The book of Acts depicts the activities of the apostles and the Holy Spirit. It tells us about the descent of the Holy Spirit upon the apostles of Jesus Christ which granted them special abilities. This was the power of God falling upon his Generals and companions, the Lord is wonderful. We are no different from the apostles, whatever the Apostles could do in those times we can do them now. God created all of us equal and in his own image because he had a purpose for us. The Apostles played their role excellently, now it is our turn to play our role by spreading the gospel of the all around the as fast as we can. There is no much time on our hands, rapture is drawing near so we are to do our best by putting our best and our heart on the line.

The first lesson learnt from this verse is that whenever the children of God gather or come together to pray and worship him, he is always there to hear our prayers. Jesus Apostles were seated together and praying when the Holy Spirit descended on them and transformed their lives for the better. God brought the Apostles together so that they can bring the world together in one accord and that is why when there are church gatherings, the Lord is always there and miracles, signs and wonders will always be made manifest. The presence of God portends glad tidings, miracles and testimonies, that is why it is good to do things together.

Next lesson to learn from this wonderful verse is that Christians should ask and pray to God, our Father in Heaven, for the Holy Spirit to come into their lives and make them changed people. When the Holy Spirit comes into the life of an individual, the blessings and the gifts of the holy spirit will be showered upon and ushered into the life of the individual. Sinning against the Holy Spirit is a sin that will be surely paid for so it is important for an individual to keep a pure and clean. This will give assurance that he is not an enemy of the Holy Spirit and not an enemy of his own progress. God keeps the Holy one in the lives of individuals so that their heart will be pure and free from every evil. If God turns his eyes away from any individual that person is doomed for life, the individual will lack guidance and protection.

Lastly anyone can grab from this bible text that whatever God promises to do and whoever God promised, the Lord will do it. The Apostles were promised by Jesus that they will not be baptized by water but by the Holy Ghost. This promise came to pass and this shows that God never gives up on what he says. He has promised He will never fail and surely He will never fail. The generals of God were brought together because they had a purpose for God. They were given Power from God to defeat every demon or wizard that came to their presence.
