A street hawker is a person who sells different kinds of things by moving from street to street. He is a familiar figure in the streets of a city or a town or a different stations.
A street hawker is a self employed person. In a village, he is also seen. He wears a peculiar dress of different colours and makes a peculiar sounds to draw the attention of his customers.
I live in a village. Street hawker is seen in my village almost everyday. They goes to different villages for selling his things to the villagers. Everyday I saw 2 or 3 street hawker.
A street hawker carries his things either in bundles or in a basket on head and sometimes in hands. Sometimes he has a small handcraft. He generally buys his goods at a cheaper rate and sells them at a good profit.
His work is tiresome. His goods are mainly attracted to women and children. He usually sells toys, cosmetics, sweets, ribbons, fruits etc. Generally in the absence of the housemaster, he comes to sell his goods.
He usually starts his job early in the morning and finishes his works at night.
A street hawker is a very poor person. He leads a very poor and very simple life.
He works hard all day and all night long to earning money and for supporting his family.
He is the only one earning member of his whole family. That's why he has to work hard. Sometimes he has to starve and his family members also has to starve when he cannot get enough money for buying daily foods for his family.
He leads his everyday life with honesty. Sometimes, some rich people of our society behaves very hard, misbehave with them which is not good at all.
We should have soft feelings for them. We should not misbehave with them. Rather, we should help them. They are a part of our society.
Those street hawkers are truly admirable. Salute to all street hawkers who are working hard to feed their family.
