How to make homemade cherry juice?

How to make fresh cherry juice

Every housewife can choose how she wants to prepare cherry juice or syrup, because there are really a large number of recipes.

She has the option to make sugar-free cherry juice, then frozen cherry juice, and thick cherry juice or clear cherry juice, as well as cherry syrup, which she will cook or not.

However, what everyone should know is that not only are the recipes numerous, but they are also very easy to prepare. In principle, the most important thing is to adhere to the stated measures, and be sure to use fruit that is healthy.

It is well known that if at least one cherry fruit is not of good quality, then cherry juice, and especially uncooked cherry juice, can fail. Therefore, it is recommended to buy only larger cherries, which are healthy and prepare homemade cherry juice according to the selected recipe.

The simplest recipe involves the same amount of cherries and sugar, and the addition of preservatives and lemon juice. The basic measure is 3 kg of fruit and 3 kg of sugar, then three bags of lemon juice and one bag of preservatives.

Homemade cherry juice is prepared very simply, and after washing the fruit, it is necessary to remove the stones and put the cherries prepared in this way in a deeper pan.

You should then dissolve the limuntus in 1.5 l of water and pour the fruit over it. It is necessary to stand the fruit prepared in this way for 24 hours, but you must take care not to keep it warm. During those 24 hours, it is necessary to stir gently from time to time, in order to dissolve the prepared limuntus as well as possible.

After 24 hours, you should first mash the cherries lightly, and then put them in a blender or mash them as when preparing mashed potatoes.

As the recipe further states, you should then mix the cherry juice with the prepared amount of sugar and cook until it boils. After the mixture boils, it is necessary to continue to simmer on low heat for about 10 minutes.

As soon as that period is over, remove the sherpa from the hob and add the previously prepared preservative.

In the meantime, you should prepare bottles, in which you will pour thick cherry juice, and it is certainly desirable to sterilize them in the oven. The sterilization procedure at home means leaving the bottles in the oven at the highest temperature for a few minutes, in order to disinfect them. And after you add the preservative and mix everything lightly, you need to pour homemade cherry juice into the bottles prepared in this way. Do not close the bottles immediately, but cover them with a clean cotton cloth and allow them to cool naturally.

It should be borne in mind that although a preservative, ie limuntus, has been added, it does not affect the quality of the prepared juice. The only reason for the existence of such a recipe is better maintenance of the juice for a longer period of time.

Cherry juice from the freezer recipe

How to make cherry juice from the freezer

Of course, there are many more recipes for preparing this juice, and in principle, it doesn't matter if you prepare cherry juice from the freezer, that is, frozen cherry juice, because the procedure is completely the same.

Although, in general, the biggest problem for many housewives is extracting the seeds, so far no recipe has been invented for cherry juice with the stone. But if that is such a problem for you, you can carefully strain the mixture after preparation, after which the stones will remain in the gauze, so the entire procedure will be shortened. However, this is not recommended, except in certain cases, no matter how boring it was to remove the stones, because the homemade cherry juice that you prepare in this way can have a somewhat pungent taste, precisely because you did not remove the stones.

In order to make the process of preparing this extremely tasty and refreshing drink easier for every housewife, we must mention that it is always better to prepare cherry juice with the addition of sugar, because that way it can last much longer. But usually young mothers try to prepare cherry juice without sugar for their children, because it is definitely healthier. However, you should then offer the child an alternative, for example, prepare a banana puree and the juice prepared in that way.

It is quite logical that in that case, the recipe for cherry juice is much simpler, and that it will be prepared faster. Generally speaking, homemade cherry juice, without the addition of sugar, is prepared practically for single use, since it can be maintained in a very short period of time. In addition, it is a very simple recipe, because you only need to mash the cherries and then pass them through gauze. It is easier in the sense that, in fact, only in that case you prepare cherry juice with the stone, that is, you do not have to get your hands dirty and tormented beforehand, in order to remove all the stones from the fruit. Immediately after squeezing such a clear cherry juice, you should prepare a porridge for your child, and enable him to eat extremely healthy food in the best possible form.

