Domestic abuse and Violence When people think of domestic abuse, they often focus on domestic violence. But domestic abuse includes any attempt by one person in a marriage or intimate relationship to dominate and control the other. Domestic violence and abuse are used for one purpose and one purpose only: to gain and maintain total control over you. An abuser doesn’t “play fair.” An abuser uses fear, guilt, shame, and intimidation to wear you down and keep you under their thumb.Domestic violence and abuse can happen to anyone; it does not discriminate. Abuse happens within heterosexual relationships. It occurs within all age ranges, ethnic backgrounds, and economic levels. And while women are more often victimized, men also experience abuse—especially verbal and emotional. The bottom line is that abusive behavior is never acceptable, whether from a man, woman, teenager, or an older adult. You deserve to feel valued, respected, and safe. Domestic abuse often escalates from threats and verbal assault to violence. And while physical injury may pose the most obvious danger, the emotional and psychological consequences of domestic abuse are also severe. Emotionally abusive relationships can destroy your self-worth, lead to anxiety and depression, and make you feel helpless and alone. No one should have to endure this kind of pain—and your first step to breaking free is recognizing that your relationship is abusive. There are many signs of an abusive relationship, and a fear of your partner is the most telling. If you feel like you have to walk on eggshells around them—constantly watching what you say and do in order to avoid a blow-up—chances are your relationship is unhealthy and abusive. Other signs include a partner who belittles you or tries to control you, and having feelings of self-loathing, helplessness, and desperation. Physical and sexual abuse Physical abuse occurs when physical force is used against you in a way that injures or endangers you. Physical assault or battering is a crime, whether it occurs inside or outside of a family. The police have the power and authority to protect you from a physical attack. Any situation in which you are forced to participate in unwanted, unsafe, or degrading sexual activity is sexual abuse. Forced s*x, even by a spouse or intimate partner with whom you also have consensual s*x, is an act of aggression and domestic violence. Furthermore, people whose partners abuse them physically *and* sexually are at a higher risk of being seriously injured or killed. Physical and sexual assaults, or threats to commit them, are the most apparent forms of domestic abuse and violence and are usually the actions that allow others to become aware of the problem. However, regular use of other abusive behaviors by the abuser, when reinforced by one or more acts of physical violence, make up a larger system of abuse. Although physical assaults may occur only once or occasionally, they instill the fear of future violent attacks and allow the abuser to take control of the victim's life and circumstances. **Emotional Abuse** Not all abusive relationships involve physical violence. Just because you’re not battered and bruised doesn’t mean you’re not being abused. Many men and women suffer from emotional abuse, which is no less destructive. Unfortunately, emotional abuse is often minimized or overlooked—even by the person experiencing it. This type of abuse doesn’t involve physical violence, though it might involve threats of violence directed toward you or your loved ones. It’s characterized by a person’s words, actions, and the consistency of these behaviors. Abuse may start gradually, but it happens again and again. Emotional abuse includes undermining a person's sense of self-worth through constant criticism; belittling one's abilities; name-calling or other verbal abuse; damaging a partner's relationship with the children; or not letting a partner see friends and family. **Signs of an abusive relationship** It may not always be obvious that you’re in an abusive relationship. It can be common for someone who is being abused to believe that it’s their own fault and that they somehow ‘deserve’ the abuse. Remember: you’re *never* to blame for the way an abusive person treats you. A relationship can be violent and abusive without physical violence. It can include emotional, sexual and physical abuse, and may involve control of your finances. Here are some signs to look for 👇👇👇. Possessiveness 👉 They check on you all the time to see where you are, what you're doing and who you are with 👉 They try to control where you go and who you see, and get angry if you don't do what they say 👉 They constantly send text messages and want to know what you are doing every moment of the day. Jealousy 👉 They accuse you of being unfaithful or of flirting 👉 They isolate you from family and friends, often by behaving rudely to them. Put-downs 👉 They put you down, either publicly or privately, by attacking your intelligence, opinions, mental health or capabilities. 👉 They constantly compare you unfavourably to others. 👉 They blame you for all the problems in your relationship, and for their violent outbursts. 👉 They say things like, ‘No one else will want you.’ Threats 👉 They yell or suck, and deliberately break things that you value 👉 They threaten to use violence against you, your family, friends or a pet. Physical and sexual violence 👉 They push, shove, hit or grab you, or make you have sex or do things you don’t want to do. 👉 They harm you, your family members or your pets. **Domestic violence remedy** Domestic violence is more than just a relationship issue, it is a crime. Solutions to domestic violence need to include both short and long-term strategies. Short-term strategies should be made up of assistance programs that defend the woman who has witnessed abuse or is currently being abused. They frequently focus on the critical period faced by the victim after he/she leaves the home and is provided with food, shelter and guidance. This is the period when the woman or man who is the victim of abuse is most vulnerable. It is the time that the victim seeks retribution from the abuser, or when she may be forced to go back to the house out of desperation. Long-term strategies are aimed at educating the public and empowering the victim to reinstate her life without violence. It also includes developing programs that create atmosphere of anti-domestic violence in the community. Any intervention given to the survivors of domestic violence need to include interrelationship among health, legal and social sectors to ensure that stability is maintained and the victim is not constantly referred to a new agency. One particular ground-breaking strategy is to make use of “family crisis centers,” or “victim advocates” to serve as the victim’s connection to a number of sectors. **Thanks for reading ❤️** **8th, March 2022.**

Drug Usage: It Abuse and Addiction People from all walks of life can experience problems with their drug use, regardless of age, race, background, or the reason they started using drugs in the first place. Some people experiment with recreational drugs out of curiosity, to have a good time, because friends are doing it, or to ease problems such as stress, anxiety, or depression. However, it’s not just illegal drugs, such as cocaine or heroin, that can lead to abuse and addiction. Prescription medications such as painkillers, sleeping pills, and tranquilizers can cause similar problems. In fact, next to marijuana, prescription painkillers are the most abused drugs in the U.S. and more people die from overdosing powerful opioid painkillers each day than from traffic accidents and gun deaths combined. Addiction to opioid painkillers can be so powerful it has become the major risk factor for heroin abuse. When drug use becomes drug abuse or addiction Of course, drug use—either illegal or prescription—doesn’t automatically lead to abuse. Some people are able to use recreational or prescription drugs without experiencing negative effects, while others find that substance use takes a serious toll on their health and well-being. Similarly, there is no specific point at which drug use moves from casual to problematic. Drug abuse and addiction is less about the type or amount of the substance consumed or the frequency of your drug use, and more about the consequences of that drug use. If your drug use is causing problems in your life—at work, school, home, or in your relationships—you likely have a drug abuse or addiction problem. If you’re worried about your own or a loved one’s drug use, learning how drug abuse and addiction develops—and why it can have such a powerful hold—will give you a better understanding of how to best deal with the problem and regain control of your life. Recognizing that you have a problem is the first step on the road to recovery, one that takes tremendous courage and strength. Facing your problem without minimizing the issue or making excuses can feel frightening and overwhelming, but recovery is within reach. If you’re ready to seek help, you can overcome your addiction and build a satisfying, drug-free life for yourself. ________________________ Risk Factors for Drug Abuse: Teenagers may try a drug because his/her friends are doing it, but her use may spiral out of control due to depression, anxiety or other life circumstances. Understanding the key risk factors for drug abuse can help parents and educators identify young people who may need extra concern or care. Some of the risk factors are : 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 ✔️ Academic failure or lack of academic motivation ✔️ Alienation from peers or family ✔️ Anti-social behavior, including early aggressive behavior ✔️ Early first use of drugs ✔️ Drug availability in the community ✔️ Improper parenting – having parents who are distant, uninvolved with their children, poor monitors of their children’s activities or who have not established or enforced clear rules with their children ✔️ Long work hours ✔️ Loss of control/external locus of control – feeling that their lives are beyond their control ✔️ Low socioeconomic status ✔️ Parent or sibling alcohol/drug use ✔️ Parental divorce, remarriage or other homelife transitions ✔️Sensation-seeking behavior There are also biological factors that can increase an individual’s likelihood of drug abuse. While these circumstances are impossible to change, awareness of their presence can help parents and educators target at-risk young people for selective intervention. Biological factors include: 👇👇👇👇👇 ✔️ Genetic predisposition toward addictive behavior ✔️ Mental illness (specifically, those with ADHD, depression or anxiety, as well as other mental illnesses) ✔️ How the body metabolizes the substance (those with a higher natural tolerance may ingest more to achieve the drug’s effects, thus raising their likelihood of addiction) ✔️ Gender – men are twice as likely to have drug abuse problems ________________________ Why does addiction occur? Addiction alters the function of reward circuits in the brain. Drug use is often voluntary in the first instance. The development of a full addiction occurs through a variety of circumstances. However, the brain changes during a substance-related disorder in ways that can take a long time to bring back to a healthy state. A person whose brain’s reward circuitry has not altered as a result of addiction experiences positive feelings in relation to generally rewarding behaviors, such as exercising, being with family, or consuming delicious food. These should all make a person feel good. This might motivate a person to repeat these behaviors and regain that positive feeling. Substances produce a euphoric