Let's be clear, stardom is not meant for everyone. It is difficult to climb up on that ladder as there are so many expectations from you. It is so much a responsibility. It is about how fast you can adapt, how smart you are and how good you look at it.
I was told by someone who has been working in the industry for decades that one should never look into the eyes of fans, but instead bend down and smile at them instead. He said that looking into their eyes might make their heart skip a beat and this might cause them to faint down.
Stardom is not an easy job to do. Climbing isn't as easy as it seems, there are lots of expectations in life. When you look up to your idol and they look down at you with eyes of – I'm doing great, please remember that they don't always have it as easy as they seem on screen. There are times you have to give in selflessly because that's what being a celebrity is all about.
In addition to being open books, celebrities are also great mentors and role models. As an emerging artiste, I was able to learn so many things from them. They taught me about how things work in the industry and how to be a better person.
In this day and age stardom is not that easy as it seems, one moment you're on top of the world and then in the blink of an eye you face the lowest low that anyone can imagine.

You see, stars are not born up there. They are just ordinary folks like us and they have to serve their time in the trenches before they get that big break. So be it an actor who had to endure many rejections before landing a role or a singer who had to wait on tables before she got discovered, they all started just as we did, waiting for their big chance. And then when that chance came knocking on the door, they worked hard and played hard to make it happen.
And that's the life of a star.
So here's wishing you your big chance. We hope you make it happen, we believe you deserve it and we know you can do it.
