Taj Mahal - Agra One of the Seventh Wonders of the World, the Taj Mahal, a symbol of enduring love - was built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of his late wife Mumtaz Mahal. Made of white marble, it is a mausoleum or dargah, in which the emperor buried his empress and after his own death, the emperor Shahjahan is buried next to his wife.