feeling by triggering large amounts of dopamine in certain regions of the brain responsible for the feeling of reward. Addiction occurs when the act of using a substance takes over these circuits and increases the urge to consume more and more of the substance in order to achieve the same rewarding effect. A substance use disorder eventually no longer causes the same rewarding feelings that it once caused. However, if the person abstains from using the substance, they begin to feel symptoms of withdrawal, which can be extremely unpleasant. The person often finds themselves using the substance just to feel “normal” — which generally means preventing the discomfort of withdrawal symptoms. Using drugs and alcohol to moderate mood can also impair the functioning of the prefrontal cortex, a section of the brain that manages executive decision-making. This part of the brain should alert a person to the harmful consequences of such behavior, but addiction impairs its ability to carry out this function. A combination of these three mechanisms and the risk factors for addiction can lead to the development of an addictive disorder. Another clear contributor to addiction is the type of substance a person takes. For example, opioids are highly addictive as they target receptors in the brain directly claims. ________________________ What makes addiction grow worse? Many people metabolize drugs in different ways. Some people, for example, do not require much alcohol to reach the point of intoxication. Others can seemingly drink vast quantities without feeling intoxicated. This often relates to a combination of age, gender, body weight, and other factors. As part of regularly consuming large amounts of a substance, the body may become accustomed to its effects and metabolize it more efficiently. The person may require increased amounts of the substance to achieve the same effect that smaller amounts of the substance used to create. Medicine generally refers to this phenomenon as tolerance. When tolerance increases alongside the need to take a substance to avoid withdrawal symptoms, it often indicates the onset of an addictive disorder. If a person does not receive treatment, it can lead to dangerous consequences. ________________________ **Signs of Drug Abuse or Addiction.** Unfortunately, media representations have painted many misleading caricatures of how a person suffering from substance abuse disorder appears or behaves. Often, people do not acknowledge that they have a problem, and friends or family members are the first to notice something has changed. If you are worried that you or a loved one is suffering from an addiction, uncertainty makes it hard to proceed. However, there are some telltale signs and symptoms to help you identify any potential issues. This symptoms can be broken down into two headings. ( Physical and Behavioural) 🅰️ Physical Signs of Drug Abuse **1. SMALL PHYSICAL SYMPTOMS:** Side effects can include slight alterations to physical appearance that may start to become noticeable. Bloodshot or red eyes and pinpoint or dilated pupils are all telling signs of many types of drug abuse. Also, pay attention to skin texture and complexion. Frequent abnormal puffiness and flushed or washed-out color can also indicate ongoing abuse of drugs or alcohol. Many forms of drug abuse come with small behavioral changes that might be dismissed as “tics.” If you notice any of the following, it could be signs of a hidden condition: 👇👇👇👇👇 👉 Persistent itching in a specific area of the body 👉 Impulsive pulling down of sleeves to hide marks 👉 Slurred speech 👉 Frequent sniffling While these are not definitive signs, if they are accompanied by secretiveness or defensiveness, they could provide helpful clues as to whether something is wrong. **2. OVERALL APPEARANCE:** Long-term abuse of drugs can result in drastic changes to physical appearance. Many drugs have appetite suppressing or other altering side effects, meaning abuse often results in visible weight changes. These rapid changes to body composition, such as sudden weight loss or weight gain, or lack of interest in personal grooming, especially if it declines without explanation, can also point to substance abuse and can be cause for concern. **3. PARAPHERNALIA:** It can be an obvious indicator if you find equipment in someone’s room or among their things. Some common items include: 👉 Cigarette wrapping papers 👉 Pipes 👉 Syringes 👉 Rolled up banknotes 👉 Cut-up straws 👉 Soiled cotton swabs 👉 Lighters 👉 Burnt spoons or bottle caps 👉 Bongs 👉Razor blades 👉 “Cutting” surfaces like mirrors or glass Not all drugs require anything to use them, but you might see other items that point to misuse. For example, medicine bottles from more than one doctor can be a sign of prescription drug abuse. People can use eyewash to hide the effect of bloodshot eyes – and while this is not a definite indicator, abnormal amounts can be a clue. Depending on many factors, someone struggling with addiction might go to great lengths to hide the physical signs or treat the symptoms with total apathy. **🅱️ Behavioral Signs of Drug Abuse** **When substance use takes hold of someone’s life, new priorities and feelings will control how they behave.** This results in rapid or noticeable changes from what was previously considered “normal” for this person. Daily routines and activities get rearranged or abandoned, and relationships with friends and loved ones come under stress. If you or someone you know is turning into someone unrecognizable, it could be a consequence of drug abuse. Some changes to watch for are 👇👇👇: **1. STRUGGLING WITH LIMITS:** This can manifest as urges to take a prescription drug at a higher dose than prescribed or continuing after the health problem it treats has ended. Addiction makes it hard to follow even self-prescribed rules. If you have set yourself a self-imposed use limit but cannot stop yourself, this is a concerning sign. **2. LOSS OF INTEREST:** Substance dependency takes over the mind’s reward system. Take note if someone is becoming complacent in realms they used to take great pride in or apathetic towards the people or hobbies they usually cherish. It may mean they are funneling their energy toward feeding the impulse of using drugs. Frequent failure to show up or follow through on plans, lack of enthusiasm, or dulling of talents can all indicate an underlying struggle. **3. MOOD SWINGS:** Many substances, especially when used heavily, impair the user’s ability to manage emotional input. This can appear as sudden misery, extreme upset, irritation, or anger in situations when they could previously handle their moods well. If a normally calm and collected person seems hyper and manic, or an optimist is dealing with sudden waves of depression, it could be a sign of drug abuse. **5. DEFENSIVENESS:** Withdrawn behavior and responding with hostility or wariness when uncomfortable topics arise can be a sign of defensiveness. A person trying to hide addiction may redirect the conversation with arguments or even aggressive mood swings, and distraction methods are also a defensive sign. ________________________ **Tips to overcome drug addiction** **👉 Surround yourself with supportive people**. One of the most important things you can do to stay sober is to find friends who are sober, too. While it may be hard to cut off unhealthy relationships of your past, hanging out with people who support your need to stay clean will pay off in the long run. **👉 Find new hobbies.** Staying busy is the best way to keep your mind off your desire to use. Not only that, but establishing an interesting and rewarding hobby can also help you find joy and purpose in your life, and replace your old unhealthy habits with new drug-free activities. **👉 Exercise.** Working out is good for the body and the mind. As your physical health improves, you’ll also experience the “natural high” of endorphins, which can elevate your mood. And an exercise routine creates a structure to your days, helping to reduce your risk of a relapse. **👉 Volunteer** Finding a worthy cause to support while in recovery allows you to help others while helping yourself. Giving back to the community can help you discover a sense of purpose, build healthy connections and friendships, and feel good about the contributions you’re making to society. **👉Eat well.** The food you eat has a serious impact on your wellbeing. By making sure you consume a healthy, well-rounded diet, you’ll keep yourself in shape – both physically and mentally. And if you’re feeling good, then you’re less likely to turn to drugs for a mood booster. 7th ,March 2022 __**______________________** Thanks for reading ❤️ ________________________

Heavy metal Test **What is a heavy metal test?** A heavy metal test examines the levels of heavy metals in the blood or urine. High levels can indicate that a person has had exposure to heavy metals. At-home heavy metal tests use urine and blood samples to screen for long-term and recent exposure to these metals. The heavy metals that tests most commonly screen for are 👇👇👇👇: 👉 Lead 👉 Arsenic 👉 Mercury 👉 Cadmium What are heavy metal tests used for? A person can use a heavy metal test to see if they have experienced exposure to heavy metals and how much metal is in their body. People may use a heavy metal test if they have symptoms of heavy metal poisoning or if they live or work in places where heavy metal exposure is likely. Children may take a heavy metal test as part of standard screening procedures in certain states when entering the United States. **When should people test for heavy test** Heavy metals are present in the environment and living organisms, such as plants and animals. Heavy metals occur naturally in the air, but human activity can significantly increase their levels. Soil erosion, sewage discharge, and pesticides are some causes of higher levels of heavy metals in the air. However, while heavy metals are naturally present in living organisms, high amounts of these metals can lead to toxicity. People may wish to consider a heavy metal test if they have had possible exposure to heavy metals or live in an older house or an area with aging water pipes. Additionally, some children under 6 years of age may require lead testing. Lead is a heavy metal that can lead to brain damage and behavioral conditions, especially in children whose brains are still developing. The center for disease control and prevention (CDC**)** note that this test should be essential for “all refugee children who are 6 months to 16 years of age upon entering the United States” and those who have lived in an older building in poor repair. A pediatrician may recommend lead testing for other young children, depending on their living conditions and the presence of any symptoms. Symptoms of heavy metal poisoning If a person displays any symptoms of heavy metal poisoning, they should contact a healthcare professional as soon as possible for treatment and advice. The general symptoms of heavy metal poisoning **include**: 👉 nausea and vomiting 👉 Abdominal pain 👉 Diarrhea 👉 Tingling in the hands and feet 👉 Chills However, a person’s symptoms may depend on the specific type of heavy metal poisoning. **How to choose heavy metal tests** A person may wish to consider the following factors when purchasing an at-home heavy metal test: **👉 Types of heavy metal it measures:** If a person suspects that they have had exposure to a particular heavy metal, they should make sure that it is on the list of metals that the test measures. **👉 Collection method:** Some people may find it easier and more comfortable to collect a urine sample than a blood sample. **👉 Company labs:** It is important to select an at-home test kit from a company that uses certified labs. This means that the labs adhere to state or federal regulations. However, at-home heavy metal tests are not a substitute for advice and treatment from a healthcare professional. If a person is showing any symptoms of heavy metal poisoning, they should contact a doctor as soon as possible for further advice. **Risks associated with heavy metal tests** A person should be aware of the risk of contaminating the sample when taking an at-home heavy metal test. People should closely follow any instructions about preparing, collecting, storing, and sending their samples to minimize the risk of contaminating them. In heavy metal tests requiring a blood sample, there may be a small risk of bruising at the site from which a person took the sample. The results of an at-home heavy metal test may not always be accurate. Additionally, an at-home test may not be suitable for the type of heavy metal exposure a person has experienced. A person may wish to research further before buying an at-home heavy metal test to make sure it is the right for their needs and from a reputable company that uses trusted testing facilities. **What causes heavy metal poisoning?