Godmother and the Candle One of the most memorable day of my life. I finally became a godmother. It was so ecstatic. When my highschool friend invited me as one of the spiritual parents for her child, I didnt think twice to said yes. I accepted it wholeheartedly and prepared for it. I got off 40mins. before the baptism, so from work we rode the motorcycle for atleast 10mins. The road may be bulky, rocky and muddy but its okay, Im just ignoring it. My attention is to reach my destination on time and we did it. When we reached our meeting place, I didnt know that there will be having the 8th Misa de Gallo, a blessing indeed. I didn't know the details but still carry on. We really need to expect the unexpected anyways. The Reasons why I Chose to be a Godmother: To be a Role model. In baptism, candle symbolizes light. I know, Im imperfect in many ways but I want to be the light that will guide her to be a good Christian together with her parents and grandparents. I will help her parents to educate her on how to be a good person to others and follow God's grace. A blessing. I believe that being a godmother is a blessing. God made a way that you will be a part of someone's lives. It's a blessing that you will become the second mother of the child that you can consider as your own. Everything happens for a reason why I chose and invited as a godmother and to look my purpose into it. It's not all about giving gifts and money. Being a godmother is a great responsibilities. They often think that they need to have many ninong and ninang so they can collect ample amount of money but its not all about that. Yes, we can also give gifts but it doesnt stop there. Being a godparents are taking responsibility of helping their parents on how to help their child to grow a good person to everyone. Realization Life may be harder sometimes but look for the beauty of it. God will bless us in many ways not just on blessing us money and wealth but also a gift of people who can be part of our lives. A people who can change our lives. Being a godparents is an honor that we need to be acted upon our responsiblity because God chose us to be His disciple to spread His word and follow his grace to be compassionate to all. Through godparenting we can help the parents to guide their child to be a humble, responsible, compassionate and a loving person. Let us be a good Christian in hope of a better world.

The Last Piece (La Verguenza) Its really fun to be a Filipino. Filipino's are not be called Filipino for nothing. Earlier when we had lunch, it took us half hour in the kitchen because of this last piece hahaha. As you know, I was eating lunch with my colleagues. I just wanna share some Filipino traits that I've encountered this afternoon. 1. Invite people to eat with you, whether you mean it or not. In our country where instead of “how are you”, people greet each other with “have you eaten?”, it is also common courtesy to invite someone to eat when you’re eating so for example, if someone were having lunch in the office kitchen, and his colleague happened to walk in for a glass of water, the guy eating would normally say, “Tara, kain (Let’s eat),” simply out of courtesy. To which, the other person would reply something along the lines of “Later, thanks,” or “Thanks, but I just ate.” 2. Avoid taking the last piece of food on a serving plate. While doing otherwise isn’t exactly offensive, the practice of not taking the last piece of food from the center of the table is subconsciously practiced by most Filipinos. This is mostly out of shyness in case anybody else at the table is still hungry. Among close friends and family, it’s more common for someone to lightly and jokingly announce that he’ll be taking the last piece upon doing so while in less intimate circles, someone who wants the last piece might first offer it around the table, and after several refusals, only then take it for himself. This scenarios are usually common here in our office. The last piece of shame is so epic hahaha but because of what happened my other colleague shared her saging na lakatan to break the awkward moment of that last piece of shame. Eating is enjoyable when eating with our love ones, friends, colleagues or to our new found acquaintance. It's maybe hard to admit but eating is the only time we spent much time with our family because of many reasons such as busy schedule, out of town, or they are not staying with you anymore. The Last piece will remind us to be grateful, generous and humble by giving it to the most needy. We will become generous by giving it to the hungry than letting greediness to take over.

