Hello guys, took a little break to arrange my life and school stuff. I'm back for now, I'll try to balance my life so I can multitask peacefully. Hope you guys didn't miss me too much.

So today we are going to talk about 2023 Nigeria presidential election.

Regarding next year's elections, heads has began to turn and look forward to the next Nigerian presidential elections happening in 2023. One of the most prominent and popular politicians in the country named Bola Tinubu has just come out to declare his interest in running for the 2023 presidential elections.

The National leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC)[a Nigerian political party], Bola Tinubu said that he has tolded the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari (who also happens to be a fellow party member) his intentions of running in the next presidential elections.

According to him, the President is a democrat and therefore, has not asked him to stop the pursuit of his ambition which for him is life-long.

Bola Tinubu also known as the 'Jagaban of Lagos' is far more than just a former Governor of Lagos State. No other politician in recent times has the kind of influence Tinubu has over the people and politics in South-western Nigeria.

In 2014, he was the main master mind behind the coalition that led to the formation of the All Progressives Congress (APC). APC triumph lead to the displacement of the party in power (Peoples Democracy Party-PDP), which up till that moment had ruled Nigeria for 16 years.

Another former Governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Fashola, who is currently the minister of works and housing, stated in 2021 that Bola Tinubu would make his intentions of running for the presidency known by January 2022.

It is no more a mere rumour, Bola Tinubu is indeed interested in running for the position of president in 2023. Recently, posters and billboards advertising the presidential bid of Tinubu have been seen in major cities, including Lagos and Abuja.

Tinubu, who will be turning 70 by March 2022 seems too old for this position. Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu in October 2021 inaugurated the South-West Agenda for 2023. It is a political movement mobilising support for Tinubu to contest in the 2023 presidential election.

It is really becoming a cycle in Nigeria, the political system in the nation is completely full of old people who have previously ruled and have some sphere of influence in the country.

Is this the way a democratic government is supposed to be run?

In fact, where are the leaders of tomorrow?

These old men or rather godfathers who are responsible for ruining Nigeria and bringing it to it's present state have all refused to leave the nation alone. Seems as if the taste of power is addictive.

If experience has something to do with effective performance in office , he may likely do well in office. He had one time been in office as the Lagos State Governor. Well this is experience . To me , he may perform as President . God willing.
