How many people are there in Venezuela with Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and they don't know it?
We live in a world full of passion and debauchery, confusing the true freedom that only comes from God. "Then you will know the truth and the truth will set you free" (Jn 8,32). Perhaps our truth is not true for others.
But could the truth about AIDS be denied?
AIDS is a reality and many of us think under the prison and curtain of lies, that there is no risk of contamination.
We don't take care of ourselves or we think that taking care of ourselves is using condoms in sexual relations; When science itself has said that approximately twenty percent are not safe in stopping the HIV virus using this means; and we, as Catholics say, that it should not be used, rather it contributes in certain sectors of life to continue being slaves of promiscuity.
There are other means such as the use of syringes, or instruments contaminated with infected blood, frequently used in the prisons of our country, or in discos, where they even prick you, leaving you contaminated. It is like a time bomb placed in your house, you do not know the day and time it will explode.
There are also cases of infected mothers that during pregnancy, childbirth or lactation, contaminate these little creatures.
Friends is a reality that we must all raise awareness; taking seriously this ever-increasing pandemic and the first reason for not being infected is fidelity to God and to our wives and although it seems ridiculous to many, we must imitate the customs of some of our ancestors: If we are boyfriends before we are married, marriage In most cases I have sex with you, I don't like you anymore, I'm going with the other one. It seems that the fire of the flesh is more powerful than fidelity to true values.
Is it not true to be faithful to God and hope to get married, to form a family and be faithful until death do us part, and AIDS does not separate us because we are unfaithful?
Because of this truth, there are many communities, many foundations that have responded to the AIDS problem in Venezuela, providing comprehensive care for affected children and their parents, as well as establishing preventive programs that help prevent more children with AIDS from being born.