My Father's Bodyguard This day was kinda exciting. I've seen my father prepared his butcher knife. He woke up early because he will go to town to his boss residence to cut the pork into parts for their events. Yesterday was the celebration of their Christmas Party and their boss 41th wedding anniversary. Its kinda amazing how their boss prepared such event for their employees. After work, eventhough I'm tired coz we also facilitated a PWD Social Pension Pay-out and I have so many documents and plans to review for signing, I'm thankful that I was able to wenr to their party to attent. I was not there to feast with them. I was there to guard my father. My father is a heavy drinker so I need to looked after him especially on that important occassion. It's not that I was shy to whatever he will do but I'm just want them to enjoy that festive event they were gathering. Opening Remarks As the Christmas Party started I kept an eye to my father's location. I was nearby, he started drinking beer and I'm just letting him to enjoy. My boss and his boss gave an opening remarks and welcoming us to that occasion. My boss looked tired but he still managed to be cooperative with his family to celebrate their special day. Giving of Christmas Bonus Before their female boss handed their bonuses, their eldest son gave a short speech. He said that those who have advances to their salaries will receive lesser amount to cover their exceeds advances. He said, his mom is quite generous to still give bonuses to those who have exceeded their advances. His parents wanted them to have a bonus so they can also celebrate Christmas with foods on their tables. What a kind boss my father had. They are so lucky to have such boss. After the speech, their female boss called them one by one. Aside from their Christmas bonus they also received two t-shirts. Everyone received bonuses and their children also received their aguinaldo's so everyone is happy. Games The event is not complete without games. My boss children prepared so many game for their employees to enjoy with. The games are: Gin Coke Beer- It is a game wherein they need to follow the instructor's instruction. If the instruction said gin, they need to move their hips around. If the instructor said coke, they need to shake their hips to the right side and if the instructor said beer, they need to move their hips to the left side. This game played by 10 players. Take the bottle- This game played by 5 partners. They followed the instructor if he said head they will touched their head, if the instructor said shoulder they will touched their shoulder, and so on. If the instructor said bottle the player should be attentive to get it first so they will win. Charades- It is a game of words need to be act. In a group there should be the actor and persons who will guess what that word is. Pinoy Henyo- It is a game where the player need to guess the word by the guidance of his teammates. They all enjoyed the games so much because the winner will receive 200 peso bill as their prize. Aside from games they also have raffle draws and if your ne will be called you will be receiving another 200 peso bill. My father got selected so he is very happy. My father gave the 200 peso bill to my nieces and to my nephew. They also awarded the Best in Smiling Face, Best Buddies, Best in Chika etc. Closing Remarks The Christmas Party and Wedding Anniversary ended well. Their boss gave a word of gratitude to their employees as part of their company and to their lives. They ended it with group pictures. I was so happy that I've seen my father taking a picture with them even he is kinda drunk already. Their boss now opened the use of videole where they can sing. I didn't notice that my father went to the other side, so I looked for him immediately and when I found him I told him were going home. He refused first and tried to go back inside when were already at the gate. He said his going to collect the pig's food. I told him he can get it tomorrow. There are so many people saying, just carry on maam take him with you. I just ignored them and focused on my father. He is already talking loud a signed that he is already drunk. He also tend to shout loud saying random things. I asked my father where he parked the padyak, a three wheeled vehicle. It is a bicycle with side car where he used for everyday going to town to collect the pig's food. I pleaded my father to listen to me and just hop in to the padyak to avoid commotion. Thanks God he listened to me and hopped in. I managed to rode the padyak with my father and he said be careful at the crossing hahaha. He also said drive carefully coz he's dizzy. I just smiled. There are so many people eyeing on us while riding home. I don't care anyway. The important thing is I can secure my father's safety. I'm happy to guard my father especially when he's drunk and he is on the other house far from home. My neighbors and my father's drinking mate usually called me as my father's bodyguard and Im proud of being one.