** Heavy metals occur naturally and are present in air, soil and water . **Th**ey are also a byproduct of many industrial activities. Work, pollution, and certain products can expose people to heavy metals. Heavy metals may also be present in some foods, such as mercury-contaminated fish. How to get tested Tests for heavy metals can analyze blood, urine, hair, or fingernails. Of these, blood and urine testing are more frequently used. The optimal form of testing depends on the metals being measured and whether the exposure is thought to be short-term (acute) or long-term (chronic). The test is normally ordered by a doctor who has reviewed your situation including any symptoms and possible toxic metal exposures. Test samples are usually taken at a doctor’s office, clinic, or hospital, although some urine tests require you to collect all your urine over a 24-hour period. Once the sample is collected, it is analyzed in a qualified medical laboratory **Are heavy metal tests accurate?** If a company uses CLIA- or CAP-certified labs, the test results are more likely to be accurate. However, user error, such as collecting a sample incorrectly, can affect accuracy. People should not use an at-home test as a replacement for a diagnosis from a healthcare professional. If a person believes that they may have heavy metal poisoning, they should contact a doctor as soon as possible for advice Heavy metals occur both naturally and as a byproduct of human activity. High amounts of heavy metals in the body can cause symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and behavioral changes. An at-home heavy metal test checks the amount of these materials in the body. People should not use these products as a replacement for testing, diagnosis, and advice from a healthcare professional. If a person has any symptoms of heavy metal poisoning, they should contact a doctor as soon as possible. What test results show Test results can show whether a person has elevated levels of a range of different heavy metals in their system. A person’s results may also explain what each result means for their health. Some tests may include suggestions for the next steps, such as arranging an appointment with a healthcare professional. A person may wish to contact a doctor if they receive results that suggest high or low levels of heavy metals.

What's your motive for wanting to succeed? **Have you sat down to ask yourself this questions?** 👉Why do you want to succeed by all means? 👉What's your motive for all the striving and hustling? Many a times, our driving force or motive is borne out of envy and jealousy. Somethings are not wrong, but our motive for doing so could either make it wrong or a sin. Why are you putting in more effort to top in your class? Is it because you envy a particular lady or guy that has been topping? Why are you leaving the business you're doing and venturing into the same one your neighbour is doing? Is it because you envy them for the fact that they always have more customers or clients? Why do you want to buy that car, house, dress, hair...? Why do you want to marry that man or woman? Why do you want that job? Why do you want to learn that skill? Why do you want to go into acting drama in Mount Zion institute? Why do you want to release that song or book? Is it because you want people to feel you've arrived? Is it because you want to do pepper dem gang? Is it because you want people to be famous? Is it because you want the accolades they give your friend? Some could even go to the extent of ending another persons life out of envy. Some could go to the extent of pulling others down to rise. Some could go to the extent of blackmailing others to make themselves well known. Some come to the online space to tarnish the image of a well known person, to be the centre of attraction or focus. Some could go to the extent of dragging people's name into the mud. I've seen people saying rubbish or continually pointing out people's error on the content they create because they want to advertise their skills or profession or career. You don't rise by trying to pull others down. Even if you do, it won't last. Why do you want to marry a wealthy man or a curvy lady? Is it because your neighbour is flaunting theirs? Is it because you feel left out? By so doing, many have married people that end up destroying their lives. All these things we're killing ourselves over are meaningless. It is like chasing the wind. This life is not a competition ground. There's enough space for the bird of the air, such that they don't have to fight. They don't have to tell the other, you're occupying my space. The space is wide enough to accommodate many. Stop making life hard by seeing it as a competition ground. Run your own race. Fight your own fight. Concentrate on what you're doing. Do it with the right motive. Do it for yourself and not because you're competing with another. The only competition you should have is striving on how your tomorrow can be greater than your yesterday. Your competition should not be with another human. In conclusion, Succeed because Christ wants you to prosper, and not because you want to pepper your neighbour or because you envy their success. Remember, there's enough space for the bird of the air. So spread your wings and soar higher, without having to block or deny another from soaring high. In everything you do, have the right motive. In everything you do, make sure you succeed because God wants you to be a good success

Faith over Fear FEAR, as few as the letters, but has brought many mighty men down. FEAR, as light as it sounds on the tongue, but capable of depriving one of ones greatness. FEAR, a negative emotion. A tool the devil uses. Once he's able to instill it in you, he can go on tormenting you for as long as you're ignorant. FEAR(False Evidence Appearing Real). It opens your sight to the limitations, barriers, hindrances, distractions that were never in existence. It allures your sight, imagination and reasoning. It creates doubt in you and limits you from taking a bold step of faith. An emotion that will make you doubt if God is really in existence. If he's in existence, why then do I have to suffer this or that? You can't pray, you can't invest, you can't go into a relationship, you can't read, because you feel it will always end up in zero. The fear of what if I fail? The fear of what will people say? The fear of I'm not enough. The fear of others can do better. The fear of I'm not beautiful enough. The fear of I don't have a sonorous voice. The fear of I'm not too good with words. The fear of I'm not creative. The fear of I can't speak English fluently. The fear of I'm an introvert. The fear that will make one feel one isn't prepared for Golden opportunities. The journey of a thousand miles begins with a step, but the fear of risk has hindered many from even taking a step. The fear of what if I fail in getting this job has made many to settle for less. The fear of they're no good men or women out there has made many to settle for a relationship/marriage they never bargained for. The fear of failure has made many to become their fear. For as a man thinketh, so is he. The question 'What if I fail?' lingering in the heart of many has made them to ignore the other question, 'But what if I succeed?' The question 'what if?' has caused the grave to be enriched with Golden opportunities that were never obtained, Talents that were never utilized, Gifts that never manifested, Purposes that were never fulfilled, Skills that were never harnessed, Initiatives that were never unveiled, Ideas that were never birthed, Books that were never written, Songs that were never sang, Plays that were never acted... But, congratulations to you all!!! The fact that you're still breathing is an opportunity to be the change/transformation our generation desire. Will you choose to fail your generation? Many mighty men you admire today didn't just get there by chance. Many took risk. Many failed a thousand time. What makes the difference is faith and determination. FAITH, calling those things that be not as though they were. FAITH, the opposite of FEAR. The faith of I can't see the success yet, but I'm getting there. The faith of I'm yet to birth this idea but I'm a success already. The faith that keeps you moving irrespective of the circumstances surrounding you. God knows fear is bound in the heart of man, so he reached out to us via his word, saying, 'fear not for I am with you.' So, write that book, sing that song, act that play, utilize that talent, shine your light, harness that skill, go for that appointment, birth that idea, with the consciousness that you're a success because you're created in the likeness of your father in heaven. FAITH is the opposite of FEAR So, when fear comes knocking, send faith to respond. It is FAITH over FEAR.

The World famous THOMAS EDISON. Thomas Edison came home and gave a sealed letter to his mother. He told her, “My teacher gave this paper to me and told me to only give it to my mother”. His mother’s eyes were tearful and then young Thomas asked his mother what was wrong. However, the poor woman read out the letter aloud to her son: "Your child is a genius. This school is too small for him and doesn’t have enough good teachers for training him. Please teach him yourself." Many years after Edison’s mother died, and at that time he had become one of the greatest inventors of the century. One day, while he was looking through the old family things he suddenly saw the folded paper his teacher gave him when he was a child in the corner of the drawer in a desk used by his mother. He took it and opened it up. On the paper it was written: "Your son is mentally ill and weak. Teaching a brain as slow as his, is a waste of time. He can never succeed in life. We won’t let him come to school anymore." Edison cried for hours and then wrote in his diary: “Thomas Alva Edison was a mentally ill child that, by the hero mother, became the genius of the century” Edison's mother believed so much in her son that not even the gravest letter would deter her from making him a success. But no one knew that this person would execute many inventions that people won’t forget him even after centuries! And the biggest learning of his success story was his 1000 attempts when he failed at his job. But he never stopped; his drive led him to astonishing success and now he is one of the world’s most famous success stories. Never give up on others. Edison's mother showed an example of a daunting faith and strong determination.
