*taking care of itchy scalp for 2022 hair journey*

You don't wanna compare your hair to that friend of yours, sister of yours or even that of your mum

You know, everyone has a unique hair, a unique curl pattern peculiar to you and your hair alone.

So all you have to do is know your hair type and then all the things that comes with it.

Comparing your hair might just shift your focus from taking care of your hair and that won't aid your hair growth at all๐Ÿฅบ๐Ÿฅบ

So sister, appreciate your hair, accept it and take care of it.

Whether it's natural or relaxed, you have the responsibility of taking care of your hair and rocking it!๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

Now here's a twist, you can actually have some hair influencers you can follow, whose hair you admire and all. Those whose hair growth and hair health spurs you to take care of yours and achieve your own hair goals.

You can practice that but don't get so absorbed into it that you don't get to take care of yours๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ˜Š

It's your crown, so nurture it and wear it well๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ๐Ÿคธ๐Ÿฝโ€โ™€๏ธ

*Itchy Scalp!!!! Why* ๐Ÿ˜ญ

In the last couple of weeks, I've heard ladies complain about the fact that their *scalp is itchy* !!!

๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“

It ain't just normal to have your hands running through your hair in a discomforting manner, some have injured their scalp because of the itch๐Ÿ˜ญ

Now here are some causes of itchy scalp;

๐Ÿ“dandruff : this is caused as a result of dryness which Can cause flakiness On the scalp. Some types of dandruff can be hereditary and fungus related or an inflammatory skin condition. This type has to see a doctor.

๐Ÿ“poor hair and scalp hygiene

๐Ÿ“lice and nits in the hair

๐Ÿ“use of wrong hair products like shampoos and conditioners

*How can this be cured?*

๐Ÿ“maintain a proper hair hygiene. Don't wait until your hair is dirty before you wash it. You can wash at least once or twice a month.

๐Ÿ“ follow a healthy hair regimen that suits your hair porosity type. That way, you'll be able to monitor how to keep your hair moisturised on a daily basis.

๐Ÿ“stay hydrated and eat well and as Much as possible, reduce stress levels. Drink water!!!!

๐Ÿ“ use the right products. Harsh chemical products can pose a lot of risk to your scalp (more reason why relaxers ain't good)

Use natural based products, especially the ones that have mint in them

Some of them are:

*Mega growth 3 in one anti dandruff range*

*Elan shampoo*

*Aceqwwen herbal shampoo and rinse out conditioner*

You can also use oils like tea tree oil, peppermint oil mixed with a Carrier oil and apply on your scalp to soothen itch..

Meditreat cream is also very effective too

Ayurvedic oils which have a mix of these oils (tea tree and peppermint) are really good.

In all, maintain right hair practices and you will be fine. At any point you realize you are reacting to any products, please discontinue its use๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ“

I hope you find this helpful for your hair .
