D20 Network July 5th 2022 updates
So, I hope you all have had a pleasant holiday if you did celebrate. for those of you who do not celebrate, I hope you have a wonderful day and I hope this finds you in great, peace and prosperity.
There's actually been a lot of hard work on this project being done, both under the hood and in the whole cosmetic aspect and even the game aspect We do intend to launch a flagship campaign and that effort is one that we are taking our time on.
We do not want to release something that is trash, as the example for that. Getting all the Kinks out getting everything set and though is of top priority.
The website
Within the next few days, we will be deploying our website... finally. Which will be a wealth of information as well as a place of updates for exactly how long and exactly why you should stick around.
Due Diligence Continues
We have the chance over the course of the weekend to sit down with around 8 tabletop Gamers as they explored a campaign. And basically got some ideas and as well as opinions as to how technology and the world of tabletop gaming should collide.
And it seems that we are on the right track.
A lot of it comes down to curation and availability tools and on-the-fly generators. That one can use to make their gaming experience. Much pleasing, or in some cases, assist a game master in starting up the game a lot faster.
Blockchain allows for great aspects of logging of in-game events. Actions rolls Etc. There's also a certain amount of textual information that can travel through it. So, just character data, Small amounts of. NPC, textual data.
And of course, here, and at ease and pictures videos, Etc, by use of other decentralized means.
It seemed as far as a curation is concerned. It's the availability of minigames and the promotion of games, within the game, that one can quickly deploy. For, let's say eight gambling scenario in the tablet or a dice game on the streets or drinking game on the streets. Even have. Scenarios for erotic roleplay that is either pagey up to extreme Parental Guidance.
Now, these were all things that in addition...
Caused us us to realize General D20 rules or D6 rules, or D100 rules, and whatever system we were playing were created by players of the game and some completely homebrew. A lot of these are open source but are spread out all over the internet. And it is our hope through artificial intelligence web crawlers another means of hide and seek and find . To curate a system, a library of such that we contain everything even more massive than what you would see in the curated awesome list.
There's a lot of really awesome stuff out there. That is being lost to time and that a little digging can find and bring back and breathe life into an old creative exodus
Speaking Of Open Source
Yeah, We also want to touch on the subject of Open Source assets for the baby figurines of the characters that you can print with a 3D printer or even 2D flat images that you can print, player sheet icons and more.
Of course commercial proprietary assets will be marked as such, and if they do cost money will be directed to the proper source.
And any others will be marked with their Associated copyrights and original creator.
The Team and our labor
We have been expanding our team to include a discord bot developer. This individual will be in charge of integrating the Bots with the blockchain and allowing for commands to be issued and recorded by the blockchain. As well as Information being sent from the Blockchain
This bot in the end will also serve as the resource database for the library and will be able to be used across servers, aside from our own.
Some final thoughts
Now, in the last blog, I briefly mentioned, artificial intelligence and I want to touch on that a little bit again, because the whole idea of AI in the blockchain has been something that everybody has been rip-roarin about lately. And I can tell you as somebody who is an advocate of AI and somebody who has studied AI enough to do some damage
I firmly believe that this is a perfect project to allow for a stress test of the Casual AI in the modern world. Okay. And what I mean by casual AI is individuals playing the game day - Cedric and call upon the AI with a verbal communication to log scores.
And then of course members of the chain could, then later verifiable scores having been Witnesses of the actual play.
AI has the ability to do a lot of World Generation character, generation act as characters. Actors townsfolk, large masses of people even So much can be done with it, as you know, it's only limited to the imagination. that's exactly what we are doing here is using And producing with our imaginations.
A lot of this so far, has been able to be accomplished through web Hooks and API, very crude version of a Voice to action model was set up last night with success and I said the response time at this current moment is a little under par for what we would hope.
Now in closing I also got a message on another Network in regards to no investors. And that this was basically a bunch of family and friends and acquaintances getting together and creating a business /blockhain project.
It seems that since the etherium I CO was invented that in order to claim a spot and get some Clout.
We got to advertise a Ponzi scheme of sorts or some type of public offering that says, pay bring your money. Because if we don't have money, we can't work. Well, that's entirely not true. We are working on the original Bitcoin conference. Secure, that concept is nobody had funding in the beginning.
Nobody had other people to give them money. It was all individual efforts, wasn't until around a couple of years, is that people actually started investing. And, of course, that's when companies started to form. So on and so forth. That is our model
It is our effort in the beginning and then it is a community of heard, what it's raring and ready to go.
We will be posting again in the few coming days.
We hope to see you then.
The D20 network is a very good website, because the web is very fast and stable, with that web we can find a lot of games.