The need for clarity in Business Clarity is the best gift and compass you could have when running a business. Most business leaders assume their strategy is clear. But in reality, they are operating with a strategy that has not been clearly thought through—and this leads to confusion, unnecessary drama, and waste. But when you have the clarity, you can move with confidence and intention. Focusing on too many things can hurt your brand. And when you’re not clear about what brand or business is about, people get confused. Clarity is a behavioral platform that enables people to take action by delivering company information and communications in a way that people can understand and act on. Leaders use Clarity to share information with their teams, connecting strategy and goals to daily work, driving results from the top of the business to the front lines. **How does clarity works?** Before I explain what this entail, there are three common aspects of business clarity: Strategic Clarity Clarity of self Clarity of Communications. But I’ll only be discussing about **STRATEGIC CLARITY** Strategic clarity frames the direction of your business and how it will operate efficiently to hit its mark. With a healthy operating foundation, decisions will be made each day that continually reinforce your business purpose. And that results in better performance, more growth and higher profits **Why is this important in your business**? Knowing where your business is headed and how you’re going to get there helps: 1 Achieving the goal and strategy as it is known and articulated 2 Helps to clarify progress against previous performance and competitors. 3 Avoid distraction or shiny object syndrome 4 Makes you process repeatable or reviewable if you need to set up again 5 Gives opportunities to celebrate success, removing resentment of a constant unappreciated slog. 6 Focusses resources, time, money and energy. **What business often forgets their strategic clarity** Setting strategic direction for your business is about “where” and “how” you are going to get there, but often we forget the most important piece of the puzzle. Simon Sinek tells us to Start with Why. Look at why you started your business - What was it about the industry at the time that inspired you to create a new company? What did you see in your competitors or industry that drove you to improve upon it? The answer to these questions is where our smart strategy starts. As a leader, it’s your job to break down silos and bring people together so they understand how their work connects to the bigger picture and supports overall company goals. So if you want your team to stay motivated day after day, year after.
Creativity CREATIVITY is an act of being innovative. The ability to bring out the magic in your head to reality. The ability to make others see life and sense in your imaginations. The ability to use your skills to make the best of you. The only way to distinguish your potentials from others. In this millennium, the key to success lies basically in your creativity. We are aware of the competition all over. There are too many similar producers producing the same products, yet one sells better than the other. As consumers, we have tastes. There are ways we want the products to be fashioned. It takes creativity in production to satisfy the tastes of consumers. In the bid to be creative, you have to be well informed. Make Enquiries, researches, and experiments. Try to know what the consumer feels about your product, try to know what they expect from you, try to know if you have satisfied them. Have a foresight of what the consumers will expect in the nearest future and how to meet them. In any area of your interest, dare to be different. Do not go with the flow. Try new things that makes you different from others. Let your creativity distinguish your product. Be smarter and better everyday. Try to always be the best of you everyday. Do not let criticisms pull you down. When you fall in a pit, do not give in, instead fill it up and move on. Make necessary amendments. Creativity without good customer care can ruin your business. In everything you do, ensure you have a good relationship with your customers. Remember it takes just a customer to pull down your business and it takes just a customer to promote your business. Customers are always right too. Make sure you satisfy their wants in the best way you can. CREATIVITY is the backbone of a successful business. BE CREATIVITY
I have been away for a while now... Just choked up with some other activities, will be back very soon and strong 💪💪💪💪
Behind the scene If only one could evade the distress associated with learning and attending lectures, it'd have been a wonderful thing. Being a student is beyond just lectures, classes, and exams. It's beyond the learning activities that takes place in the school setting. There are several factors that when conglomerated, could deeply damage an individual as a student. The hardship and struggle for survival, psychological and emotional breakdown, emotional instability and immaturity, familial expectations, societal pressure, peer pressure, etc... These factors break a student before academics comes into the forefront. Unfortunately, most parents aren't cognizant of these factors. The most germane thing to them is how you should graduate with a good CGPA and avoid bad friends. Hours are spent on the notion that the university is filled with bad people and you are the only Saint amongst them. The best way to show them you are thankful for their support is to abstain from bad people and graduate with good CGPA while being oblivious of the fact that they have misplaced and displaced priorities. Students suffer a lot and go through hell just to make sure their parents are happy with them. Some who cannot cope with the "stress" most often breakdown psychologically or go through emotional instability thereby leading to mental incapacitation, cognitive impairment, which eventually leads to depression, suicide, addictions, etc... Misplaced priorities have done more harm than good to most students. It only takes a few strong and self-aware individuals to jump over these hurdles without much harm done to themselves. The priority should be the safety of the child emotionally and psychologically before academics is considered. It takes an emotionally stable individual with a good psychological balance to cope with the stress associated with the pursuit of academic excellence in this country.
How do you appear? HOW DO YOU APPEAR? There is a popular aphorism in pidgin that says 'Na clothes dey cover shame" Smiles "A folk recently approached me and said to me hey! EDDY you look smart and gorgeous most or if not all the time how do you do it? umm you get money o show me the way na" I looked at him, smiled and said bro come let me tell you something the young man you see don't even have an urgent 2k in his bank account as a matter of fact my current bank account is like a Jamb score or an FM Number smiles. I went further and said with all sincerity of heart I only have just 1 and a half pair of shoe Lol I guess you understand what I meant by 1 & half, 3sleeves, 2 ties, 2 trousers, a coat and some pairs of socks he was in optimum bewilderness but what makes the difference is the attitude of using the few you have to bring out the best in you. You don't appear in alignment with your present Situations but rather you appear with the picture of your anticipated future. Like a man said "it is better to begin the discipline of generosity when the amount is little similarly, No matter how infinitesimal your resources maybe at present, you must cultivate a habit of looking good and how do you do that you must have a touch of dress sense this allows you to make sense. It is significant to look smart and gorgeous irrespective of your meagre resources. If every average Nigerian or citizens at various nations of the world decides to dress according to their present unpleasant conditions you will be in shock @ what you see... Don't venture into something that will be detrimental to you out of envy because "You want to dress to Kill who are you killing? Lol make do with the little you have now, look good, keep pushing the best awaits you. After our conversation he looked at me and smiled🥰🥰
Is Forex trading the same as Gambling? **15th January 2022** One thing that both gambling and trading have in common is risk. When you make a trade or a bet you take a chance on losing money in the hopes of making more. You can both 'win' and 'lose' money in this game. But that's where the differences end ☝️. The main distinction between the two is the concept of '**probability**.' When you gamble, you are completely reliant on 'luck.' When you roll the dice in a casino, for example, you have no idea what number you'll get. When you trade, on the other hand, you may analyze the market and forecast where it will likely go. You can devise a trading strategy and set objectives for yourself. Trading has a logic to it, as well as the possibility to improve your odds of success. In forex trading, a gambler mentality will not lead to success 🤷🤷🤷. However, if you consider forex trading like gambling, it can quickly turn into a losing proposition. You can't set goals, analyze the market, or even grasp what you're doing if you don't know what you're doing. When you don't know what you're doing, forex trading can turn into gambling, and it can take various forms. When forex traders do not follow a trading plan, they almost always end up gambling. One of the most typical ways people gamble on the forex market is to chase losses. It's when a trader loses money and quickly tries to make up for it by placing more orders. This behavior is similar to that of a casino gambler who has lost a bet and then places another to make up for it. The result is a constant cycle in which the trader tries to recover their losses by making larger and larger trades, not just to recoup their losses, but also to perhaps generate a profit on top of their first trade. If a trader decides to use leverage in this terrible downhill spiral, things can get even riskier. As an example of pursuing losses, consider the following: At 1.1164, a trader opens a position on EUR/USD. The trader loses money when the position is closed at 1.1164. Instead of taking the loss, the trader panics and begins a new position with a larger lot, without even looking at the opening rate, in the hopes of recouping the prior loss and possibly making a profit, the exchange ends up costing them much more money. The trader panics once more and tries to reclaim everything. This procedure continues until the trader has nothing left. Of sure, they may recoup some of their losses at times, but if they continue along this route, they will finally lose everything. Most forex gamblers, on the other hand, are unlikely to have developed an addiction as a result of pursuing their losses. It's more likely that they began gambling after 'getting lucky' on one of their first trades and profited. This is referred to as **"beginner's luck."** Beginner's luck, on the other hand, can be more of a curse in many ways. This first victory may excite them, and they may mistakenly feel that they are on a "**lucky streak**" and that the money will keep coming in. They make more frequent trades, foolishly believing that they’ll strike lucky twice. To make things worse, they make bigger trades. To gamblers, it’s obvious, if this small trade worked then the next one, if larger, should also work and reap a larger reward. The thing to bear in mind about forex gambling is that the ‘trader’ isn’t necessarily chasing profits, but chasing the high of winning. And they’ll throw away all of their money just to replicate that feeling of their first win all over again. They trade more frequently, naively expecting that if they're lucky once, they'll be lucky twice. To make matters worse, they engage in larger exchanges. To gamblers, it's self-evident that if this little trade paid off, the following one, if greater, should likewise pay off. It's important to remember that when it comes to forex gambling, the 'trader' isn't necessarily looking for earnings, but rather for the rush of winning. And they'll gamble all of their money away only to relive the thrill of their first victory. Images sourced from Google.