Cherry juice without cooking

As we have already mentioned, when it comes to cherry juice, the recipe should not be a problem, because there are many other ways to prepare it.

One of them is cherry juice without cooking, and when you need fruit, sugar, limuntus and, if desired, vanilla sugar.

It is exactly the same size as in the previous recipe, so for 3 kg of fruit, 3 kg of sugar goes. You need three bags of lemon juice from the ingredients, and if you like the taste of vanilla, then you can add one to two, possibly three bags.

It is much easier in principle to prepare uncooked cherry juice, but you should know that it is even harder to maintain. For that reason, it is desirable to consume it as soon as possible after preparation and, of course, store it in a cool place, primarily in the refrigerator.

You should wash the cherries well, and remove the stones from them, and as in the previous recipe, put them in the sherpa prepared in this way. Limuntus should be diluted in 1.5 liters of plain water, and thus pour over the prepared cherries.

And the difference with this recipe in relation to the previous one is that you need to mash the cherries immediately, either with your hands or with a mashed potato press. After you do that, cover the sherpa with a cotton cloth and let it stand for 12 hours, and during the night it is best.

Prepare a larger strainer and strain the fruit through it, and it is desirable to strain the mixture through gauze after that, to really get clear cherry juice.

After doing that, add the prepared amount of sugar and stir constantly, until it melts.

On this occasion, it is not necessary to sterilize the bottles, but you can simply pour the prepared homemade cherry juice into ordinary bottles, so it is very important to take care of where you will store it. In order to keep it as long as possible, it is desirable to store it in the refrigerator, ie in a place that is colder and darker.

Cherry syrup recipe

Another way to preserve this fruit is cherry syrup. This is exactly how it can last the longest, so in that case, your family has the opportunity to consume homemade cherry juice during the winter months as well.

From the ingredients, in addition to fruit, you also need sugar, as well as water and limuntus.

The amount of fruit and sugar will be defined later, that is, after you strain the juice, you will know how much sugar you will need. You will definitely use both limuntus and water. You should put 3 bags of lemon juice and 5 liters of water on 5 kilograms of fruit.

You will be delighted with the fact that in this case, cherry juice is prepared with the stone, and you only need to remove the stalks from the fruit.

And after you do that and put the prepared amount of fruit in a deeper sherpa, you need to add limuntus, that is, sprinkle the fruit with it and pour the prepared amount of water.

When you mix the fruit prepared in this way with lemon juice and water, and after it has stood for 24 hours, it is necessary to gently mash it and strain the juice through gauze or a strainer. Only then will you actually know how much sugar you need to add, based on the amount of juice obtained. The recipe is simple, because you add as much sugar as you have juice. Of course, if you prepare cherry juice in this way, you can change the recipe in this segment, that is, add a larger or smaller amount of sugar, according to your own taste.

On a low heat, you should cook cherry syrup for 10 to 15 minutes in this way, while constantly removing the foam. Strain after about ten minutes, but you need to continue cooking. Namely, in order for the boiled cherry syrup to be of the highest quality, it is necessary to leave it to boil for another ten minutes. It should not appear in a large amount of foam then, and even if it does, don't forget to take it off.

After the other 10 minutes have elapsed, and you have previously sterilized the bottles in the oven, it is necessary to pour the hot cherry syrup into warm bottles and leave them in a warm place to cool naturally. In this case, too, it is not recommended to close the bottles immediately, but to cover them, and put either cloths or pillows between them, so that they are warm for as long as possible.

How to make cherries?

Another extremely tasty drink made from this fruit is cherry or homemade cherry liqueur. Its preparation is extremely easy and fast, you just need excellent homemade brandy. We emphasize that you should not clean this fruit from the stones in that case, because cherries will be even tastier.

Washed cherries should be sprinkled with sugar and arranged in a bottle, and then poured with brandy. Then you will put that bottle in a dark place and shake it from time to time, in order to melt the sugar as well as possible.

Although cherries are tastier the longer they last, you can consume them after a few months.

As for the measures, usually 500 g of sugar and about a liter of brandy should be added to 500 g of fruit. It is much easier to order fruit into the chosen bottle, sprinkle it with sugar and pour brandy to the top of the bottle.
