One Ruler at a time!

In the current era, the role of youth has been very vibrant and significant especially that the millennials are given more opportunities to exhibit responsibilities entrusted to them, and the choices they firmly chose for themselves contributing enormously to the communities and organizations where they belong.

To attain oneness within the group, one must lower his pride.

Given the fact that all members of the group are exerting efforts to achieve their task, still one leader must arouse to lead the group. Spearheaded by the assigned leader, the members will raise suggestions and recommendations about the things they need to do for the betterment of their work. Thus, most students conduct a brainstorming activity to look for good ideas that might generate better outcomes.

However, when the time of decision making comes, most of the groups couldn’t decide which idea should be followed. One reason of this problem is the ego of the members. Students commonly insist their own ideas to create an output base on how they foresee the image result.

Somehow they disregard the authority of the leader to manage and to consult the pulse of the team members as they assert own beliefs and stand firm for it. Although the head of the group has the final say when decision making comes, still he could never conclude decisions without the consensus of the whole members. Therefore it results to unified and unorganized group.

On the other hand, this problem is also present in different groups most commonly in social groups like student council or professional board members. For the reason of having smart officers/members, the group has difficulty in creating final decisions need for a particular activity. Everyone wants their idea to be recognized and to lead the project. Undeniably, everyone is afraid to lower their pride because of the authority they have in the position.

Indeed, lowering ones pride keeps the group united. We need to respect everyone’s decision to produce better result. We need our ideas, concepts, insights, and objectives to meet halfway. Consequently, the project will reach its highest performance through the combined efforts and concepts of all members of the group.

Let our minds meet halfway to meet expectations better.
