Babies experience great changes at this stage, and they also acquire knowledge that will serve as the basis for the rest of their lives.

In the first year of life, human beings undergo a series of transformations that are undoubtedly of great importance for their future. It is a stage of maturation and acquisition of learning that will be used throughout its existence. Environmental factors and the education they receive are of great importance for its development.

Moment of changes

First month: Usually the baby is on the amoeba with the head turned to one side, the arm on that side extended and the other flexed. When an object touches his mouth, the sucking reflex appears. His hands usually remain closed and his eyes immobile, as if he were absorbed. He may react to a noise by startling, crying, or frowning.

Fourth month: Makes legs, arms, or head approaches toward objects in front of him. When lying on the abdomen, he is able to lift his head and neck, using his arms and elbows as support points, he can take some objects with his hands and turn when hearing sounds that come from places or people that are out of his reach visual. He keeps his head steady when sitting with support, although his torso tends to push forward.

Seventh month: he is able to sit up without help. He eats solid foods. He is very restless, therefore safety measures must be established to avoid accidents. He can take an object with each hand without letting go of any. It should be left on the ground to help him crawl.

Tenth month: The child crawls and stands up leaning on objects such as a chair. If you hold his hands he can give coordinated gait movements. He continues the exploration because of it, he wants to touch all the objects or put them in his mouth. In this way he can get to know the world around him.

Twelfth month: The child begins to walk and moves from one place to another, although he may fall because his coordination is not the best. He stands alone, without leaning on any person or object. He points to what he wants with his fingers.

World of sensations

Although it seems incredible, it is the first year, the time when human beings are busiest, because they adapt to a place other than the mother's womb, which is where they come from; They learn to walk, enjoy or reject a diversity of flavors, know a wide range of sounds, begin to touch and experience different textures, observe the environment, perceive the first smells, collect many lessons in just 12 months and experience a great variety of sensations .

Body language

The adult who accompanies the baby during her care should observe her and learn to know her to give meaning to the signals she emits, through her gestures and other body language. The baby not only needs to receive care, he also has to express himself and emit signs that allow to refine the care and look for the stimuli that will activate his sensorimotor development.

To establish a non verbal dialogue with the baby, the mother must read and interpret the signs that the infant's body emits, in this way communication guidelines between mother and child will be established. For the baby to be able to express himself adequately, a conducive environment must be created. It will develop properly through exercise from an early age.

Key factor stimulation:

They are a set of scientifically based techniques and activities that allow the baby's potential to develop to the fullest and in a fun way. It boosts the motor, cognitive, social and emotional part of the little one. They are used from her birth until they reach the age of six. Each stage of the life of children needs different stimuli and also each individual goes at their own pace. At the beginning, the activities that are carried out focus on massages and sensory stimuli. Month by month, as the child grows, different movements and exercises can be applied to strengthen the muscles of various parts of his body.

At first, the activities focus on physical development, but later speech should be stimulated by repeating key words such as mom and dad.
