting, or I'll stop her and make sure she doesn't have access into my boss's office and that's because, it was an order from my boss, and he clearly stated that he didn't want anyone to come into his office. What would you do? ****New sponsor:**** I got a new sponsor today, her name is @Bibijani01 . I'm really grateful for your sponsorship, dear readers, please do check out her page, you'll definitely love what you see, trust me. Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

This or that, sleep time edition. Stress. *It could actually shutdown one's thinking faculty.* My readers would by now be familiar with the fact that I actually attend classes on Saturday's and Sunday's, Saturday's; most especially, could be really tedious and stressful for me. I'm not always engaging so well on the lovely articles of my readers, commentators, subscribers... amongst all others. I just really hope you'll bear with me. I have a topic in mind, but to actually reason it out, and draft out the content, is quite impossible, due to fatigue. Luckily for me, I read a lovely article from @Jumper-01's page today, it really cracked me up, lol, especially the part where he stated his love for **fan**, and how he loves it still; even if he has catarrh. You should check it out through this link https://read.cash/@Jumper-01/this-or-thatsleep-time-edition-05c8818c Here's mine. Light on or light off? I can actually sleep in any of these conditions, during my growing years, I always slept in dark rooms, and that also was because of the poor power supply in my previous place of residence. Of recent though, I suddenly grew to love sleeping when the light is on, but if there's no light, I could still easily sleep. This made me remember a story of a married couple, who had this issue on their wedding night, the wife couldn't sleep when the light is on, and the husband couldn't sleep when the light is off. This led to a terrible quarrel on their wedding night, no one was willing to compromise or make sacrifices for the other. Light or heavy sleeper? It actually depends, if I'm not too stressed, I could easily be awoken by the slightest sound. But when I'm so stressed and tired, I sleep really heavily, I also talk in my sleep whenever I'm too tired, and lol, sometimes I go as far as snoring*. (My course mates told me this).* This question made me remember my twin brother, I remember back in those days, the best time to ask him for something was when he was heavily asleep. ***I'll be like...*** **Me:** Should I take that money in your box? **And he'll reply absentmindedly:** Ooh! Stop disturbing me! Take it. **I'll smile and say:** okay, thank you. Then when he wakes up the following morning and sees that his money is missing, he'll ask me if I took it, whenever I tell him I did and he was the one who asked me to, he'll ask: "when!!" Lol... Whenever I tell him, it was when he was asleep. He'll give me a Stern warning... *Don't ever ask me for anything when I'm asleep.* Fan or no fan? Honestly, I don't like fan, I know I once wrote about hyperhidrosis and how It terribly embarrasses me at times... But... Still I don't like fan. Anyways, I'm someone who easily adapts to things, I can sleep with fan and I can also sleep without fan. The only time when I'll desperately need a fan, is when the heat is just too much, to the extent that it gets my foam soaked with perspiration. One or several pillows? This should be quite plain, I don't use pillows, but I could still adapt to making use of pillows anytime, any day. Early in bed or late sleeper? I could be an early in bed sleeper and I could also be a late in bed sleeper, it all depends on me. If I didn't take a nap in the afternoon, it means nature would call on me; quite early. And if there's no light, I'll definitely sleep early. I do enjoy sleeping late when there's light, I could easily watch educative videos on YouTube, drill, and also, I'm mostly inspired at night. Thin or thick blanket? Lol, I don't use blankets, but I could also adapt to using it. Pj or comfy clothes? I love PJ clothes, but since I have none, I sleep in comfy clothes, but whenever the perspiration is unbearable for me, i prefer sleeping without clothes and with a blanket. Drink water or milk ? Just like @Jumper-01 , I tend to wake up during midnight hours; to actually take a sip of water. For milk, lol, naaah, far from it, but I can also adapt to that too, yunno. That's all for my this or that sleep time edition. ****Renewal:**** *It's one thing to be sponsored and it's another thing for that sponsorship to be renewed, my hearty gratitude to* @Aimure *, thanks alot for your love and support.* ***Apologies:*** *I'm really sorry dear readers, I haven't been able to reply to your lovely comments on my previous article, and I didn't really engage in yours today. My day was indeed so stressful, I hope to make it up to you all; unfailingly tomorrow.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

@Ellawrites