Keep hustling... God is involve. It's obvious that there is no Nigerian artist that hasn't suffered before. Most of their songs emphasize on the "thing their eyes have seen" before they came into limelight. It's music I want to listen to but no, Rema and Lil-kesh won't want you to listen to good music without reminding you that nobody knew them when they were hustling in the streets. I appreciate Nigerian artists and their works a lot more than foreign artist. If you know me personally, you'll know that I don't have time for foreign music. Even Davido will soon remind us of his own hustling too. At Ojuelegba, they know Wizkid's story. Buju just told us that it's so "Cold outside". Lil-kesh "came from the ghetto yunno" and I think he has been called back to the ghetto. Almost every Nigerian artist want us to know how much they labored. Even Bella Shmurda went to "Alaba go buy Lapi. He hustled for six month and he didn't have anything but shout-out to his niggas wey dey always sub for am"... It's a good thing actually. For most of us that think life is a bed of roses and wishes were horses, they are trying to tell us how hard work, positivity, creativity, and consistency made them what they are today. There is no easy route to success. It always takes a price, a very huge amount of time to become what we want to be. It might take time, it might seem impossible, you'll surely get frustrated but the end is what you should always see from the beginning. We all have our visions, let's try to picture our vision in everything we do. It helps you to stay determined and focused. God help everyone of us. Stop the money thinking instead build your self. SELF-WORTH is measured by how rich you are. If you are not rich financially, then you do not have any value. You are as good as dead if you are not rich. To make impact and let people respect you, you need to have money. Sadly, this is how most people talk these days. To them, it's either you are rich or you do not have any value. Money is now a yardstick to measure how valuable they are. I love that aspect of reasoning but it doesn't motivate you to become valuable. Making money is necessary. It is very important. Who doesn't like money? Money answers a lot of prayers. Money is magical. Money makes life easy. What money cannot buy, more money will buy it 😂. Everyone loves money and wishes to be rich. The only thing that won't go down well with me is the orientation that without money, one is useless. If you keep telling yourself this, then you have started to depend on money to prove how valuable you are. Self-worth is how an individual builds himself that makes him able to acquire money. A person with reputable self-worth knows how well to invest his worth in acquiring wealth. A good sense of self is a priority before money. Money doesn't reveal the true identity of a man who has control over himself. Most people say money changes a man. Yes, money does. It changes a man who has not built himself before acquiring wealth. There are a lot of wealthy people who are not moved by how much they have in their accounts. You see a lot of rich people paying money to attend online tutorials and seminars. It's not because the money they have isn't enough, but they are not moved by it. Money doesn't control a man that knows himself, it only controls those who have no sense of self. There are a lot of people who have mastered themselves. What we should do before money comes is building ourselves so that when money comes, we can be able to control it. There are a lot of ways to make ourselves valuable. There are a lot of self-discovery books, financial education books, psychological books, seminars, religious books, etc... What you know is what helps you, not what you have. Money is good but it shouldn't mean the whole world to you. Even the richest men still pay to gain more knowledge. They have the money yet they still seek for knowledge which helps them discover what they can do and how to go about it. Don't allow yourself to be pressured into thinking that money is everything. What happens the day when what you know is supposed to save you, and you don't have anything?. Even when you have, and you still don't know anything, what would happen?. I do not expect this writeup to go down well with everyone. It's my reasoning. It's what I think because it is what I know. I do not in anyway generalize this writeup. Make money your target, but build yourself so you can be valuable. Sometimes, words from the wise heals more than a million dollar.
Speaking in tongues at the wrong time! Speaking in tongues while walking on the road is one thing I don't believe in. I just came across a post where a person said she's celebrating the grace of speaking in tongues while walking. Well, I still do not understand how that is something worth celebrating. To me, if I come across anyone praying in tongues while walking, I just see them as Oversabi Christians. There was one night I went to my uncle's aunt's house on close to my campus to eat and return back to the Academe, where I was reading my books. On my way back to the Academe, a lady was walking right in front of me and she was muttering some things I didn't hear properly. It was late at night, something around 1am and I quickly thought she was either an evil spirit or she was losing it, or she was reading something from her phone which she was obviously operating. I quickened my pace to ascertain what was going on with her and as I approached her, I heard the "tongues" clearly. Well, I wasn't surprised because this is not the first time I'll come across people like that but what amazed me was that she was pressing her phone and speaking in tongues at the same time. How is she going to concentrate? Although, I don't know what must have incited the speaking of tongues. She could be reading a religious post from her whatsapp which required that she prayed about something but at least, she should get to her hostel before she starts praying. Most students do this in my school and I find it very annoying. Although, I'm not God to answer their prayers, nor to judge whether it is right or wrong to pray in tongues while walking, I just find it quite annoying. The holy spirit is in everyone but the Bible has instructed us in the New testament that we should seclude ourselves whenever we want to pray to him and he will answer us in a way the whole world will see. The Bible has also made it known that only hypocrites pray and open the door so that other people will see them praying. It's not other people that will answer their prayers but God. God is everywhere, we all know that. But some extremist have taken Christianity to be more than what it is. If I ever come across anyone "Celebrating grace of tongues" on my way, I'll think something is definitely wrong with the person. I don't know much about the Bible, I only understand what I read. This post is what I think about praying in tongues on the road and you can have a different opinion on it which I will highly welcome and humbly learn from. Images from unsplash.com
My thoughts on what a Relationship should be Being in a relationship is a necessity to human survival. There are times we have mood swings, times we are hurt and we need a bucket to cry our hearts out, times we need to be loved, times we want to discuss at length, times we need romantic texts and cuddles, times we just need to know that someone cares about us, times we feel insecure. These times can only be comforted with an opposite sex. No matter how close one might be with same sex, the need for an opposite sex cannot be underestimated. Now talking about relationships, a relationship cannot work without the efforts of the partners involved. There aren't assigned roles in a relationship. There are some of us that are extremely shy to even cuddle our girlfriends, we are so shy to appreciate their beauty and pulchritude. Our girlfriends would wait hoping that someday we will eventually kiss them, hug them, appreciate them, and so on but it won't happen. You know why?. It's because being in a relationship in my part of the world, a guy is always expected to make the first move. He must be the first to ask the girl out even when she's crazily in love with him, he must be the first to call everyday, he must be the first to text or chat up, he must be the first to make every romantic move. Yet, we call it a relationship. There is nothing bad if the girl does all this thing first. You have feelings for me? Sis 🤷 just make it known to me so you won't waste your time thinking I feel the same for you. I didn't call you and you are feeling bad🤷, then why is it called a relationship? First of all, I want you to know that being in a relationship is not a sole responsibility. It's a joint one, and that's why those in a relationship refer to themselves as partners. If you notice a flaw or weakness in your partner, make sure you help them in every possible way to overcome it. I'm not saying you should go overboard and make unnecessary mistakes but try to help your partner improve in every aspect they are lagging. One thing I was made to realize is that, whatever personality or character we want in our partners only exists in our head. The mental picture of the traits you want in a boy/girl only exists in your head. Whatever picture you have in your head doesn't exist in real life, it's just an illusion but it can be created when you start to help your partner develop into what you have in your head. You might want a romantic boyfriend and unfortunately your partner isn't romantic, nothing stops you from helping him to be romantic. Many people also believes it's the man that is supposed to fend for the family all the time and it's the woman that should be in the kitchen , in this 21st century? I always ask in my mind whenever I hear it anywhere, it's a wrong ideology to me. My personal view of what can make a good relationship is the joint effort put in place by both parties financially , I personally can be comfortable with a girl who don't know how to cook but has an headstart ( a skill that can assist in earning) and has a humble spirit once she has this two attribute she is good to go, you see the aspect of the cooking or any other thing i can teach her, there is a saying that says Rome wasn't built in a day and no one is perfect. Instead of breaking up on the grounds that he/she is not my type, he/she is not smart, romantic, mature, and every other excuses we give, let's try to help each other develop. No one is perfect. As humans, we are not born with equal potentials. So let's try to make our partners benefit from our potentials. Give a thought on this short piece my readers, the comment section is free to air your own view. Thanks love you all Images credited to unsplash.com