Trust amidst of Overthinking A brand new day. Thankfully, the typhoon was gone. The sky is clearer and now blue in color. Everyone is rejoicing for the beautiful and bright sunny day after a week of gloomy days and rainy days. Hours passed and the sky turned black again. The clouds became thick and formed cumulunimbus clouds. The passer's by exclaimed that it was too soon to rain again. It rained about approximately 30 minutes and thankfully it became sunny again. This is the perfect weather we are looking for. Everyone became so busy to dry their riceplants grain and some are busy to go to town. I started to prepare my laundry after doing household chores like sweeping the floor. Cook some breakfast and washed the dishes. I moved so fast to get my laundry and started to play some musics. Music is life. When I listened to music while doing something it made me productive. I washed used clothes while listening and I didnt felt so tired that much. After an hour, I started to drain the washing machine and to my surprise, I saw a 20 peso bill. Thank goodness coz that day, I really need a change to pay for the printing of the SPASS of my neighbors who are going to Misamis Oriental and they both old and they dont have touch screen phone so I need to print it out. I removed it from the washing machine and cleaned it. After removing the bubbles, I placed it first on the timer while cleaning the washing machine for I need to put some fabric conditioner to my clothes. Afterwards, I put the 20 peso bill to my mother's slippers at the side of our store for she is also drying her slippers under the heat of the sun. As you can see at the side of it is the National Road. There are so many passing by that day coz its sunny day already. Our house is in between of the road and the estuary. At first, I honestly have a second thought placing the 20 peso bill at that area coz Im thinking what if someone will took it out of my sight. How can I pay for the printing fee? What if it will flew if it became dry and blew by the wind? Despite of overthinking thi ngs inside my head, I chose to trust the process. Thankfully, no one ever touched it and it didnt go away. Always trust the process and dont overthink too much.

Pluviophile Do you love the rain? Do you hate it? The month of december is rainy season. Ber months is cold season. Some will love it and some will hate it but don't forget that rain is essential especially to the farmers. Rainy season will contribute to good farming activities such as planting riceplants and other vegetables. Rainy season may have advantages and disadvantages to us humans but its natural to our environment. Humans are the ones who made its own disadvantages, do you agree? I personally considered myself as pluviophile. Let me tell you what does pluviophile means. Pluviophile is a lover of rain, its someone who finds joy and peace of mind during rainy days. I dont why I'm like this but I really love and enjoyed the rain. I remember when I was a child I'd love to soak while it rained and I will be scolded by my mom XD. Do not be angry with the rain, it simply does not know how to fall upwards. In fact, the first falling drops can signify the beginning of something even more beautiful, rain is actually beneficial, brings positive force, rain makes things grow. Nature, nurture, and water go hand in hand. Lie down and let the sound of the rain soothe you. If it is bedtime, drift asleep to the sound of the rain. Keep warm in colder weather. Don't open the window unless it is bearable; instead, cuddle up under your favorite quilt or blankets and listen to the sound of the rain on the roof. This rainy season, I wish that the drops of rain drench you with happiness and contentment for life. I hope that you never fall short of a cup of tea or coffee in this rainy morning and the warmth of the cup warmth your soul.

Mermaid Our creative mind can sometimes deceive us when we are not using it wisely and rationally. Believe it or not, I really like fantasies coz my imaginations can go further than what you think XD. When I thought of something and still didnt want to let go about it, I brought them in my dreams. When I was a child, Im an avid fan of a mermaid. Why? It starts when I was in the custody of my grandparents, mother's side in San Fernando. My grandpa told me that when he went fishing to the sea, he saw a creature just looked like a girl. Her body is half fish and half human. He said its a mermaid. It has a long hair, he added but didnt see it carefully coz the only light he is depending into is the moon. He also told me that the mermaid swum into the deepest part of the ocean and explore the whole of it. That story of my grandpa really inspired me to become a mermaid coz I really like the seas. I really love to watched mermaid movies, like H20, Barbie: the Pearl Princess, Mermaidia, Dyesebel, etc. Now that I grow old, I realized that dream to become a mermaid is impossible to achieve, so if there is a chance if I can study Masteral's Degree; I would take Marine Biology as my specialization, coz I really want to explore the whole ocean and see the extravagant nature under the sea and all its wondrous creature. As you all know, our world is 70% water and only 10% are being explored. There are so much more in the deepest ocean that we are just thinking as a fantasy without realizing that it could be a reality. We may be blind of theories that we have seen in social medias and televisions but we need to be creative and rational for we are not the only creatures living in this magical and wonderful planet called Earth. Let's open our eyes and use our judgement. The judgement we should respect all creatures great or small because God created all those things for a slecific purpose just like us humans. Do you believe that there is a possibilities that the mermaid exist?