It could be hard at first. With double minds, having to weigh my plans for this month, and for the year as a whole, I can't help but feel mentally stressed. **Having mixed feelings; in which one says:** *Can you actually do this? You should perhaps just forget about it and rest off till prolly next year, after all; there's still time.* **And the other says:** *You should give it a try, put in more efforts and keep thriving to be better than your former self.* And here comes my brain; fighting with so much things that needs to be done. Sometimes I do wish life was indeed a fairytale, prolly at the snap of my fingers, and with little or no stress, things would just take its' toll. But nay... Especially for people like me; whose parents haven't erected a foundation for, we just need to keep grinding till we can finally relax a bit and put in less stress. That moment, when you'll be feeling so lazy to do things, when you'll be feeling drowsy, that wanting; you get to just take a nap for like the whole day... But reality suddenly dawns on you, you jerk up from your idle imaginations and get back to work. *Sighs...* For today's blog, I'll be explaining the concept of a poem I wrote few months back. It's titled "Ordeal." Many days, singing many songs. **Many days;** refers to different seasons in a year, different days, weeks, months and even different years. **Many songs;** refers to the various or different kinds/types of work the persona was involved in. Playful are some, dancing with the sun. It's quite plain, the persona was happy with this particular work, even though the work was really tedious and stressful, even though he wasn't really satisfied with the job he had. Singing lullabies in mysteries A lullaby is a soothing song, a quiet song used to lure children to sleep. In this poem, what the poet is trying to portray is that, even in the midst of the stress and tedious works, the persona was still trying to soothe himself with words that would calm his nerves, words of hope, faith, words of belief; that tomorrow would be better. Mystery is something that's strange. The persona was found encouraging himself even in strange circumstances. Stanza two. Many days, singing many songs. Still the same meaning, this is just a repetition to the first line in stanza one. But it brought me deeper; not into fun. Now, this line is practically showing how the persona is slowly and gradually giving up. It completely shows now that, the persona became so unhappy with his work. Sorrowful are some, weeping with the rain. Here, the persona is displaying his utmost sadness and distress towards life and the work he does. Rain should be a sign of harvest right? Raining season is the best time to plant crops. But here, the persona wasn't patient anymore, he was tired of life. Singing lullabies is history. *Sighs...* The persona has completely given up on soothing himself, he stopped encouraging himself. Oh yeah, those encouragements are now things of the past. Lost faith, lost hope, no belief for a better tomorrow. Stanza three. Many days, singing many songs. Still the same meaning, a repetition of the first lines in stanza one and two. Many songs; have I sung. Remember I said; "song" in this poem, means "work" **Many songs; have I sung,** simply means the persona had done or engaged in different kinds/types of works. Singing happy songs; I sing not. *Sighs...* Simply put, the persona never found a good and soothing work to obtain satisfaction from, the persona never got to be really happy in all, or any of the works he engaged in. *And it was at this moment, the writer dropped her pen.* ****Congratulations:**** So yesterday, I got a notification that my views on read.cash has reached 2501. Go on your kneels. ***Go on your kneels and speak*** ***Close your eyes and cry out.*** ***Trust me, prayer works.*** The term ***"go on your kneels"*** simply means ***"to pray."*** Prayer is one of the hardest things to actually comply to. In the midst of tribulations, we worry too much instead of going on our kneels. What prayer entails. Prayer is a way of communicating with God, we have different categories of prayers. We have the one of supplication We have the one of thanksgiving We have the one of request We have the one of intercession We have the one of confession... All these prayers are very much important to us in our day to day living. Most people find it difficult to run; thanking God when he does something really special to us, we only go; running to him when we're in need of something. That ***"most people"*** Is me. It has been tested and trusted, that prayer actually works. There are stages in one's life where things would be so tough, you'll keep wondering where it all went wrong, and instead of ***praying***, we end up ***worrying.