Most of us find it hard to move on from our past experiences. Most people, try to imprison us of our past experiences as if we can't become a better version of our past self.

People often could not just move on. Always hanging unto the past. We are all sinners in the past, that is why when are ashamed of asking God's love and favor.

But God does not look unto your past, but He sees you in your future.

You are a past sinner, being a saint sharing in His glory.
I realized this when we ask for God's blessing we need this.

So here's the P.A.S.T that I hope could help you too.

PLEAD
When we want something, don't we cry? Don't we plea? Plea to God, that in His great and abundant mercy, He will answer your call. God is not deaf to our pleas, but He wants to know how will we fight for what we are asking of Him. St. James said that sometimes God is not giving us what we want because we don't know what we are asking of. When you need something, plead. Plead with your clasp hand and on your bended knees.

ASK
There's no harm in asking. "God is it okay? Lord, will you give me this?." As humans sometimes we stop asking God because we think He is not listening. But God does listen. For us, asking God is bombarding Him with many prayer requests, and then we want it ASAP, instant, quick, rapido, pronto…We don't allow Him to answer. Despite our being sinners in front of God, we have this courage to ask Him anything, blessings, rewards, promotions, work, friends, money, a partner in life, etc. But do we have the courage to let God speak and answer you? Oftentimes we dare not. We are so deeply focused on ourselves, on our demands that we ignore this silent and little voice inside us, which is the voice of God. We don't want silence in our midst but that is the language in which God wants to start His conversation with us. He is telling us that we don't need what we are asking. He is telling us to wait because He knows the greater things we need. In His own perfect time, all will be okay. Just ask. Don't be ashamed. God loves us so much. Just listen. Have a conversation with Him. Feel His presence.

SORROW
Being sinners, we are expected to ask God's pardon and mercy. But sometimes we tend to broadcast our sinfulness, our failures, our weaknesses. True sorrow acknowledges that we are all sinners, who need God's forgiveness. In front of God, we can never boast of anything. God loves all sinners, hates sins. Sometimes we fail to admit our mistakes and sins. We are ashamed to confess our sins. It is not hard to bow down, strike your chest, and fall on your knees. When we kneel, we stand tall before God. Sorrow comes with conversion and change of heart. Like Zacchaeus, St. Paul, the Apostles, the disciples of Jesus who in their sorrow meet God, feel His love and share that love.

THANK
Being sinners we try not to forget to thank God. Thank Him for what you are now. Thank Him in all circumstances. Thank Him for everything. Thank Him for everyone, may that be your family, friends, loved ones, or even your enemies. But above all, thank God for sending His beloved Son, Jesus Christ, who took you out from the slavery of sin, from being a sinner, He made you holy and perfect in His love. Thank God for loving you despite your sins because He still sees in you a beloved child of Him. He sees not your past but your future.

A SINNER, NOW A SAINT. CONDEMNED NOW SAVED. HATED NOW LOVED.

We are not prisoners of our past. Live in the present. "Don't let people judge you because of your past, you don't live there anymore."

Are you ready to move on with your past?

Sometimes it is difficult to overcome the past, there are material things that were lost due to mistakes but that continues to affect your present and the possibility of creating a better future, although these days I received great teaching from my son and that is that you have to move forward, in that I will do my best next year with the help of God.