Life is like a River A good river is nature's life work in song. Rivers are roads that move and carry us whether we wish to go. Life is like the river, sometimes it swepts you gently along and sometimes the rapid flows come out of nowhere. Wherever you find water on Earth, you will find a living organisms. If you found water somewhere else, it became a remarkable draw to look closer to see, if what kind of living organisms are there, even if it's bacterial, fungi or parasites which would be extraordinary for the field of biology. Our bodies use water in our cells, organs, and tissues, to help regulate body temperature and maintain other bodily functions. Our bodies lose water through breathing, sweating, and digestion. It's important to rehydrate and replenish the water loss by drinking fluids and eating foods that contain water. Water is life. We should conserve water to make it usable for future generation. Save our planet by conservation of the natural resources.

Success Many of us dreamed to be rich, travel around the world, meet the famous person and many others. We are dreaming so much for our self that we forget other people around us. We forget our origin after having too much wealth and assets. Money is not the end of everything. I will tell you some key points on how you considered yourself successful: °**Be confident**. As an individual we need to believe in our capabilities and skills. Believing in yourself will boost your self-esteem and confident that your going to achieve whatever you want. °**Be humble**. Do not be overconfident and become boastful. Humility is they key to have an innerpeace and unity to everyone. Whenever you receive rewards or achievements dont brag about it. °**Be patient**. Patience is a virtue. Everyone has its own pace. We shouldn't need to rush everything because if you are striving hard to something it worth waiting for. Perfect timing will be rewarding for those who are patiently wait and believing. **°Be religious**. Being religious knows no religion or beliefs. Its all about having faith to the only God who created everything in this world. The true essence of success is following His commandments. We should love our neighbors as we love God and ourselves. **The True Essence of Success** Material things will not make you successful. Too much ambition and dependent to materials things will result into vast greedness, that will make you want more and more. You will feel insecure and it will non-stop. Success is when you are happy and enjoying your life with your loved ones. Helping each other, loving each other, supporting each other, and most importantly praying for each other and to the whole people in the world.

Windy Day I went out for a moment to looked at my surroundings because Im looking at the weather condition because my workmate asked me if we need to report for work today. I saw that the trees swayed back and forth coz of strong wind. What I worry about are the coconut trees at the side of our house and at the road. Im afraid that the coconuts drop to the ground and caused accidents. The weather is still bearable so I texted my workmate that we still need to go to work today and there's no announcement that been made about cancellation of work though. By the way, I always scolded by my parents if I stand over the coconut tree. Then, I immediately leave that place. Last night, there was a numerous coconut fell to our roof that surprised me the most hahahaha. I almost shouted. Things really have its advantages and disadvantages, its up to us humans on how we used them. In order to make it useful we beed to consider their importance to avoid any danger or harm.