*** **Stormed** by Ella Mike-Bamiloye. This lady was married to a pastor, she was actually doing all good and fine in her marriage, but things fell apart. The once rosy marriage, became a marriage filled with complains and pains. A lady started seducing her husband, and instead of her to pray about it; for God to reconnect her husband back to her, she decided to fight physically, crying and lamenting over her husband's sudden change of character, she was nudged so many times to go on her kneels and table out her request to God in the place of prayer, but she ignored and kept battling herself and troubling her heart, believing that it would all change someday. It actually didn't, as she went deeper and more deeper into the pit of sin, just because she kept seeking for ways to get her hubby connected back to her. It ended well though, one thing led to another and the married lady was able to free her hubby from the bondage he was in. From the story above, she wouldn't have had to go through alot, if she had gone on her kneels sooner. Don't quote me wrong, I'm not saying we should pray and keeping praying, without working hard to be better people... God blesses the works of our hands, but we still need to pray to wear the garments of divine successes, breakthroughs, turnarounds... Do you remember this song?, I remember singing and humming to it when I was quite young... ***Prayer is the key,*** ***Prayer is the key,*** ***Prayer is the master key,*** ***Jesus started with prayers and ended with prayers,*** ***Prayer is the master key.*** 1st Thessalonians 5:17 : Pray without ceasing. It doesn't have to be loud, it doesn't have to be when you are alone... You could pray while walking on the road. You could pray in a bus. You could pray in the classroom. You could pray in the market. You could pray in the bathroom. You can literally pray anywhere... *But just... Cultivate the habit of prayer.* *Believe me, it works.* God is too faithful to leave his own, he'll never cease to grant you your request, only if it's not what would take you away from him. As we all know, he's a jealous God, and that's the more reason why; when he finally blesses us, we should still learn to acknowledge him. Most of us run to God only when the going gets tough and rough. But when things are Rosy, we forget our source. A person who prays and plans is always a step ahead of the person who plans, but doesn't pray. Prayer goes ahead of you to fulfill your requests. It's better to cry to God than to cry to mere men. God would compel men to bless you, without you even asking them. Have you been in a situation whereby someone would just walk up to you and say: I felt the need to give you this, The Holyspirit told me to sow this seed. Or you'll be stranded and you'll suddenly pray to God to provide a person that would foot your transport bill. You enter commercial bus and then boom!, You see someone you've not met for a long time, you both exchange pleasantries and the person is like: ***don't worry, I've already paid your fare to the bus-conductor.*** The devil knows the essence of prayers, that's why it sometimes seem so hard for us to pray... ***But...*** ***Prayer truly works, so go on your kneels and pray.*** Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

He proposed!!. I woke up that morning, feeling so tired and stressed out due to the level of work my body got engaged in, the previous day. Just between; struggling with an opened and closed eyes, my phone rang. I looked at the caller's ID and a curvy smile formed on my face. I picked it. **Him:** Goodmorning Princess, I figured you'd be awake. Hope you slept well? **Me:** Awwn, so thoughtful of you to call me this early, I did sleep well and you? **Him:** Oh yes darling, I did... ***You know what readers?. Let's scrap that and delve right in.*** The story. Destiny and I, have been together for five years; ever since I graduated from the University of Ibadan. We actually met for the very first time on my sign out day, and ever since then, our admiration for each other grew each passing day. Destiny called me unusually today to ask me out on a fancy dinner date with him. He clearly stated that I should dress in my best outfit... Best outfit... Whoosh! Oh! I could only imagine how lovely tonight would be. I immediately called my close friends, we went to the mall to pick up a dress, I preferably love color blue, there's this sparkle it gives whenever I put it on. So then, blue it was. I was so ecstatic at the feeling of what plans Destiny had. I had a gut feeling that he was going to propose... Let's hear what Destiny has to say. *Destiny:* *She's is all I want in a woman, she's a good cook, she's smart and hardworking, she's respectful, she's curvy. oh! I love her smiles, she's intelligent, she's a really good housekeeper, she's very neat and one thing I love the most about her Is that: Imelda can never be caught unfresh.* *Oh! Buddy, she's my real kind of woman, my spec, extremely gorgeous, she's all I ever want in a woman, I love and want to spend the rest of me with her.* Here's what I have to say. *Me:* *Destiny Is all I want in a man, he's sweet, loving, caring, he's so handsome, he's a good listener, he's calm and he's always there to hear me out, he calls Everytime, he never fails to tell me his whereabouts as the clock ticks, he's neat, he's a good cook, he's hardworking, he's smart, he tells me everything and isn't secretive, he doesn't keep late nights,he understands all my love languages...