Stop the critics! Everyone has a shit to cover. This post was inspired by the hot shit (feaces) that woke me up from bed this morning after I had taken a lot of junks last night. Isn't it funny how we can stare at our shits(feaces) without getting irritated by the sight and then we flush it, but we cannot stare at another person's shit (feaces) without getting irritated?. Your shit(feaces) doesn't irritate you no matter how bad the form is, you stare at it and it stares back at you, then you flush without blinking. Some people have normalized accepting their wrongs and seeing it as if nothing happened but when someone else does something bad, they are the first to criticize. You criticize other people because you are the Saint whose shits ( mistakes) are covered with the blood of your tolerance but you cannot tolerate other people's faults or misdeeds. We all, at some point in life, make some mistakes. We do things wrongly even when we know it's wrong yet we cover up our shits (mistakes) and pretend like nothing ever happened. It's normal to do that. The only abnormal part is when you criticize other people when they do something wrongly. If you can cover up your shit so perfectly, you should as well try to cover your mouth and mind your business when it's another person in question. Critics go about believing they are the first sons of Saint Michael and Holy Gabriel. They always find faults, they are the first to point out mistakes. They watch out for mistakes in everything you say or do so they can stand a chance to prove they are wiser. A lot of parents fall in this category. They place their focus on other people's children while leaving their children because they believe their children are well trained. Eventually, when their child fucks up or does something bad, they try to cover up for the child but it is highly unforgivable if it wasn't their child. I have seen parents like this whose shit doesn't stink to them but that of others stinks badly and they cannot tolerate it. In case you do not still understand this post, I'm just trying to say we should be bold enough to expose our bad deeds and if we cannot, then we shouldn't go about criticizing people. If your shit smells to you, and mine smells to you, then it is a fair world. But if your shit is pleasant in your sight and mine isn't, then your judgment isn't right.... I never knew honest people still exist....... I would sleep at my friend's place tonight. I left my house very late this night, i was preparing what I would eat when I get to their house. It's late already, they would have emptied their pots if at all they prepared dinner. I had just two hundred and fifty naira with me which I'd use as my transport fare to their house but I wanted to maximize the two hundred and fifty naira since it's my last cash. Instead of taking bike from the estate gate, I decided to trek to the junction, at least it'd reduce the cost of transportation. I got to the junction, a bikeman was there already waiting to see if I'd call on him. I went to him and told him where I was headed, "I'm going to , how much is it?" I asked. "na 200 bro" he replied without looking at my face. "200 as how? Na 150 naira i get I sharply replied. Normally, it won't take me 30mins to trek from my junction to Edetalen but it's late already and Edetalen is vividly ahead of us, it's not supposed to be more than 100 naira but because it's late already the bike men increased the price. I looked away as if trying to flag down another bike when he later responded. "You get change?" No o, Na two hundred naira I get I answered back. He urged me climb on and we'll look for how to change the money when we got to Edetalen. It wasn't upto 7 minutes and we were already at Edetalen. He stopped at the front of a roadside lady that sells fried potatoes and Akara. He asked her to sell him Akara worth fifty naira but the lady didn't have change also so he didn't bother to patronise her again. I collected the two hundred naira from him and checked a shop nearby if they had fifty naira change but they didn't too. The bikeman was a bit pissed. He asked me to give him the two hundred naira so he would go elsewhere to look for change. I gave him the two hundred naira to look for change and that's how I stood for over ten minutes waiting for this bikeman to return my fifty naira change. In other to keep myself busy i decided to buy fifty naira akara from the girl. The young girl selling bread by the roadside was already laughing at me. I wouldn't have cared about the fifty naira anymore. It's something I could give him but I wanted to see if he'd return the change. One of my ex-housemate came to buy bread from the young girl, I narrated everything that happened and how I'm still waiting to see if the bikeman would return. I was there for close to 20 minutes without any trace of the bikeman. Wow, so this guy ran away with my fifty naira? People Sha 🤦♂️, I silently thought to myself. I was standing at the front of my friend's house, stretching my neck and shining my eyes brightly, looking out for the bikeman but he didn't come so I decided to forget the money and go inside. I already turned my back when I saw someone that resembled him, I looked back and behold, the guy came back. He was also looking for me. I waved him over and he handed me the fifty naira change. I was glad he came back. At least he proved me wrong that good people still exist in this country. He explained how he went back to where he carried me from just to make sure he got the change for me. I thanked him for his honesty and collected my change. That's how the writeup for this night came up. I wanted to write about something different but tonight's event is worth sharing with everyone. I still believe that there are good people out there, just be good to others and good things will continue to happen to you.
Looks Dirty? Leave it i say! Good morning all ! Hope you all are enjoying 2022. Woke up and decided to share this little piece. When I was a kid I had a physical contact with my Dad , he said something I will forever cling to. He is a mechanic. Not a roadside mechanic though. He said " most times when people hear about mechanics, they have this mentality that mechs are always poor and dirty but the reason I have always wanted to be a mechanic was because I loved the dirt and stains. Weird, isn't it?. As a young child, I have always fancied everything my Dad brought home including his bike. I always admired the way a mechanic would work on the bike whenever it's faulty. I really wanted to be like them. If people do not want to become mechanics because it's a dirty work, I wanted to become a mechanic because of the stains involved. Yes, people laughed at me. But their laughter won't provide my meals. If I had stopped learning to become a mechanic because of the mockery people made of me, I won't be where I am today. And look at it, those same people that once laughed at me are now very proud of what I have achieved today. I enjoyed being dirty. If there was no stains in the work, I will make sure I get myself stained just because I enjoyed being dirty with the work. If I had stopped to pursue my dreams because of what other people said about me, those same people would have said more seeing that I'm Jobless without anything to show off". That day, i learnt another beautiful thing about life. People will surely talk and say nasty things about whatever you have chosen to do. As far as their talks won't satisfy my needs, their talks won't put food on my table, I won't be ashamed or feel intimidated by whatever they say. The same people will laugh at me in the future when I have nothing to show. The same people will laugh at me when I ask them for help. The same people will tongue-lash me with insults when I ask them for something. The same people will blame me for not being serious with my life. The same people will blame me for not hustling when my mates were hustling. If you ever feel you need the consent and approval of others to become someone in life, then you are still dreaming. It's hightime you woke up from your slumber and do something without minding what anyone says. Something lucrative and legal though.... REMEMBER those that laughed at you when you started will rejoice with you when you finally succeed, and if you give up because people laughed at you, remember the same people are waiting for you in the future to laugh at you more for being unserious. Heal the injury on your body first... Yesterday's afternoon, I wanted to see a friend that lives in the next street. That noon, a fierce whirlwind had earlier swept the roads making it seem like our community was expecting the president to visit any moment. I walked majestically out of my gate and observed the street for some seconds before I hit the road walking with charisma like the president they were expecting. I had barely walked two houses away from my house when I saw an aged woman in her late fifties beating a little child with a stick. The mother of the child urged her to beat the child very well and she obliged. The young boy tried to run to his mother maybe she could do something about his condition but she pushed him to meet the old woman so she could beat him very well. I wasn't surprised. Disciplining a child didn't decline the offer for an outsider to help train a child. However, the old woman that was beating this young child has a grown up son who is now an Area boy. He smokes a lot to an extent that the color red becomes a counterfeit upon seeing his eyeballs, he keeps a dreadlock that mad people don't wear on their heads, his lips are very dark and he looks quite unkempt. He doesn't have a job or anything reasonable to do. Everyday, he stands by the roadside hailing every vehicle he sees, shouting at the top of his voice while requesting some spare cash to buy "Smoke". He steals phones from people to sell and he once told me that he hacked his sister's Facebook account and sold it off to one yahoo guy like that. Sponsors Block (?) https://read.cash/@Read.Cash/get-sponsors-a2b66c10 Something is wrong somewhere I said, as I continued walking to my friend's house. Here's a an old woman whose son isn't well groomed yet she's helping another parent to discipline her child. This doesn't sound right, right? Here's the main the problem I want to talk about. I have seen so many parents that their children rot under their roof yet they go about trying to teach other people's children. They are too blind or rather ignorant to see the bad behaviors in the lives of their children. They neglect their primary duty and employ themselves with the responsibility of criticizing the way other children live. To these parents, their children are very trained so they try to help train other people's children. It's this type of parents that will stop you on the road and start insulting you just because of your mini skirt or sagged trousers. They can even pay your parents a visit just to report that you didn't greet them that evening when you passed before them. They completely put their focus on other people's children believing that their own children cannot misbehave. Should I tell you how funny life is? You see those kids you wasted your time trying to train, they might not remember you when they finally succeed. Even if they will, it will take a long time before they remember that you exist. Do you care to know how ironical life could be? You see the parents of those kids you trained will laugh at you when your own kids eventually begin to misbehave around. If you could train other people's children so well, what happened to your own kids? They will make jest of your inability to train your children and you'll regret your stupidity eventually. Just imagine, if that old woman had mistakenly hit the stick on the little boy's nose while he was struggling to dodge her cane strikes and his nose starts bleeding seriously. What will people say?. Let me answer that question. "look at her, she can beat other people's children but her own child lacks home training". "if she can beat so well, she should have done it on her child, probably his life won't be that worse" People would say worse than what I've written. Nobody will care to even listen that the child's mother had urged her to beat the child more. The whole blame will transferred to her. She won't be happy with herself. I cannot say it is wrong to help train or discipline another person's child but before you throw a stone, make sure you do not live in a glass house. Make sure that you have trained your children well enough before you start training other people's children. Let the home training in your child train other children. Instead of wasting your time on other people's children, train your children so that their lifestyle can train other people's children.

