*Harmattan is nobody's mate o*
π€§π€§π€§π€§π₯±π€§π€§
So here's a thing...this morning I decided to wear my twists out (haven't done that in a long, long time)π₯
So I moisturised my hair properly with water, conditioner and then sealed in with coconut hair oil.
I had not even gotten to my destination when I noticed something...
My hair was dry!!π²π²π²π²π²π²π²π²
Like it was so dry...I had to reapply a leave in conditioner when I got to where I was going. Thankfully, my friend had a leave in conditioner I could useπππππ
(Get friends wey get hair stuff oπππ)
*Harmattan always wants to drink in moisture!*....
This weather doesn't respect anyone...it will strip your hair and skin of all moisture it can get except you have or get Avocado oil..
So you have to be very *intentional* about your hair care this period.
The following tips would helpπ€ππ»ππ»ππ»
*Tips For Your Hair This Period*
π¦π§π¦π§π§
π *Drink water*
You wanna chill with the big girls of natural hair... please stay hydrated.
While this season might not make you thirsty, be intentional about taking water.
Helps you stay hydrated from within.
π *Moisturise ooooo!!!*
High porosity ladies...use LOC (liquid, oil, conditioner) to moisturise your hair and do it properly, concentrating at the tips of your hair.
Low porosity ladies ..LCO does it for y'all.
Moisturise even if it's more than once a day...your hair needs all the moisture it can get now.
π *Cover your hair*
The weather might be cold so you might find yourself wanting to wear something over your hair. Your satin bonnet can come in handy here. If you'll go out, please cover your hair with satin scarves. Wigs can come in handy too, this season it will help protect your hair in.
π *Protective Styles*
This is the best period to make protective styles that will not leave your hair exposed, especially the ends. You can make braids, corn rows, twists etc..but make sure it's not tight and keep your edges in health too by moisturising and avoid frequent use of gels.
π you should moisturize your hair even when you are not going anywhere. Even if you'll stay home all day, please moisturise your hair.
βοΈπ¦ *Tucking or weaving your ends in, especially after moisturizing it this period will prevent it from breakage*
βοΈπ¦ *While you'll use oils this period, don't use too much of them so they don't attract dust to your hair. Water and conditioners are needed more than oils or creams this period*
I am so sure you found these helpful.
Do well to share with your friends.
Much love guysππ