* *Oh!, Gosh! Destiny is just so perfect. I love him, I really do and oh yes! I'm ready to spend the rest of me with him, he's all I ever wanted in a man.* Just as predicted. Destiny asked the question during the dinner date. **Destiny:** Would you marry me? **Me:** (giggling in excitment) Oh Destiny, I desperately would! **Me:** (Aside) who wouldn't marry Destiny? Oh! I'd be cursed a fool if I had declined. We are married! The best day of my life was finally here, oh, the joy, the gladness that filled my heart as I walked down the aisle with the one I chose to spend my ***"forever"*** with, this was indeed the best day of my life... Our wedding night, oh! You don't say, it was all I envisaged, from the beginning to the end of it, all of it...all of it. It was all sweet and lovely during the first and the second month, I loved and cherished every bit of it, from the morning kisses to the goodnight kisses, from breakfast in bed to seeing a movie together. I guess I was still trying to adapt and he was also trying to adapt to living with the love of his life. We were all loved up in a teenage kind of way. I was still looking like his spec and he was still looking like mine. I felt so much heat in my head, but still never took off my wig. Then one day, he was shocked to the extreme and that was because I finally decided to feel at home. **Destiny:** *(wakes up, wanting to give a morning kiss and looks at me, suddenly gets shocked by what he sees, jumps up abruptly and screams)* What!!! Imelda!!, What is this? Where the hell is your hair? **Me:** (yawns from sleep) Oh, Goodmorning honey, hope you slept well? **Destiny:** Oh! There's nothing good about this morning, where's your goddam hair? **Me:** (surprised) oh! You mean my wig? **Destiny:** I don't care about what it's called, but where's the hair I have always seen on you? **Me:** (sighs) common honey, stop making a fuss out of it, I'll put it on after I take a shower okay... **Destiny:** (disgusted) this is not the lady I married, you had better get that wig on, before I get back (he walks out of the room)... And that day marked the beginning of it all... All I saw when we were dating was what Destiny showed to me, and I guess all he saw was what I showed him. Ever since that fateful day, Destiny suddenly changed, breakfast in bed stopped, goodmorning and goodnight kisses stopped, seeing movies together suddenly became obsolete. Everything just changed. I suddenly felt like going back home, I suddenly missed my single life, I suddenly wanted to be out of his life. I just couldn't be natural anymore, it seems Destiny preferred me; being artificial, he doesn't like me when I'm not on makeups, he detests me whenever my wig is off, he always wants to see me in skimpy dresses and worst still: ***"Destiny wasn't ready to have a child, even after two years of being married to him."*** *Destiny:* *She suddenly changed, I thought she was neat and respectful, but these days, she leaves the house unkempt sometimes, she nags alot.* *Infact, there was a time, Imelda urinated in the toilet and forgot to flush... Who the hell does that?.* *Oh! No! I was completely and totally wrong, getting married to her was definitely the biggest mistake I'll surely regret for a lifetime*. Me: *Destiny suddenly changed, I don't know why he gets so upset with me over trivial things, this is definitely not the man I married, no, he can't be the one... He suddenly started keeping late nights.* *Things he never did when we were courting, are the things he does often. I'm tired, I'm tired of this bondage called marriage. Which kind of man wouldn't want to have a child till after six years of marriage? I mean who does that?* *Okay see, the other day, I forgot to flush the toilet, he came out and started nagging, he even went as far as calling me a pig, for heaven's sake; a pig!!!. Now, what stopped him from just helping me out to actually flush, huh, tell me. He doesn't give me breakfast in bed anymore.* *Guess what, at times... Destiny won't even sleep on our matrimonial bed, he'll sleep in the guest room.* *Where did I go wrong? Do tell? We've slept so many times harboring malice in our hearts.* *I'm tired! Ah! Oti sunmi!. I don't want anymore, if this is what marriage looks like, then it's definitely not for me.* Sighs... If you ask me, well I think Destiny and Imelda got it all wrong from the beginning, they both had a wrong concept of marriage, they forgot that "worse" and only remembered the "better." There's more to marriage, than cuddles and kisses, in marriage, there'll be disagreements, tantrums, there'll be times to go on your kneels and pray, interceding massively for your family, they'll be times when you'll need to sit together and communicate your flaws to eachother. Love is blind, but marriage would open your eyes. Pastor Adeboye Great relationships isn't when a perfect couple comes together, but when an imperfect couple learns to respect and enjoy each other's differences. Coined from a movie the writer watched. *Disclaimer: This story is fictional and just a figment of the writer's imagination.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.