Time is Gold Time goes so fast that we don’t notice how we get old. Everything changes, including people, nature, lives. The average length of the human life is approximately 70 years. Of course, many people can’t find their own way during the whole lifetime. But this limit forces us to make choices. We decide what we want to be, then choose a husband or a wife. When we become more or less independent, we look around and see such a picture: our faces aren’t so fresh, hair is grey, health gets worse. These are the features of the old age. It’s normal and we accustom to this fact. However, nobody wants to die in povеrty, in the street. That’s why people try to arrange their being before they feel powerless. We are in a hurry because we know that the time won’t wait for us. It works on its personal way. The seasons change each other, generations too. The world sees different leaders, whether they’re called kings or presidents. New robots and machines are invented, the countries fight for land. Anyway, everything alive is mortal. We can’t stop the time. It doesn’t obey neither our wish, nor the force. Great empires disappeared from the surface of the planet when their time came. To value the time means to catch with it. It can be confirmed, that the time is gold, because if you appreciate it you may do many things: biuld a house, grow a tree and bring up children. For this short period we have to manage to give our kids experience we’ve got and teach them useful skills. Also in business the time is precious. Each minute is used to make a profit. Secretaries write down time-tables for their bosses, so that they are able to make a fortune and not to lose even a little amount of money. Here we should understand that the time will finish and value the dearest people we live with. We should learn how to enjoy our families, work, friends and other people we encountered and became part of our lives. Dont wait that your time's up before you enjoy your life. Regression is the most painful enemy that we can have. Make most of your time to things that will show the real you and be proud that you are using your golden time to glorify God Almighty. I hope that, I didnt waste your precious time. Your clock is ticking, your life is running. Live your life to the fullest because time is gold.

Passion: Desire of Your Heart I love to use the word passion interchangeably with the words like determination, conviction, and love. Passion is a strong desire that can make you to do great things that you can never imagine. Passion is an emotion to be acted upon. Without action, passion yields no worthwhile results. Passion is the fuel in the fire of action. When you have passion for something, you are determined to make impossible possible by loving what you are doing. **What is Passion?** A desire fueled by passion will bring about the greatest results in life. I like to hike and climb the mountain, but I don’t have the determination to push myself through broken bones and hospital visits. That’s why I’m not as good as I could be. I don’t have a passion for it. Passion can push you through difficult times because you don’t care what it takes to become better. We all have the ability to create whatever kind of life we want. The secret to living the dream is hidden in our passions and what we do because of them. Discover your Passion Finding what you are passionate about is a journey that you need to discover. Don’t be frustrated if you don’t feel like you know it yet. Keep trying new things. It will come even if you have to build it. If you find your passion, or find yourself hot on its trail, don’t give it up. What if you know what you have a passion for but you don’t do anything about it? This is the main problem with passion. You can have all the passion in the world for something, but if you never do anything about it, that passion is useless. Maybe you work a good job that pays all the bills but it doesn’t allow you to truly follow your passion. You’re afraid of what will happen if you change things up. Yes, change is scary, but it’s not until we leave our **comfort zone** that we find what we’ve been missing out on. https://www.lifehack.org/814949/youll-only-live-your-best-life-once-you-step-out  **Live your Life to the Fullest** You’re the author of your life. Don’t settle for the bare minimum just because it’s working out right now. You will never know what you’re truly capable of unless you push yourself. But even when you pursue your passion, you will find yourself tripped up by failures and other obstacles. You can’t let that get to you. It happens to everyone on the path of following their passion. Abe Lincoln had a strong passion for building a great country. You think he let a few failures stop him from that? Don’t let obstacles get you down. **Passion for People** The idea of passion also applies to people. Don’t fall into the common trap of thinking you love someone and not doing anything about it. Ask yourself, is giving up my pride worth it to maintain a relationship? What about being unselfish and sacrificing your time or comfort? If you can’t do that, it’s probably not real love, or you need to start making changes. Often, I think we need to remind ourselves who we love and act accordingly. It’s easy to let family relationships weaken because of pride. Of course, you say you love your family, but when your brother is in the school play, and you hate plays, do you go? The same applies to intimate relationships. Do you only love them when it’s easy? Real love takes sacrifice and work. You push through the difficult times because you love them and you understand that every passion pursued will have bumps in the road. Unfortunately, many people don’t understand what it means to have passion for someone. This is why divorce rates are so high and families are often torn apart by hurt feelings and unnecessary drama.
