Asters are famous for their late-season blooms, and are even known to continue flowering after frosts have appeared in late fall. These hardy natives sport star-shaped, daisy-like blooms that provide essential food to a slew of native pollinators – just when they need it most. You’ll have many choices with regards to plant height and flower head size, as well as bloom color. Options range from white to pink all the way to purple, with some two-toned and tinged varieties in the mix. Asters do well in average soils with access to full sun.