Give more, expect less. *To give, means to:* freely transfer the possession of (something) to (someone). Wikipedia. My ever supportive sponsors, I do love and appreciate you all. It's no news that most people fall into depression and become subjected to pain, because they expected too much from people, especially from those people they have once given to **Life isn't fair.** It's actually better for one to help with one's goodwill and not because one expects the **"love or helping hand"** one stretched out, to be reciprocated later on. When you help people selflessly, there comes a sense of goodness in your mind and heart. Worry less about people who only remember you when they need you, but don't quote me wrong... By not worrying about them, doesn't mean you should subject yourself to emotional foolishness, putting their needs before yours and making their needs your priorities even when you have other pressing needs. *We should learn this:* Life isn't fair, you won't always get what you give, so it's best to be on the safer side by expecting less from people ****The world needs more of good people.**** For a happy and contented life, it's better to give more and expect less, so when you don't get anything in return, your heart would still maintain its peace and sanity. I don't know if it's just me, but I noticed this... When you give freely; without expecting anything, more actually comes to you, either from the person you gave to, or perhaps from another source entirely. Those who give freely would always receive. I've heard so many stories of people who gave to others and ended up getting either double or triple of what they actually gave out. When you put a tag on what you gave out; expecting a reciprocation from the other party, you subject your mind to an unwarranted pain and sadness, it's then you'll hear this phrase: ***"after all I did for him, after all I did for her, and I gave them; even till the last Penny I had, but what did I get in return? Betrayal!, (S)he couldn't even lift a finger to help me in my difficult moments."*** And then you start feeling bad of yourself, well I can't blame you for feeling that way, but I'll blame you for expecting the same energy from the person you gave to. *The only limitation there should be on ‘giving’ is the point where you feel like you are emotionally drained and being taken advantage of.* Wikipedia *“You give but little when you give of your possessions. It is when you give of yourself that you truly give.”* Kahlil Gibran When giving to an individual, it should come out genuinely and not from the idea that something would be gotten out of it. Expecting from an individual would build resentment which would grow from disappointment. This was in the early months; 2021 For the first time ever since my birth, I lived with a family of five:"The father, mother, a daughter and two sons." This family had a school, and from that school, they got some scholars whose houses were quite far away; to live with them. In their words, they wanted those scholars to stay in their house, so they could keep track on these scholars academic performances especially since the parents of these scholars were hardly ever around. When the parents heard their proposal, they were more than willing to allow their children stay with this family. So yeah, apart from the family in question plus myself, we had "little Enoch with his brother Isreal" and we also had "little Grace" from an entirely different family living with us. Now this made us "nine" in the house. The issue: Soon, the wife to the man started complaining of how the bags of water kept finishing, how the food in the house is small, how her husband is spending times three of what he would normally spend if they were to be the only ones in the house. *And also...* She started complaining that the parents of the scholars are not even contributing or giving her husband money, atleast even just as a show of appreciation for helping them take care their children. I can't really give the full details here, but In my opinion, the woman up there, expected too much and she got none of it, till she cajoled her husband into sending off those children back to their parents. She felt resentment towards the parents of those kids and it grew from disappointment. That resentment she felt towards those parents (because they weren't assisting), changed her character to their children, she kept nagging in the house, kept subjecting them to work and more work, she inflicted the pains she felt from the parents' lack of concern, on the children and she kept on with it till she got her husband to send the children back to their parents. **Have zero expectations.** If your relationship looks like a tennis match, 1 for 1, 2 for 2, then the relationship will start to feel forced or unnatural. Wikipedia Have zero expectations but there should also be boundaries. If you feel that someone is taking advantage of you for your kindness towards them, then they actually are. `That must have been the same way the woman in that story felt... She felt the parents of those kids were trying to exploit her and her hubby, so she had to make some moves.` Know the kind of people you keep in your life. *Scratch that mentality that people owe you something, if you freely give, then people who are supposed to be in your life would naturally reciprocate.* *Give because you want to give and not because you're expecting something in return.* Till we meet again in my next article and in yours. Thanks for reading.