They are really different from reality..... **ASSUMPTION, PRESUMPTION AND REALITY** There is a problem with thinking which so many people do not know, and this problem is PRESUMPTION OR ASSUMPTION. You think everything is wrong with you because you assume everything is well with the other person. Assumptions and presumptions are two synonyms which influences our behaviors, response, reactions toward things, people, situations, and ourselves. Many relationships have crashed because of the Assumptions and Presumptions of one partner or the other. Presumptions aren't real neither is assumption, however, these two words have done so many wrongs in our daily association and activities with people and our surroundings. Assumption isn't the same as being realistic, presumption isn't the same as reality. Most times, we tend to be presumptuous before we realize the damages we have done to ourselves and others. It's very okay to think about causes of the changes in a person's behavior, it's okay to think that something really caused the change in a person's behavior but the place where it is utterly wrong is when you presume that your thoughts are true. People go through a lot of things, some people like to dissociate themselves whenever they are going through difficult times, some people stopped talking to you for a reason, some people had to change their behaviors for a reason, some people cannot just continue to be who you always thought they were, yet, without being rational, we just presume it's something we think of that has caused the change in their behavior. One thing I have always loved to talk about is a change of mindset. The mindset should be that whenever things are being erratic, it's okay to think of possible precipitations of the erratum but we should not always be presumptuous in concluding our thoughts. It's better to hear from the person than to believe in what we think. **DREAMS AND REALITY** We all have envisioned how we would like to live our lives. We have planned how everything is going to work for us and how successful we will be someday. We dream of greatness every moment. We feel this unending and irresistible passion to keep moving forward. There are two worlds on earth: The dream world, and the world of reality. In the dream world, it's easy to become anything. You can easily see yourself anywhere - at the Nigeria house of assembly, in a comfortable palace with so many slaves at your service, in an outside country enjoying a vacation with your family, owning a big company with a lot of employees. You could be anything in the dream world. What keeps you going is because of your dream. It's your dream that keeps you on track and make you persistent. It's just a dream. Sometimes, we wish we could just live in our dreams. It's time to wake up!! - Reality screams. In your world of pleasure and ease where you could be anything in seconds, you suddenly feel a wicked tap on your back and you immediately wake up to see REALITY smiling cynically at you. "Wake up!!" it shouts again. You try to focus on your dreams but you are unable to go back to sleep. Reality has disrupted your peaceful sleep. You cannot focus on your dreams again. You wake up with burdened shoulders everyday. "What kind of life is this" - you ask yourself each day. This is absolutely not what you saw yourself doing in your dream. Sometimes, memories of what you would be in your dreams flashes across the hardship reality has offered, and you cry bitterly at how unfair reality is treating you. The future is blur like rain falling on the windscreen of car without a wiper, the road cannot be clearly seen. Reality has broken you beyond repair. Your dreams continue to fade everyday and you wander in a lost world where you would be anything but fulfilled. Most people in this country are lost in this world of reality. Welcome to life, welcome to reality. It's not always easy and it promises to keep you always busy. In this world of reality, there are certain elements which are needed to survive and can lead you back to the dream world, where you could be anything you want to be. Life isn't fair "LIFE ISN'T FAIR "....This is what everyone knows but we fail to acknowledge. Most times, we come online to post valuable or irrelevant things and you feel inspired by our write-ups. TO some people, our life seem very perfect. We do not have challenges or problems we face daily. We write to inspire, teach, and pass informations on this app. We are demigods who understand life so well, how could we possibly have problems when we know so much about problem-solving?. I used to think like this too... Life could have been fair if those perceptions above were correct. I wish to sleep and wake up the next morning knowing that I do not have any problem. I wish I could proudly tell y'all that my life is very perfect with no storm shaking me vigorously and rigorously. I wish I have that perfect life y'all think I have. I wish to live every day of my life without worries. But..... LIFE ISN'T FAIR. Life gives us the same piece of cake in different flavors. Life gives us the same cup of tea with different tastes. Life gives us the same air to breath yet some still use the oxygen mask. But above all, life gives us every chance to change life. Life gives us every chance to change lives. Life gives us every chance to live life. So, How do you want to live your life? Worrying about life? It'd be a waste of time worrying over what you have but it is not a waste of time using what you have to change lives. No one lives a perfect life, no one ever will. You think some people's lives are perfect? Move closer to them, and you'll see the pains hiding behind their smile. We all have our storms, challenges, problem, shortcomings, weaknesses, yet we try to survive each day with a smile of triumph even when we fail. Your first step to life should be with the acknowledgement that LIFE ISN'T FAIR. Everyone is trying to survive.... Images credited to unsplash.com
Steps to a fruitful New year. Part 5,6 & 7. 5) LIFE IS NOT A COMPETITION. This part will make me travel back to my secondary school days. During my secondary school days, I was a very lazy reader. The only times I had to read was during examinations and test period. However, I still had my stand at the top two students in the class. Even till date, I still hate to read. The mystery of how I still managed a top spot in the class is what I'll reveal today. In my class, I was always in competition with anyone trying to score above me. When I assess our test scores and you seem to have scored a higher percentage than me, I'll make you my target. I have to beat you no matter what. Although, it was fun while I was still in this competitive habit. I made sure to outsmart any one during test and exams. The teachers loved me and complimented my brilliancy. My only weakness was Mathematics and all the teachers knew about it. I moved to another school when I was in sss3. In the new school, my class was a very competitive one. Like, all my classmates were very competitive. During exams, I'll make sure I read because I want to prove to them that I was the best. I actually tried but it wasn't enough. I wasn't standing at the top 10 if I look at it but I still managed to be the best in three subjects. To me, everything was a competition or, rather permit me to say that I am naturally competitive. But reality dawned on me when I was admitted into the University. I thought it was all about being the first or the best. First semester 100level, I found it very hard to balance myself. In secondary school, I loved to read with my classmates. We come in groups to read and I always made sure to cram everything before anyone does, I always made sure I knew all the definitions ahead of everyone. But in the University, the competition stopped. I don't know how to read alone, I'm not used to it. I found it very difficult to read and grasp the content quickly. At the end of the semester, my results were not bad but it wasn't what I expected. It was then I realized that being competitive doesn't mean you are the best. It only means you want to get ahead of everyone without focusing on bringing the best out of yourself. 2022 is around the corner. The only competition that you should duly participate in is a competition against your yesterday. Everyday, compete with yourself to be better than how you were yesterday. Life gives us every chance to bring out the uniqueness in ourselves. Do not live everyday trying to beat others when you have not had a glimpse of the uniqueness in you. Instead of being in competition against others, compete with yourself. Life is not a race nor a competition. 6) BE KIND Earlier, I read a post of a lady that went to a supermarket to purchase some things. At the mall, she helped a little boy who playfully got lost to locate his mother in the mall. The boy's mother was indeed grateful to the lady and they exchanged contacts. The next Monday, the boy's mother called the lady and asked her to come over to her office and that was how the lady's life was changed completely. The boy's mother employed her to be her Personal Assistant. Her salary was close to half a million monthly despite the weekly allowance she gets for feeding and transportation. It's a true life story. The lady when she posted her story was opening her own house that she built in less than a year. Being kind is one important behaviour to possess. You don't have to know who is who before you show a bit of kind act towards anyone. Being kind shouldn't be with the intention that it must be reciprocated. It doesn't matter whether another person is kind or will be kind to you. You just have to be kind to everyone. There are many ways of showing kindness. You can choose whatever way you deem fit to express your kindness. We have heard stories of how little kindness turns things around for some people. Be kind to everyone around you in 2022. You don't know how that little kindness you show today goes a long way to help you tomorrow. 7) THE MAJOR FACTOR - GOD. Starting the new year without God will not be good enough. There is only one person that knows how your new year is going to be. There is only one person who will lead you in the right path to success. There is only one person who will stand by you against all odds. There is only one person who won't bother you for money or food to eat. There is only one person who can make all your plans planned already. That person is always at your door. To think that you can do things on your own is foolishness. To think that you can plan your life and live according to your plan is foolishness. The only master planner is God. Things I planned earlier this year didn't go well. It is only with God that your plans can become reality. In your journey into the new year, commit yourself to God. Ask for everything you want in his name. Let God be the first thing in your life, for with God all things are possible. Since it is impossible to not sin, let your sin be minimal and ask for forgiveness whenever you do. Do not neglect the ways of God for the ways of men. Do not be deceived by what anyone says concerning your life. Only God knows tomorrow... How you want to spend your new year, talk to God about it and believe that he is working with your plans and his plans for your life... Images credited to unsplash.com Just few minutes to the new year I wish everyone a FRUITFUL 2022 ahead in Jesus' name. ♥

