The World famous THOMAS EDISON.

Thomas Edison came home and gave a sealed letter to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother”.

His mother’s eyes were tearful and then young Thomas asked his mother what was wrong. However, the poor woman read out the letter aloud to her son:

"Your child is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself."

Many years after Edison’s mother died, and at that time he had become one of the greatest inventors of the century.

One day, while he was looking through the old family things he suddenly saw the folded paper his teacher gave him when he was a child in the corner of the drawer in a desk used by his mother.

He took it and opened it up. On the paper it was written:

"Your son is mentally ill and weak. Teaching a brain as slow as his, is a waste of time. He can never succeed in life. We won’t let him come to school anymore."

Edison cried for hours and then wrote in his diary: “Thomas Alva Edison was a mentally ill child that, by the hero mother, became the genius of the century”

Edison's mother believed so much in her son that not even the gravest letter would deter her from making him a success. But no one knew that this person would execute many inventions that people won’t forget him even after centuries!

And the biggest learning of his success story was his 1000 attempts when he failed at his job. But he never stopped; his drive led him to astonishing success and now he is one of the world’s most famous success stories.

Never give up on others. Edison's mother showed an example of a daunting faith and strong determination.