Steps to a fruitful New year 3 & 4. 3) Work with TIME, not with DAYS. As we make our plans for the forthcoming year, let us always remember to work with time. The only possible way to change things is to start immediately. A new year is just every other day we've lived through. Nothing makes it special except for the calendar. Everyday is a new year. You still have enough time in a day to get things working out. Working with TIME and not DAYS simply means; instead of making plans to start tomorrow or next week, why not start immediately?. Time doesn't wait for anyone, it keeps counting. Every second, every minute, every hour, they all count in our lives. It is not the days that matters. I can decide to visit my hometown next week Monday and when the day comes, I might postpone it to the other week Monday. But the time I've wasted, I cannot regain it. Time doesn't wait. If you are making plans towards the new year, you have to start acting on it now. You don't have to wait till you get to 2022. We live to see everyday repeat itself every week and every month but we cannot re-experience or recover the time we have lost. In 2022, work with time. Do not mind the days, they will always come back but time won't come back. Tick says the clock, tick! tick!! What you have to do, do quick!! Another step to a fruitful New year goes thus 👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇👇 4) DELETE IRRELEVANT CONTACTS/FRIENDS. There are so many people that have no value to add to our lives. They are just in our lives for no reason. These set of people should be deleted from our lives with immediate effect. Some of them are pretentious, some are envious, some are bad energy, some are full of negativity; they always give bad advice and are always pessimistic. There are so many hypocrites lurking around in our lives. Journeying into the new year with these same set of people can only mean one thing; a repetition of the previous year. To experience the evolution and revolution we are clamoring for, it is imperative to know that some people are impediments to our success and it's only going to take a step to remove them from our lives which is; to block and unfriend them in every possible way. Do not think that you won't achieve your dreams without certain people in your life. No one is God and no one is indispensable. Although, it takes the effort and support of some people to make you successful and those people are the positive force that motivates you. Still, there are some other irrelevant people in our lives. Some contacts on our phones are just there for no reason. Some people will even update their status in flashy and catchy stuffs thereby making one feel like a failure. They are just there to oppress you and make you lose hold of yourself. This isn't about being envious or jealous, it's about being able to create space for people that will educate you with their status, it's about feeling confident that one day your hustle will pay off, it's about feeling developing a feeling of confidence in oneself, it's about being positive that you are better than how you used to be. If you want a change in any aspect of your life, you want your business to move faster, you want to be the best academically, you want to develop yourself, you want to live in your dreams, then you have to create space for positive people to come in and this change can only be effective when you delete the irrelevant people in your life. The world is not just very big, it is also occupied with people. People who can affect your life either positively or negatively, people who can help you achieve your dreams or people that will shatter your dreams, people who can help you get better or people who will make you feel inferior. It is your choice to decide whether or not these people will follow you into the new year. There are still more steps to be released towards to the close of the new year 2022 Kindly read through and be ready to ACT. Stay tuned. Steps to a successful New year Part 2. 2) FORGIVE YOURSELF I know this may sound absurd but it is true. Learning to forgive yourself is golden. It gives you a clear head to start over, learn from your mistakes, map out a neat plan on how to forge ahead. Learning to forgive yourself makes you free from limitations. How do you forgive yourself? It's very simple. Learning to accept yourself as imperfect, and seeing everything as an experience. That is simply life; an experience. Learning to accept blame and be responsible for your every actions, learning to accept new beliefs. Learning to move forward rather than lagging on your faults. Forgiving oneself has an ability to make you free from your conscience. There are some things I did this year and they made me mentally sick for days until I came to realize that I needed to forgive myself. So many of us must have mapped out how we wanted to live this year, the amount of progress we would have made by the end of the year. And now, the year has ended with very little achievements to show for, it would definitely make us depressed. We see other people achieving same thing we also wanted but we couldn't, and then, we feel like we have failed woefully. Learn to forgive yourself. Forgive yourself for the promises you couldn't keep, the goals you couldn't meet, the progress you couldn't make. There's is always time for everything, it may not be under a favourable condition, but as long as there is life, there is hope. Forgiving yourself should come first. Bring all your lamentations to before you, think of how bad you behaved, remind yourself of the nasty behaviours that hindered your progress, then forgive yourself and repent. Your repentance here is personal, do not recidivate, move forward completely. Let your new year begin with a new heart. Image credited to unsplash.com Thanks to my upvoters and commenters, you guys are really a motivation. Happy New year in advance guys.
Steps To A Fruitful New Year 1:DO NOT THINK ALONE, ACT. There is a popular saying that goes "he who fails to plan, plans to fail". At the beginning of this year, a lot of ideas might be have gone through our heads. Ideas that will bring out the best in us, ideas that will turn our lives around, ideas that will benefit the society at large but right now, there's nothing profitable coming out of those ideas. A lot of us are millionaires but the millions are not in our accounts, it's in in our head. I'm sure some people have started to think about how successful 2021 is going to be. However, if it's by what we think, everyone of us will be billionaires. We will have nothing to worry over since our thoughts make us rich. One good step to take in 2021 is to ACT. You have that idea that can change the world at large, so what is stopping you from acting on what you already have in your head?.... I attended a seminar in OAU last year before the Presidential election. Omoyele Sowore was the speaker on that day. He lectured us on so many things to do with our lives and when it was time for questions, a guy came out and complained about his financial incapacities and how it grossly affected his business plan. He pleaded to Sowore for some financial assistance. If Sowore had assisted that guy financially, I'm sure he would go bankrupt that day because everyone of us have ideas in our heads but we are not financially buoyant. However, Sowore didn't give him any money as he requested, but he gave him a valuable piece of advice. Although, I can't state verbatim as he replied but I understood the advice he gave to the guy.. He said " it's one thing to have the idea, and it's another thing to make your idea realistic. If I give you that money today, you might not value the success of your idea because you didn't labor for it. Instead, I'll advise that you look for someone that shares the same business idea with you. You guys can then become partners that will make the business stand. There is always someone who has the same idea you have in your head". That scene up there insinuates that your financial status isn't an impediment. There are companies that can sponsor you, there are banks and apps that are ready to provide you with loans, there are people out there that are ready to help you achieve your dreams. A very funny experience i had with my kid sister Good morning readers, Just woke up to hiss my self in the toilet and this funny experience just flashed to my brain and I thought it wise to share. My kid sister returned home from school one Friday afternoon. There won't be school the next day since it's weekend and you know in primary schools, hairstyles are always recommended for the female students. So this afternoon, she came back from school. Blessing: mummy, our hairstyle for next week is Pineapple. Mum: oh, your elder sister will help you plait it, don't worry. On a Friday afternoon, my younger sister came home from school. Because it is the weekend, there will be no school the next day, and as you may know, hairstyles for female pupils are always suggested in primary schools. She returned from school this afternoon. Blessing: Mummy, next week's hairdo is Pineapple. Mum: Oh, don't worry, your big sister will help you plait it. Blessing: plait what? She is not going to plait it o. Our teacher said we will buy pineapple and tie it on our head to school. Everyone laughed at her 😂 😂 😂... It was very funny. How can your teacher ask you to buy pineapple and tie on your head? That's not what she meant jhor. The name of the hairstyle is **pineapple**, you don't have to tie any **pineapple** and carry it to school. Blessing: It's not going to be plaited o. Our teacher says that we buy pineapple and wear it on our head to school. Everyone was laughing at her... It was quite amusing. How can your teacher expect you to go out and buy pineapple to wear on your head? that's not what she meant jhoor. The hairstyle is called ***pineapple*** , and you don't have to put any pineapples on your head or carry them to school. My younger sister sobbed the entire weekend and refused to plait her hair. She complained that if she did not bring a pineapple to school the next Monday, her class instructor would beat her. We tried to explain that she misunderstood her teacher, but it was all in vain. ***Can you Guess what next?*** We did, in fact, purchase the pineapple. The pineapple was purchased and consumed over the weekend. This caused her to cry even harder. Blessing: I'm supposed to bring pineapple to school, and that's what you're eating. If I arrive at school now, my teacher will begin to beat someone. Next week, I will not kuku go to school. Everyone will wear a pineapple on their head to school, and I will be the only one who will be left out.... Next week i am not going to school oo she exclaimed It was the most hilarious thing that had ever happened in our house. Every time she protested, we laughed. It was hilarious. While Blessing was asleep on Sunday night, my sister or mother helped her plait her hair so she could go to school the next day, Monday. When Blessing woke up on Monday morning and discovered that my mother had helped her plait her hair overnight, she began crying and lamenting all over again. Blessing: Who told you to plait this nonsense on my hair? Is this the hairstyle my aunty requested? .. It's better if you get rid of it now, oo. I'm not going to school like this. Leave me alone, please. I won't be going to school today.... That morning, Sha we were able to coerce her into going to school. My older sister followed her so she could inquire about the situation. When she got to the school, she requested to see her teacher She asked the teacher what she told the students. The teacher said she only made a joke out of the hairstyle when a student asked if they would buy the pineapple and tie to school. She was only being sarcastic with her reply but Blessing thought otherwise. It was at that moment Blessing became calm knowing that her teacher won't flog her. I just decided to share this funny experience with you guys. Let's be careful of the information we pass to our young ones and students. They believe things easily and this will definitely affect their developmental stages. Misinformation or wrong information should be avoided at all cost. Image credited to news.onecountry.com
